Campsite was good with gravel and only required a few pads to level the RV. Good bathrooms and showers. Enjoyed hiking but the water/pond/river is overgrown with an invasive species so that basically it is "yucky"! They have been working on it for several years. - J and C

This is our favorite State Park. In our travels, we have found very few State Parks with 50 amp service and full hookups, and very few are Big Rig Friendly. This is a lovely park, pretty lake, big sites and all in all very nice. I do wish that they had more sites with sewers especially those with 50 amp. However, we have always been able to find one. Cable TV in a State Park? Awesome! We stay here every time we come to this area and never want to leave when it's time. - GranNan06

This campground is very nice. However, they boast an excellent seafood dinner on Friday Nights. My wife and two grandsons arrived about 10 minutes after opening which is 6pm. We were seated promptly and I noticed the seating areas only had about two other couples. The waitress brought us our drinks shortly after we sat. The food smelled great but when we got the buffet line we noticed the seafood was all deep fried and way over cooked. We ate what we could and the kids seemed to enjoy the shrimp and cheese grits. The salad bar was much better and the desert bar was pretty good also. Things went down hill fast as a group of golfers possibly 20 at least, arrived and with the staff only having to floor personnel made it even worse. We had asked for refills on our drinks (water) but apparently that fell on deaf ears because we were totally ignored. I got up and ask the waitress for a pitcher of water and just got this "UNFAVORABLE" look as she continued over to the golfers. I ended up going to the water fountains outside the restrooms to fill our water glasses. After nearly 30 minutes without anyone to coming over to check on us, we got up, paid a $45 bill, which in itself was ridiculous, and left to head back to our camp site.
The campground itself was very clean but the comfort stations are in dire need of renovation. We camped here in a Travel Trailer 3 nights. The campground was well maintained and clean. Adequate water pressure and no problems with electric surges. and quiet in the evenings. I do recommend this state park for a nice getaway - familygor1g

This is a Church Retreat in south central Georgia. Our stay was free as we were part of a volunteer group to do maintenance work preparing for summer youth camp. They are always looking for free help and allow you to stay in the 27 site full hook up RV park while helping. They also have cabins and dinning facilities. The best part is the 70 degree mineral spring and water park. You don't have to work everyday so you can do sightseeing while there. - A hitch and hop
