Exceptional park - from checkin to checkout and everything in between. The park hosts were top notch and the park was one of the best we've encountered in years. The park is perfectly laid out to maximize privacy. The entire park was very well maintained. Interior roads are paved and in good condition. Site drives are paved with large crushed gravel patios. We had no problem navigating with a 44' motorhome. We had a lakeside site. No sewer. Because of tree coverage we were unable to get satellite service but over the air provided an adequate number of stations. AT&T wireless was limited to 1 or 2 bars. Wonderfully remote but in close proximity to shopping restaurants and anything you could want. We camped at Bald Ridge Creek COE in a Motorhome.

This site is right on the lake. It was very easy to back into with our 38-foot 5th wheeler. Many of the sites would no accommodate a large rig, so chose carefully. The park is large and allows for nice walking. There is a boat launch, beach and several playgrounds. The lake is higher than it has been in a while which made the lake trail very muddy. There is no internet and TV reception is spotty. We camped at Bald Ridge Creek COE in a Fifth Wheel.

I would have rated it a 10 if there were sewers, very busy on weekends, but no problems with noise. Beautiful campground, attendants were helpful and they drive around to check on things. We camped at Bald Ridge Creek COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Great park with large sites that are mostly right down by the water. No sewer though and stays are limited to 14 days. They do have a dump station so be ready to move your rig to dump every few days, or bring your waste water tote. Hard to get satellite from most sites. We camped at Bald Ridge Creek COE in a Motorhome.

This is our favorite COE camp on Lake Lanier, Ga. we always have a good experience. Camp is clean and well kept. Sites are good-sized and all have table, fire ring, lantern hook. Most sites are very level. There are restaurants, shopping, grocery stores within easy driving distance. Park is conveniently located. Bathhouses, restrooms are clean. We camped at Bald Ridge Creek COE in a Tent Trailer.

Overall Rating:

I drive in from Toronto. I arrived late afternoon, tired and a bit apprehensive due to the size and height of my rig. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

The site was a drive through with enough length to accommodate both my Smart and toyhauler. . In order to unload Smart and bikes I did need to use the access road.

The driveway was almost level, and the gravel picnic area and well manicured lawn pristine.

There was only one washer dryer in our area, but the area was clean and the machines worked well.

The park itself is absolutely gorgeous, with mature trees and lakefront on three sides.

This is the nicest place we have been so far.

A note for motorcyclists; if you are looking to ride the Tail of the Dragon and back be ready for a long day. We camped at Bald Ridge Creek COE in a Motorhome.

Bald Ridge Creek Campground is a beautiful, well laid out, maintained campground. One of the prettiest parks I've ever been to and I have been to many parks all over the US. Every site has a beautiful view of the lake and lots of shade. Our site was long and level with utilities (50amp and water - no sewer) in good working order and well placed on the site. The pads were very generous with the trailer on concrete and an additional crushed granite area (45'x20') that had a recessed fire pit, bar-b-q pit, and an extra long picnic table. We enjoyed a quite weekend and would definitely come back to this park again and again if we lived in this area. We camped at Bald Ridge Creek COE in a Fifth Wheel.

We have stayed here at least twice a year for the last 10 years. Always before we were able to pay $5 for a DAYTIME visitor car pass. This time they will only give a pass to the camping vehicle and one other car. No exceptions. This meant our son who was camping with us had to drive several miles out of the park to pick up his wife for a few hours visit. I realize they are limiting the number of cars to cut down on party plans but there has to be a better family-friendly way. The camp hosts say they are only following the Rangers wishes. The Ranger rides through once a day. This is a very old park and much of the shade and privacy is being lost due to tree removal. Don't think we will return. We camped at Bald Ridge Creek COE in a Truck Camper.

Drive the few miles to a very nice park in Cumming. Sawnee Mtn Park has several hiking trails and an excellent visitor center.

Slopes barbeque in Cumming is excellent.

Overall Rating:

We arrived the first day of the season. The grounds are beautiful and each of the sites, with very few exceptions, are flat with paved pads, packed gravel for the table area plus charcoal grill and lantern post. Most are in view of Lake Lanier, if not directly on the lake. Great shady sites. There is a small swimming beach area in the middle of the campground area which is open to the public as well as the campers. When the site closes at 10:30 pm, campers are inside until the park reopens the next morning. This campground is quiet and personnel are very nice. When we were there, though, we had problems with the water at our site, which may have been due to non-use during the park's winter closure. There was mud and a silt-like debris in the water at our site. The central bathhouse also had problems with water. When toilets were flushed, water backed up from the floor drain between the toilet stalls, spewing water and dirt over the floor. Again, this may be due to winter non-use and the need for seasonal maintenance but it was a nasty surprise nonetheless. The negatives were not enough to keep us from returning in the future, though, since the campground really is a beautiful location with well maintained grounds. The rate reflects a Senior discount. We camped at Bald Ridge Creek COE in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

All sites here appeared to be back in. Ours was spacious, with a concrete pad for the rig, and a crushed gravel area for living. It came complete with a picnic table, hook for a lantern, and fire ring. We were lakefront, though it was a bit of a walk through the woods to the edge. There was a nice little beach area across the road. The sites are wooded with a lot of space between you and your neighbor. The lake is used by all sorts of motorized water vessels, and it was little loud at times. The bath house was very clean, and nice, if a little dark at night. The gate staff was nice. There is NO store or ice available on site. The access to the park was a little strange, taking you through a residential subdivision to get there. Signage was minimal, but the GPS found it just fine. They close the gates at 8 pm. We camped at Bald Ridge Creek COE in a Motorhome.

We have camped here three times now and have camped at two other corps of engineer campgrounds. They are all excellent. Bald Ridge has a large section of very wooded sites that are right next to the water. Sites are well spaced. CG is always quiet. We camped at Bald Ridge Creek COE in a Travel Trailer.

Outstanding CG, with huge level sites, many right on the water or with great views, and lots of space between them. Some sites have better view of water than others. Good roads for easy maneuvering. The shade was great, but not for satellite reception. Very nice staff and the CG is very well-run. I reluctantly entered this review as I thought I'd like to keep it a secret! Can't wait to come back. We camped at Bald Ridge Creek COE in a Motorhome.
