This large mountain campground is off the highway so it is quiet. Weekly rate is $215. The sites and roads are gravel and all sites appear to be pretty level. We camped in new section by the river (H3). 62 channels on the cable TV hookup and the park WiFi seems to be better than most. Office personnel very friendly. Be sure to follow website instructions for arrival. Plenty of nearby places to explore. Sites are large enough for the biggest RVs plus toads and there's adequate space between sites. There's a mix of shaded and open sites. We camped at Riverbend Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Riverbend is in the Georgia mountains so be prepared to drive on steep, curvy roads. We didn't see a sign at the turn onto Streak Hill Road, so be watching. Ingles Market in Hiawassee. Closest Walmart is 14 miles away.

This is a lovely park in a valley surrounded by the North Georgia Mountains. It can accommodate all types of RV's including large coaches. The only down side is that all sites are gravel. We had a pull through site that was new and with recent rains, the site was soft, Even with pads, our leveling jacks sunk in. However, that is the only negative. The Hiawassee River passes along side the park and is a lovely trout stream. The park has a couple of meeting facilities including one with a kitchen. We would come back and stay again. We camped at Riverbend Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We were there to attend the North Georgia Mountain Fall Festival. The North Georgia Mountain Fair Park is in Hiawassee. The town has a couple of large grocery stores and several good restaurants. There are also several nearby wineries open for tastings.

Very nice CG with beautiful views surrounding it. We stayed on the end in the new section (H13) backing up to the river with a huge field on one side and a mountain view out the front of the RV. Check in was friendly and easy, and the CG is very clean. FHU, back-in site was gravel and easily leveled. Cable TV had plenty of channels. There is WiFi, but the new section doesn't have the repeaters yet, so you have to go to the older section to use their WiFi. We had our own. Plenty of room to walk the dog along the river and in the field as well as thru the CG. Good Verizon cell coverage. We would definitely stay here again. This may have been our favorite campground ---- ever! Owner and staff were so friendly and helpful. Spots were level, gravel and great hookups. We were in a new section and the very end spot so the wifi wasn't too good but that was alright; didn't have to keep up with work email. Cable was great. This is definitely a family campground and people with children will surely love it. Seniors might be bothered by all their bikes and cheerful sounds but just ask for a spot away from play area. We can't wait for the chance to go back. We camped at Riverbend Campground in a Motorhome.

Probably one of the best campgrounds I've seen. Good spacing, long sites, good wifi, good cable, friendly staff, very quiet and beautifully landscaped. Well located to explore area. We camped at Riverbend Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Be sure to see Helen, Ga., Anna Ruby Falls and Brasstown Bald. Also use Streak Hill road from highway 17 or Kelly road from highway 76. Do not use the Garmin approach as these small roads aren't suited for RVs or trailers.

I would have given the park a 10 if their WiFi was decent. They appear to have plenty of repeaters so you can always get on their network, but their bandwidth is insufficient so internet access is SLOW, SLOW, SLOW or sometimes non-usable. You are given an access code for your device and each rig may request 3 codes.

The sites are very spacious, very long and nicely spaced between each other. Most are back-ins, but are correctly angled for easy access. Most sites have a pleasant view out the back, without another rig "in your face". Their brand new section contains just a few pull thru sites. They have a small indoor meeting room for groups to use and also a picnic pavilion.

We would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Riverbend Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The park is about 20 miles from Helen, GA although the road to get there is windy, hilly, with lots of switchbacks.

There's a very nice Ingles grocery store in town and Hiawassee Hardware "has everything" from housewares to hardware. The nearest Wal-Mart is in Blairsville, about 20 miles away.

This is our third visit here, and each time it gets better. This is a family operated business whose members put their heart and soul into this park. It's clean, very scenic and professionally run. Management goes out of the way to please campers who stay in everything from tents to large motor homes. There are many country roads leading to a large variety of attractions, restaurants and other venues. While staying here a mechanical issue developed with our motor home. The park's staff recommended a local business who made the repairs in a timely and inexpensive manner. I highly recommend this park. We camped at Riverbend Campground in a Motorhome.

Visit nearby Helen, GA with its Austrian theme with great shops and restaurants. The park is located about 20 miles from Helen, a quaint little town with lots to do.

Great family friendly park. Love the pool. Located on a beautiful river where the kids fished and caught some great fish. Nice shaded areas. Pet friendly. We stay in this campground a couple of times a year and would highly recommend it. Beautiful area. We camped at Riverbend Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Camping at RiverBend Camground is an experience you can not forget. Hidden in the shadows of the mountains on the Hiawassee River, the owners greet you as strangers but say goodbye to you as friends.

It is a child's paradise where children are safe to swim, tube and ride their bikes. A pool and playground are centrally located in the park. Laundry facilities are also located in the park.

Adults gather around campfires or in the rocking chairs on the office porch to share old and new memories/

The landscaping is beautiful, filled with flowers and trees that welcome each season.

The facilities are excellent and very well maintained by a staff that goes out of it's way to see that each camper receives personal attention to their needs. Cable and Wi-Fi available without charge. Fire rings are on every site.

We have camped at Riverbend several times and will continue to do so in the months ahead. We camped at Riverbend Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

The Kelly Road coming in was a little narrow for a 40 foot motorhome and also some low hanging limbs. UPS had pulled partially off the road to make a delivery and a truck was park on the opposite edge of Kelly Road so we just had to stop until the delivery was made. Sites are gravel and pretty level tho we did put blocks under our 2 right tires. Everyone gets shade either in the morning or afternoon. The park appears clean and well maintained. It is not far from NC or SC and is 15 miles from Helen, GA. There is fishing, rafting, golfing, horseback riding, antiquing, and of course eating available fairly close. We were here with our Good Sam group for a long weekend. The campground sponsors a fish fry on Thursday night--they furnish the fish and hush puppies, you bring everything else. We camped at Riverbend Campground in a Motorhome.

This is our favorite kind of park, family owned, large enough to have all the facilities and small enough for comfort. Our only negatives are that the sites are a little to close together, and the showers a little far from some sites. There are seasonal residents here, but no park models (hooray). Rate is for 7 days. Although there are only 2 washers & dryers, there was never anyone waiting. $2 wash & $1.50 dry. We found the park from Helen with GPS, but there is no sign on the highway. Close to Hiawassee which has lots of activity, and beautiful lake. We camped at Riverbend Campground in a Motorhome.

We really liked this campground. Seems to be well run. Nice people who are respectful of their neighbors. Seems to have quite a few 5th wheel trailers set in place as though they are there permanently. The grounds and gravel roads are very well maintained. The sites have good 50 amp service, great water pressure, sewer. Most all sites seemed level and are spaced well enough to give privacy. Weekly rate is buy 6 nights, get another night free. We would definitely stay here again as it is close to all the interesting and fun things to do in north Georgia including NC. We camped at Riverbend Campground in a Motorhome.

Had a wonderful stay at this CG. Owners andCG were very, very nice. Lots of motor coaches and 5th wheels, and a small community of full timers. We had a river front site that had quite a bit of food items left behind, on the site, in the fire pit and on the shore of the river. Let them know so they didn't think it was us and they said they would get it cleaned up, but we had done most of it before they got there. Bathrooms, pool and laundry were very nice, modern and clean. Wi-Fi worked perfectly we were on site C12. Only thing that I did not like was they originally told us there was a service truck that came by everyday to dump tanks as we didn't have a sewer site, but when we checked in they told us it was M-W-F, which was fine as we checked in Sunday. Monday morning, came and they came to service the tanks, but said they were only doing grey and didn't do black until Fridays (we were leaving Thurs). Our tanks are rather small so it caused us a little managing of the water but we made it work. All in all, it was a great place and we will go back again. We camped at Riverbend Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Our group of ten units spent a great week here. Great campground, very well kept. Gravel roads drain well in the rain. Covered areas for group meetings. Good location for seeing the surrounding area/attractions. 2 (HE) washers and dryers, could use more machines. Only negative is there is no sign on the main road. Make sure you follow the directions on the web site. Looking forward to returning to this campground. We camped at Riverbend Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Nice campground. Lots of seasonal units with no owners present for our stay. Sites are large and level. Great hookups with plenty of cable TV stations. Looks like satellite dishes would work in most sites. Sites and roads are fine gravel. Road leading to entrance had some low branches which hit the top of our unit, but once in the campground roads were wide and it was easy to handle our 40 ft coach with a trailer. Most sites are back in, but they did have 3 pull through spots that were VERY long, at least 100 feet in length. We didn't use the bathroom or shower facilities although I did walk in and it appeared to be clean. Trash can only be deposited in a dumpster at the office, which is a long walk from some camp sites. Also, the dumpster was overflowing with garbage when we were here. Verizon air card worked with somewhat weak signal strength. Verizon cell service was ok. No AT&T cell or data signal. Park had nice landscaping and was well kept. I had limited interaction with the staff, but the lady that checked us in was nice. Arriving after dark is no problem, campground is well lit and it was easy to find our spot. Some kind of flying bugs which were everywhere made sitting outside in the evening miserable. We camped at Riverbend Campground in a Motorhome.
