Overall Rating:

This is a large RV park conveniently located near I-75, but road noise was not a problem. Check in was easy with escort to our site. There is also a nice camp store in the office. Interior roads are narrow but paved and in good condition. The park is on a couple of gently rolling hills so the sites are terraced. Nearly all of the sites are FHU, pull-through, on gravel or dirt. Most are under tall, well-trimmed pine trees but one section is open. Bathrooms and laundry are dated but clean. WiFi is free for 30 minutes, then a $5 fee. There is a small dog park but enough green space for walking a large dog. The price is reasonable for the amenities provided and this park worked well for an overnight stop. We camped at Forsyth KOA in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is the Good, the Bad and the Ugly. The Good: interior roads were all recently repaved; park is easy access to and from the highway; a pizza place with a good selection of food options will deliver to your campsite if you don't want to cook/go out to eat. The Bad: the park is situated on a multilevel hilly area, making navigation with your rig a little tight in areas; sites are partially paved and/or gravel, semi level; there is no drainage system at all in the campground, so you can see the washout areas in the ground, some going right through the campsites. The Ugly: there are several longterm residents in the park, some in rigs in extreme disrepair, not very appealing to see while you traverse the park; the bathroom that we used is connected to the children's playground is very outdated, smelly, and the ladies bathroom door is so dilapidated it won't close properly, not so much dirty as in much need of repair. This place is adequate if you are just looking for a stopover. We camped at Forsyth KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Nice KOA, very clean grounds, roads are narrow, but paved. Staff was friendly. They have a pizza place in the office/store that delivers to your site which is nice. WiFi was non existent. We were in the newer section of pull thrus so maybe that had something to do with the reception; however if they don't fix it they should take it off their list of amenities. In the 30 free minutes they gave me I was able to open one page. Other than that great place to overnight. We camped at Forsyth KOA in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

A typical KOA. Clean, excellent staff, upper end of reasonable pricing. I would have rated it a 5 except for what I consider an unacceptable Internet experience. This KOA only provides 30 continuous minutes of slow internet before requiring you to pay an additional $5 for one day's service. I do not go camping to surf the web, I can do that at home but I do like to check email at the end of the day and before setting out the next day. They effectively have added another $5 to the cost of the site rate. Also, their Internet service is very dated. Slows considerably as more campers arrive and get online. I am encountering more and more high end Internet services in campgrounds that have the capacity and speed for streaming video. This is a result of parks making the investment in better infrastructure rather than limping along with outdated equipment to save money. I would have accepted the slow service had they not wanted me to pay for more than 30 continous minutes. There are other parks out there. I will patronize them next time. We camped at Forsyth KOA in a Motorhome.

We had planned on just an overnight stay but one of our dogs got sick so we had to stay two nights. They were great changing our reservations and helping us find an emergency vet. The campground was clean with newly paved roads. Campground was hilly and tight turns might be a problem for some, but we managed fine. Hot chocolate chip cookies were a plus. We camped at Forsyth KOA in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This KOA is right off the highway. Our campsite was shaded by pine trees and blanketed with pine needles. There are 3 sections to the campground with an older section (where we were) which was comfy and not crowded. A newer section seems set up for bigger rigs, is newer and doesn't have much shade. We camped at Forsyth KOA in a Motorhome.

Stayed here for an overnight while traveling. Roads were paved, although a little narrow for a 45-foot motorhome towing a Jeep. We stayed in the newer rally section. We had a torrential rain overnight, but the sites in our area held up pretty well. You get only 30 minutes of free Internet; after that it's $5 a day. I sprung for the extra $5, and the Internet speed was excellent. (I have a WiFi Ranger in the motorhome, so I can't say how well reception would be without one.) The park was fairly full in the other sections, but our area was only sparsely populated. We camped at Forsyth KOA in a Motorhome.

We stayed at this same park 2 years ago and at the time the roads were rough and it is tight through all the trees and hills. This year they finally paved the roads and the trees may have been trimmed some. Not quite as bad but still a hilly campground. Shower house in the rally area is old and in need of some rennovations. It was clean though. I do not recall if it was the same 2 years ago but the extra $2 per child for an overnight stay in which no amenities were used was a bit much. Also Wifi is an extra charge $5 per day. On our next trip through we may bypass this location and look for one that better fits our needs. We camped at Forsyth KOA in a Motorhome.

Park roads are narrow and had to watch that the toad did not hit trees on turns. Entry and exit were also tight for a large vehicle. Be sure to enter from the south on exit 186 and not 187 as the u-turn into the park is very hard. Ability to get a pizza delivered to the site, with cookies, was a bonus after driving all day. Management was very pleasant and good. Store was was stocked. We camped at Forsyth KOA in a Motorhome.

Impossible to enter CG office area from the service road coming from the north. Have to enter from the south, which means getting off of I-75 at the exit south of the CG and finding the service road to head north. Very nice and helpful staff. Overnight sites are down in a valley, gravel streets & narrow drives and short narrow gravel sites. We camped at Forsyth KOA in a Motorhome.

Horrible interior roads! Tight, with lots of potholes. When we were leaving, I had to get out of the coach to move someone's grill so we could make the turn. There was such a slope to the road that I was afraid we were going to tip over. Staff was extremely helpful when we woke up to a dead battery in our tow. But even with that, we will look for a different park next time we go through the area. We camped at Forsyth KOA in a Motorhome.

This KOA is mostly filled with old RVs which appear to be here full time. I saw one that was stuck together with duck tape. The roads are terrible. Full of holes which makes for a very rough ride. On the positive side the cable tv worked well. You only get 30 minutes a day of free wifi which is rather shocking for the price of the site. They give you good cookies upon arrival and you can purchase a small but decent large pizza for $10 if you arrive late and hungry. We would only stay here if the two state parks and the city park nearby are full. We camped at Forsyth KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
