Oct 2013 - $15.00
It's been three years since we reviewed this campground and when we got here this year, we were pleased to find that little has changed. The overnight fee is still only $15 and the golf is incredibly cheap. You still get a free golf cart when you arrive and you only pay when you take it golfing -- 50 cents per hole per person. The place is very laid back with few rules and the owner and staff will do anything to make your stay enjoyable. - Johnnyonthespot
Nov 2010 - $16.00
This is an undiscovered gem that is one of our favorite stops, especially because we're golfers. The campground is attached to a 27-hole golf course and this year they were offering a $15 special -- golf all day with a cart. When you set up in the campground, they bring you a golf cart and charger, which is yours to use during your stay. The golf cart is free until you go golfing. The golf carts are getting a little old, but they still work. The only negative aspect to this campground is that Cochran is a small town and there is nothing to do except golf. I should also mention that the owner and staff are exceptionally friendly. - Johnnyonthespot
Mar 2008 - $15.00
This campground is everything the other reviewers have said. It is not listed in either Woodals or Trailer Life, so we were a bit hesitant to stop, but we are very glad we did. Cochran (the town) has nothing for tourists, but the campground makes up for this shortcoming. Each camper gets a golf cart which is free until taken on the golf course and with a golf "family membership" at $35 per month, is often. All fees are payable upon leaving - a tab is kept for golf and camping. Twenty seven holes and no tee times required except on the weekend. Sites are open grass with full hookups (including WiFi, but look at the antenna location before parking to insure signal strength) with ample space for your toad and golf cart to park. Staff is very helpful and friendly. I would like to keep this gem a secret undiscovered CG, but I am sure that the word will get out. 32.36221N 83.34269W - mediawise
Apr 2017 - $35.00
We stayed at Hillside for a month. It is a beautiful campground with lots of room. We had lots of space at our site, and didn't feel crowded, even though there were several people in our section. There was room for me to ride my bicycle, and plenty of room to walk our dogs. This campground is NOT breed restrictive, which is good for pibble owners. There is a huge pond to fish in, and my husband caught enough to have a big fish fry and treat our neighbors. We planned to stay until the annual bluegrass festival, but family matters in Indiana made us cut our stay short. We will definitely visit this campground again. - Matt_Susan63801
Apr 2017 - $27.00
We have been here since February first almost 3 months best kept secret in middle Georgia. RV park is more like a provincial park in Canada. The owners and staff are very nice people. They are constantly working to improve the property. The golf around here is cheap and only 5 min from the park, so if you like golf, nature and peace and quiet this is the place. - dutchyy
Feb 2017 - $29.00
This park is located in rural Georgia. It is not fancy, but that's not what we were looking for and we loved it's rustic charm. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a Full hookup pull-thru. There is no cable, but the wifi is great. We peeked inside the shower house and it was very clean. We would definitely stay here again if in the area. They have a pool and playground. There also is a Bluegrass Festival every spring and fall. Sites were dirt, but level. - harvmoon
Mar 2012 - $22.00
Well the place is quiet: except I kept hearing the dueling banjo music. The drive up to the place was bumpy rutted sand. We pulled up in front of mobile home that had seen better days. The guy who came out had a dazed look and T-shirt that was more holes than shirt and gave me vague directions back to the site, just go to site 25. That was our first problem there were only 15 sites. So we found a site that would work and checked under the trash can to find the water and electric. Water worked fine but the was an open ground on the 50 amp hook up and no breaker to turn it on and off. We checked 2 other sites and found the same thing. So we packed up and went down the road. However the Verizon MiFi worked fine. If they get the electrical fixed and bring it up to code this place might be just fine. But I think I'd keep hearing that banjo music. - pumper9x9
Sep 2011 - $17.00
This one is special! Back to nature is what you get. A few miles off the interstate and off any other road you will experience how quiet a campground can be. The sites are dirt and fairly level, most are shaded by trees. Lots of space on the site and to the neighbors. We had electric and water hookup and used the dump station at the entrance. The way in and out is extremely bumpy, lots of deep potholes and one terrible negative speedbump, so you want to drive REALLY slowly. However, we made it without breaking any dishes and loved our stay here. The washrooms were very basic but appeared to be clean. Laundry was just fine, we didn't expect any for that cheap rate. We would love to find more campgrounds like this one for a stopover night. - TheSchweitzers
Feb 2011 - $22.00
Most sites are shaded with views of the ponds. Very quiet, friendly owners. - mecicon
Apr 2018 - $37.00
Excellent gay campground in middle GA. Nice sites that are a good distance from the entertainment building. Incredible grounds 150+ acres so lots of hiking space. Nice pool with hot tub summer months the restaurant is open serving good food. The owners and most staff go above and beyond to make sure your visit is excellent. - Campin Kayak
Feb 2017 - $34.00
My husband and I had an extended stay at Oz Campground in Unadilla Georgia. The park is spacious with a nice pool, hot tub, cafe, and dance bar open three nights a week. However during our stay we encountered a violent attack which the owners dismissed and refused to have the police involved, even though we no longer felt safe. Additionally we told the owners about the drugs we witnessed among long-term residents, which was laughed away and denied. We found the owners to be thin skinned, intolerant of outsider feedback and a lack of trustworthiness from management.
Other experiences we had included the front office opening almost every piece of mail we received, rudeness from residence, inconsistent Internet service, severely limited cell phone access
We will NEVER go back. - Blabber Mouth
Nov 2015 - $35.00
We stopped overnight.. The park is close to I75, close to Kroger fuel, restaurants and shopping.. The staff was friendly and there was plenty of room to maneuver our mh with toad into one of the many pull through sites.. Full hookup with cable and good cell service, AT&T.. Services worked good although I question the electric hookups, a lot didn't have covers and there were a lot of open holes for rain to be able to get into electric panels, they definitely need some work here.. Sites are close but level there are a lot of trees for shade and there are some permanent residents in the campground but it was quiet all night.. For an over niter this place is ok, we would stay here again.. - smoky40
Jan 2012 - $27.00
Very friendly, just an overnight stop. Electrical on site was poor, ground fault interrupter kept tripping. Can walk to Walmart or to eat, so no need to unhook. Nothing to excite you here; just a place to sleep. Some permanent residents, all friendly. Has a "pool," but have never seen it open. - nanapapi
Sep 2011 - $31.00
This was the last stop on my road trip home to Florida. Quick in and out from the interstate made this stop an easy choice. Nice people but if you don't like cats, don't go in the office. It wreaked of cat urine. Site was level and long though a bit narrow for my two slideouts. I had to be very careful when setting up. The water, sewer, and power were close to the back end of the pull-through so a bit of a stretch for all my cords. Nice grassy area for the puppies. There are several long term residences in this park that give it a very southern, hospitable atmosphere. Lots of stores, restaurants and a WalMart within walking distance so you don't have to unhook your rig! Big plus. - rvannie
Jun 2018 - $15.00
Great for an overnight stop. Owner very friendly and looking for dependable employees. There are showers with bath and dressing area however we did not use them. Two washers and two dryers. We travelled with another rig and had pull thru's. We would stay again. - RayMars
Mar 2018 - $15.00
I almost didn't stop over here because of the bad reviews on here. But, I said, it is just 1 night, we will just suffer through it. HOWEVER, it was freaking nice. I don't get it. There is a small slightly congested area for long term RVs BUT if you are just staying a few nights you go to this really nice open area. Go through the congested long term sites to the field with the nice spacious pull through sites. You might not see an attendant right away but if you called in advance just go ahead and find a site, park, and hook up. They will be around eventually. It is very peaceful, clean, and we decided to stay a 2nd night! Now there's no playground, wifi, or cable but if you want that then go find a resort. If you want a clean safe place to stay a few days, definitely stop here. The website is old and no longer updated. The current info is on the Passport America site. The phone number on the website is still accurate. We also fished in the pond and caught some Bass. I would stay here again. We are a married couple traveling with 2 teenagers, and 2 dogs. - Jade Beavers
Jan 2017 - $35.00
This place was a mud pit. There is no concrete, and the sites are very close together.
The owner and "host" were nice enough, but the park was nothing like I expected based on their web site.
I wouldn't want to go back again, but the location is convenient for a stop over. - Sweetcornprincess
Oct 2018 - $25.00
Owners are very nice and helpful. Grounds need some attention. Sites are pretty unlevel. Lots of live in's with people in and out all night. 50 amp was added on after the original 30 amp and didn't have a breaker, just a small box with the receptacle. I believe 50 amp service is only on a few sites and is first come first serve. Close to the main road and interstate so it's not very quiet. Didn't feel as secure here as most campgrounds, but didn't have any problems. Don't think we'll be back. - Lostinfla
Aug 2018 - $37.00
Very nice RV Travel Park!
Owners are wonderful! They worked with us as our plans were a bit tentative when we made our reservations. No one could have been more understanding, helpful, gracious, or hospitable!
Sites are small, but tidy and grassy. Everything about this park is clean & inviting, even in Georgia’s August heat!
We will definitely come back to Crossroads when we are in the area. - Ricflo
Apr 2018 - $28.00
This is a Good Sam and Passport America park, you can get the Passport rate for 3 nights. Management changed from 6 days to 3. The park is right off the I-75 so there is some noise. Site was asphalt with cracks and indentations and sloping down at the end, took extra jacks to get level. Sewer connection at very back so needed 20 ft of hose. Laundry small, machines outdated, 1.50 to wash 1.25 to dry, dryers did not work well. Expanded cable, good WiFi , good water pressure. Lots of long term residents; those sites are wider. Entrance road needs repaving. - DBSnowbirds
Oct 2018 - $44.00
This is our 3rd time staying here when traveling to/from Florida. This is an excellent stopover, but we wouldn't hesitate to stay here longer if staying in the area. It's an easy on/off I-75. The park is well thought out with easy parking for check-in and easy navigation to the site. There are lots of trees for shade, but there isn't a problem with slides or awnings as the sites are wide. Our FHU, pull-thru was gravel and level. The WiFi & cable were very good, and we had good Verizon cell service. The park is large, so there's plenty of walking space. There is some interstate noise outside, but not inside the RV. We will definitely stay here again. - Gayle E.
Sep 2018 - $39.00
Cable is almost so snowy, use the services are at entrance area. If you pull forward so as to not disconnect tow then you better have an extremely long septic and water hose. Beware wet weather. Except for parking area it is dirt. Bottom line - a relatively premium price for little quality. - granpoobah
Sep 2018 - $30.00
We have stayed here many times, but never got around to posting to RV Park Review. This park hands down is one of the nicest parks we've stayed in. The office staff is super nice and friendly. Full hookups include free WiFi and cable. We were lucky to get a back in spot on the lake. Most spots are pull thru. There are stables on the property that we walk thru and see the horses. It is very family orenionted. Our grandsons enjoy all the goats and fishing in the pond. - archbarb
Jun 2007 - $38.00
Weird place. Looks like it's been closed for 20 years. The host, appears from the back residence, charged me $38 and the only other camper there (a 5th wheel) $32. Said that I used more electricity than a 5th wheel. Bath house was ancient, but fairly clean. Watch out for the big snake by the old ice house. - Adventurer37
Dec 2006 - $35.00
This is not a bad campground. It's just way out of line on pricing since you get zero amenities. I was given one price on the telephone, yet on arrival the price was increased and I was told that only an estimate is given on the phone and a "final price" is given when you arrive. I wasn't told that on the phone. Others who arrived and used the same services were charged $10.00 less than me. And, another in a year newer coach than mine were charged even more than I was. The owner has you between a rock and a hard place if you need to be in the area. He just doesn't seem to realize that a full campground at one rate would be a lot more profitable than an empty campground at an extreme rate. The sites are worth maybe $15.00 to $20.00 nightly, not the high rate I was charged. - TaylorShopping
Nov 2018 - $20.00
Great small park in Elko, GA. Overnight stay on the way home to Florida. We have used this CG many times traveling North-South. Easy on-off from I-75. Staff waiting for you and will escort you to site and once settled you go into office and pay. Big Rig friendly. They accept Passport America (cash/check). Our site was #6 PT FHU, level, no cable but has clear view (sites 1-7) so you can get satellite. Other sites are shaded and PT/back-in's FHU. Dog park, pool and hottub (closed for season), clubhouse has large cable TV. This is our go-to CG when traveling through this area. - RTM
Oct 2018 - $34.00
Spent one night on the way north and was pleasantly surprised - this is a very nice, well maintained park. We will definitely stay here again if we're in the area. - rburckhart
Oct 2018 - $20.00
PT site very narrow! Otherwise it was okay, level. Wifi was good but no TV. Nice staff. Great price for overnight. - CSM Carolyn
