Excellent two night stay so that we could visit the Infantry Museum at Fort Benning. Our site was sloped more than I like, but I could get within 1 degree after moving around on the site. The grounds appear to be set up for events such as weddings so the landscaping was nice. We camped at Lake Pines RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

We stayed in site 21. Park is mostly permanent residents but their sites were neat, tidy and others were friendly. This is about the most level sites I have ever stayed in. Front to back and side to side were perfectly level. When making reservations I asked about Wi-Fi and they said yes. When checking in I asked about Wi-Fi and they said yes. At my site there was no Wi-Fi. Signal showed when I tried to log in but was unable to establish a connection. When speaking to owners they were indifferent. Their website stated that they were Passport America members but would not give the discount. Sites were staggered which placed you away from neighbors sewer but distance is so far that 2 hoses were needed. I used the 50 amp connection reduced to 30 amp because the weather was mild and we were staying one night. Voltage was barely 110 volts when AC and nothing else was running. I would stay here again but I dislike campgrounds that do not fulfill promises. The campground had huge sites but many were being narrowed to accommodate more travelers. TV is over the air with few stations. We camped at Lake Pines RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

All hookups worked fine. Although the campground advertised wifi, it never connected. The sewer connection was at the back of the site, necessitating 3 hoses to connect. The sites were uneven gravel. The pull throughs seemed to be a little better than the back ins. Only 2 of the 3 washers and dryers were working. Sites were close together. Our site had no picnic table or fire ring. The interior roadway was deeply rutted. We camped at Lake Pines RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed two nights using Passport America. Clean, well laid out park with nice pool, laundry room and hiking trail. Arrived around 1:00pm and the office was closed with packet on porch. I never once saw any camp personnel during the two days I was there. The office never opened, no one drove by, nothing. I logged onto their "WiFi" network when I first arrived but was never connected to the internet. So, WiFi? Yes "Internet" NO! If passing through, I would stay here again but only for a night or two. Most of the sites are taken by long term folks several who I saw walking their pets and not cleaning up after them. We camped at Lake Pines RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

They say they are a Passport America park but they were not giving the PPA discount when we were there because they expected to be nearly full. So you have to take your chances.

They say they have wifi but we could not get on the entire time we were here. (We left after 2 days because of no Passport America discount and no usable wifi.)

The lady in the office (Debbie) was wonderful! Very capable and nice. Site 5 was not level, but nice and open for satellite TV. Sites are gravel. Park is quiet. All utilities worked very well. It just seemed expensive for what we got. We camped at Lake Pines RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Park is a work in progress. Mostly full time residents and workers in the area. The driveway is quite rough and tough to navigate. Really nice barn, chapel and pond on location but that's really it. Makes a good place to use as a stop over. The owner is on location and very nice. We camped at Lake Pines RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

We stayed at Lake Pines as an overnight on our way thru the Columbus area. I called the day before arrival, and spoke to a very polite female staff member who understood our needs well. We have small children, and because it was just an over night trip, wouldn't be unhooking from our tow vehicle. She did well to match us up with one of the few remaining sites based on those needs. We arrived after the office had closed for the day, but an envelope with our name was on the office door. The envelope had a park map with the best way into the site drawn. All sites are gravel, fairly off level, and our's did not have a picnic table. The full hook ups were adequate. However on our site, #56 the hookups were at the back of the TT, and a post which made it impossible to get closer. This required us to stretch our water, and sewer hoses as far as they would stretch. Another foot or two, and the hook ups would have been worthless. As mentioned, we were put in a site that met our needs to leave 57 feet worth of TT and TV hooked up. You could have parked another vehicle in front and still been out of the road. We were also a short walk from a well kept, clean swimming pool and playground. As mentioned in other reviews, there are a couple of down sides to this park. You are right beside a railroad track, and if not awakened by a horn blast, you certainly will feel your RV shudder from the nearby train. Secondly, also as mentioned in other reviews, the bathhouse is dated, and even though management keeps it clean, its dinginess makes it less than desirable to do your business. Lastly, also mentioned in other reviews, there seem to be a lot of long term/full timers in the park in older run down rigs. This unfortunately gives the park a feel of being a trailer park rather than an RV park. Overall Lake Pines is good for an over night or two, but I couldn't imagine anything longer. We camped at Lake Pines RV Park and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This is a beautiful looking park. Lots of trees and grass but easy to get around. Our site was long, wide, and level, plenty of room for slides. It was quiet at night, despite being close to a highway and railroad track. I only heard one train the entire time we were here (overnight only). Utilities were good. Decent Verizon cell and Internet. There are event facilities on site, there was a wedding and reception going on the night we were there, but there was no noise problem. They are far enough away from the campsites. Service was friendly and efficient. We camped at Lake Pines RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

The park is located in a nice wooded area close to downtown Columbus GA and Fort Benning. The campground is mostly gravel with a lot of full time residents. The only bathhouse was pretty run down. The power, water and sewer worked fine. The off air TV signals were pretty good as well as the Verizon 4G coverage. However Wifi was not very good with limited bandwidth. We camped at Lake Pines RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We stopped here to visit the National Civil War Naval Museum in downtown Columbus. This is a very interesting museum in that it covers the navies of both the Union and the Confederacy and the battles they fought.

This park is right off of US80 East of Columbus but convenient to Ft. Benning, downtown and the Chattahoochee River. The entrance is a little narrow with some potholes and two big rigs passing would be tight. It looks like many of the sites are seasonal, but kept up for the most part. We had a nice pull through with full hook-ups near the office. The site was level with well located utilities. Cable reception was very good and the Verizon signal was strong. We camped at Lake Pines RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The National Infantry Museum near Ft. Benning is a must see. On most Fridays there is a class of new Infantry Soldiers graduating on the parade grounds behind the Museum. That too is well worth a couple hours. The local Army band plays and there is a demonstration of a typical Infantry Squad showing the personnel, equipment and how they deploy. Ask at the museum if there will be a graduation when you are there.

We stayed here for 2 weeks in our motor home. The train noise didn't cause us any problems...wasn't that frequent and never disturbed our sleep. We had no noise from other campers (as mentioned in another review) other than what one would normally expect in a campground. Site was level. Campground and our site were both easy to get in and out of. Office personnel was very accommodating. We'll definitely stay here whenever we visit our daughter at Fort Bening. We camped at Lake Pines RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

This is a nice park that accepts Passport America. We had a nice pull through site with a clear view for satellite reception. Columbus is a great town with lots of restaurants and is only a few minutes from Auburn/Opelika where one of the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail courses is located. We camped at Lake Pines RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

If you have time be sure to take a short day trip to Andersonville, site of the infamous Civil War prison. You can tour in your car with a cd they loan you for free in the visitor center. It is a very interesting and sobering experience. After your tour be sure to visit the TINY downtown of Andersonville to have lunch. The local café had outstanding food at a most reasonable price...don't miss it.

The reason for such a low rating was due to the bathrooms. I usually try to use the camp restrooms, but there were so bad I opted for using my motor home shower, which is an event since we only have 7 gal. of hot water. The lot was level, the location was great since we had planned on going to Columbus the next day to see the Civil War Naval Museum. We only stayed overnight. This would NOT be a destination park. We camped at Lake Pines RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

This is a nice campground in the pines; when you check in you might tell them if you need satellite so they can find a site for you if one is available. The park has good cable and antenna reception is good. There was no noise from the Army base, but there were trains honking for the crossing. The highway was close, but little road noise. The office staff were helpful and friendly, and the sites were level and long. There are many permanent residents that work at the base or town and leave early. Some are quite noisy. We would definitely stay here again if in the area. We camped at Lake Pines RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Many monthly rentals here for people working at nearby Fort Benning or industry, so lots of regulars. Nice, level pull-thru sites with slab & picnic table for those like us who are just passing thru for a couple of days to visit nearby attractions. Clean grounds with tall old trees. Pool looks nice & new, but too cold to use in January! Very nice and accommodating office staff. Two drawbacks: dated bathrooms (but they were warm) and a nearby train that blew its whistle around 4 a.m. - we only heard that one out of three nights, though. We would definitely come again. We camped at Lake Pines RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

This is a very convenient location to Fort Benning. National Infantry Museum is a must see while here! We also visited Andersonville & Jimmy Carter National Historic Sites from this location. Columbus (10-15 minutes by car) has about all you would want - groceries, liquor stores, movies, stores, Walmart, etc.
