10 Parks near Elko, Georgia
Jul 2016 - $36.00
Site was level, long enough for RV and tow vehicle, and well spaced from other sites. Restrooms were clean, showers large. We were given a nice site next to restroom for our multi-night stay. Dog run was of sufficient size. - Ms Winnie
Jul 2016 - $34.00
Just an overnight for us, but it's always a pleasure to stay in a NICE campground. Gravel roads and sites, with concrete patio pads and grass separating the roomy sites. $34 on a credit card w/ GS discount. They met us as we drove in, I didn't even have to get out of the truck... followed the golf cart right to our spot, set up, and then went up to take care of the paperwork. The folks here are very friendly and keep the park very clean. There's a lounge with TV, coffee maker and a laundry facility, all spic & span. Saltwater pool and hot tub, too. It's close to I-75, so you can hear the low hum of traffic outside, but inside our camper was quiet. Highly recommended. - FreeWheeler
Jul 2016 - $20.00
This park was a over night stop for us on our way to Tn from Fl, and then stayed the night on the way back home. The park employees were so nice and easy check in. Pull through sites that are level that make you not even have to unhook for the night. Passport America rate is reflected, which they say to pay cash only which was fine.
Pool was nice and warm and other guest that was here was friendly. Some permanent sites are in the back row and corners, but the people were friendly and sites were clean.
I would highly recommend this park for a quick over night stay. Fuel at this exit is about 25 cents higher than two exits up.
We will continue to use this for our overnight stops as everyone was nice and you can not beat the price. Plus they said they do not fill up in the winter.
They have a dog fenced in area for your pet to run and all the grass areas had no pet residue left behind. Will return in November. - crosspointepaul
Jun 2016 - $12.00
We have stayed overnight at this park several times since it is a comfortable distance from our home base. Long grass pull thru FHU sites are generally well shaded. Interior roads are dirt and level of maintenance depends on the weather. Rate reflects $10 CtoC plus $2 for 50Amp. Overnight stays are pretty much "Find a vacant space and use it!" as far as the management is concerned, but it is convenient to the Interstate without being noisy. We will stay here again if it just happens to fit into our plans but wouldn't go out of the way to visit this town. - Alworth
May 2016 - $1.00
This is our normal stop when traveling through Southern Georgia. It is an older resort and the facilities show wear. The hookups are fine and you have an option on CATV. They have activities and most are regulars who have their homes in the resort. They even have one day where they go bowling. - A hitch and hop
Jan 2016 - $1.00
Is right next to a very loud freeway. No wifi. Have cable for an extra fee. Level grass sights. Pull-throughs. 50 amps are right next to freeway, 30 amps are farther away but it's still very loud. Only some sites have cable. Might be nice in summer when pecan trees are in bloom. Is not what I would consider a "destination location" camp but might be OK for an overnight stay, if one can sleep with lots of freeway noise. Doubt if we'd stay here again due to the noise. - DrM Traveler
Jun 2016 - $35.00
Nice campground convient to I-75 on/off and Perry. Road are paved and sites are gravel. Stayed in one of the large pull throughs in the front. They are not very level but Ok for overnight stay. Our site had a concrete pad for Picnic table and some grass. Many tall trees but was able to get satellite. WiFi is poor. Seam to have a lot of full time campers around the pond but their sites did not look junky. Would stay her again if in the area. - Tom Willing
Jun 2016 - $22.00
This is an excellent place to stay if you are traveling on I-75. Easy on and off access. Cracker Barrel and several fuel stops at this exit. Good water pressure, WiFi and cable TV. - rv time
May 2016 - $29.00
Stayed in a new site, H17, that was back by the horse stables. There was no picnic table there as they were in the process of putting them together for the new sites. Site was dirt mixed with rocks. If it had rained, it would have been fairly muddy there. Very nice dog park to let the dogs roam free. Nice big field behind the stables to walk the dogs too. Just off the interstate, but hardly heard any noise from it with all the trees there. Verizon phone was 4G with 2 to 3 bars. Verizon air card worked good. Huge laundry room with plenty of washer and dryers. WiFi was not very good. Wide selection of channels with the free cable service.
Would stay again in a different part of the park. - Paul_L63
Nov 2015 - $35.00
We stopped overnight.. The park is close to I75, close to Kroger fuel, restaurants and shopping.. The staff was friendly and there was plenty of room to maneuver our mh with toad into one of the many pull through sites.. Full hookup with cable and good cell service, AT&T.. Services worked good although I question the electric hookups, a lot didn't have covers and there were a lot of open holes for rain to be able to get into electric panels, they definitely need some work here.. Sites are close but level there are a lot of trees for shade and there are some permanent residents in the campground but it was quiet all night.. For an over niter this place is ok, we would stay here again.. - smoky40
Jan 2012 - $27.00
Very friendly, just an overnight stop. Electrical on site was poor, ground fault interrupter kept tripping. Can walk to Walmart or to eat, so no need to unhook. Nothing to excite you here; just a place to sleep. Some permanent residents, all friendly. Has a "pool," but have never seen it open. - nanapapi
Sep 2011 - $31.00
This was the last stop on my road trip home to Florida. Quick in and out from the interstate made this stop an easy choice. Nice people but if you don't like cats, don't go in the office. It wreaked of cat urine. Site was level and long though a bit narrow for my two slideouts. I had to be very careful when setting up. The water, sewer, and power were close to the back end of the pull-through so a bit of a stretch for all my cords. Nice grassy area for the puppies. There are several long term residences in this park that give it a very southern, hospitable atmosphere. Lots of stores, restaurants and a WalMart within walking distance so you don't have to unhook your rig! Big plus. - rvannie
Jun 2016 - $25.00
Great for overnight stay as it is easy on and off the highway. Walking distance to several restaurants. Quiet campground. - Sunshine Camper
Jun 2016 - $33.00
We spent one night here on our way home. It was convenient to the highway, and, as transients, we were given an easy (though narrow) pull-through site, close to the office and bathrooms. The hook-ups for water and 50 amp were fine and the cable TV and WiFi were excellent--the best on our trip! The bathroom is old, and though they try to keep it clean, every time someone walks in, they track in dirt and grass. This travel park suited our needs for one night; we'd definitely stay here again. - Lyn T
Apr 2016 - $22.00
Roads and sites are narrow. 50 amp is not at every site. Grounds are neat and clean. Parking of tow vehicle may be an issue if you have a 40 foot coach. Staff was friendly and helpful. Permanents in the park were friendly and respectful. Bathroom could use some work. Latches are doors were loose and so were shower heads, but everything seemed clean. Good park for a night or two while traveling. - truckerturtle
Aug 2015 - $36.00
Stopped overnight. Very easy access right next to Exit 142 on Interstate 75 just north of Perry, GA. Very friendly staff, provided follow-me golf cart to the site. Many sites are pull-through. Full hookups. - b2bowers
Feb 2009 - $28.00
This was a nice RV park old but very current , The owners were nice and close to town . Would go back . - crystal m.
Jan 2016 - $25.00
Older park. Hookups are not in a good location for ease of use. Roads are in VERY bad shape. Many large and deep holes. - MH-Tom
Sep 2015 - $25.00
Office was locked at 4 PM when we arrived. Note on door said "I'm on mower somewhere in park, come find me". FHU connections were side-by-side on some sites, others not. Sewer connections were at either extreme of sites, with some on starboard side of site. the back of the park was somewhat shabby.
I inquired of two residents of the park as to whereabouts of manager, both appeared intoxicated and rambling in speech. We did not stay because we did not find the manager, choosing to find another RV park.
I do not recommend Interstate RV park to anyone. - RayIN
May 2015 - $25.00
This is an older park located very close to I-75. We only needed an over-night spot so didn't stay long enough to meet any of the longer term residents or park employees. It was well kept and spaces were nicely portioned. Our only problem was the hookups were on the wrong side for our Class A but after parking "backward", they worked just fine so no complaints. It's not a "resort" campground but I didn't expect it to be for $25. They offer hospitality/honor system overnight parking which is exactly what we needed. - Bob-n-Beverly
May 2007 - $20.00
Very quiet. Not much in the way of shade. Good alternative to Ga Vet's State Park. From Hwy 280 & Entrance to Ga Vet's take Cannon Rd (opposite State Park entrance) for 6 miles. Turn Left onto Camper's Haven Rd for 1/2 mile. Campground on Right. Self check-in. There is a tiny store at the little campground 1/2 mile farther down the road. - Lornaschinske
Feb 2016 - $12.00
This campground was our 1st stop as full time 5ers. I only hope all our stays everywhere could be this good. The owners were excellent. I couldn't have ask for nicer and friendlier people. The campground was grass sites with limited 50 amp, but he's working at adding more 50 amp spots. If we're ever in that part of GA again, we will be at Hillside. I can't say enough about this campground. We were there a month and would go back. - Tincanman
Oct 2012 - $24.00
This is still a true campground great for families! Stayed with my husband and grandchildren. Easy to find. Entrance sign well-lit. Roads bumpy, some paved. Nice, relaxed owners focused on constant improvement. 90 wooded acres with large, spacious sites easy for big rigs to maneuver in and out of. There are over 3 miles of trails to walk or drive a golf cart. A beautiful new in-ground, saltwater pool; clubhouse w/kitchen to rent; bathhouse w/laundry facility; playgrounds; horseshoe pits; go-cart track; 30/50 amp sites, some FHU; easy access dump station; onsite propane; cute rental cabins; great tent sites; pavilions; great outdoor stage used for an occasional Christian/Gospel concert; pet friendly and free Wi-Fi which is great for browsing and email, but too slow for downloads/videos. They are starting activities such as potlucks and fun family weekends too. - destinationvibe
Feb 2011 - $24.00
Make sure you request a site near the office, especially if staying for a few days. There are limited w/e/s sites. Some permanent residents were playing very loud music until after midnight and the manager could net get them to turn it down. She didn't seem to care much as she was participating with them. We had to move during the stay because of the excessive noise on day two. There was one "newer" bathhouse, however it was not very clean. Space heaters on the floor in the bathrooms/shower were not comforting. Other bath houses were either locked or very run down. The roads were mostly in poor condition with lots of ruts. Empty cans and pieces of trash were in many sites. Owners came by after we moved and apologized and topped off a propane tank. They were friendly, but the park really needs cleaned up. - Aeroskies
