Park is okay, it’s really just a big cow pasture with RV spots packed in like a parking lot. We were immediately disappointed but once we got settled in and met some our very nice neighbors we thought it wasn’t so bad. Unfortunately however the park owner pulled up to the end of our camp site and started screaming at our nephew whom we had invited to visit for dinner. She was threatening to call the police on him and kicked him out of the park. We were so confused about the whole situation but very upset. It was so uncalled for our camping neighbors apologized on her behalf. We will NEVER go back to this campsite again. One angry psychotic psychopath ruined the already sort of crappy experience. Avoid this place if possible, too many other beautiful options near by to suffer her treatment . We camped at Riverbend Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Very nice campground. Extremely clean bathroom/bathhouse. Beautiful landscaping. Very quiet. Nice store for essentials. Nice host. Cable, plus full hook-ups. WiFi a little slow but free! Will definitely return. We camped at Riverbend Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This is the type of place we would truely return. All the sites are level and maintained. Plenty of room between each site and trees to shade everyone. Grass between the sites is cut and neat and each has a fire ring. Front desk is busy but always time for you. Bike trail along the stream that runs thru the park and dogs are welcome. Wifi works very well and the cable is good too. Convenient to downtown Hiawassee yet peaceful and quiet. Our back grassed area was big enough for 4 playing Bocci ball! We stayed 8 days and wish we had arranged for more. We camped at Riverbend Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Outstanding park. We visit here whenever we can get away into the spectacular Blue Ridge Mountains of No. Georgia. Sites are large, well developed and perfectly maintained. It's an exceptional value to camp here and so fun to enjoy the natural amenity of the Hiawassee River in a perfect mountain valley surrounded by dense green mountains. Our site - like many here- back right up to the Hiawassee river for tubing, kayaking and trout fishing. Park maintenance is superb. We camped at Riverbend Campground in a Motorhome.

Visiting the Georgia Mountain Fair here in July is a special treat. Nearby Brasstown Bald Mountain serves up awesome views of north GA and the Blue Ridge. Good food stores, fuel restaurants and marina services in Hiawassee about 2 miles away.

The best bathhouse we have ever encountered. Clean and spacious. Very modern. Doors on showers instead of flimsy curtains. Lockable dressing area. Very large showers. Only negative was there are just two bathhouses for the entire campground and each one has two showers and two toilets. Very flat campground, which was a great surprise in the mountains. Gravel roads are wide and extremely well maintained. Campsites are also gravel and flat. Most sites have E/W/S. Don't use GPS to get there as it will try to take you down a driveway as a shortcut. Follow directions on the campground's website. Be sure to take innertubes to use on the river. Very family friendly. Kids really enjoyed riding bikes, the pool and the river. Friendly and helpful staff was able to answer several inquiries. Some sites in the older section are very shady. The newer section is mostly sunny with young trees. We camped at Riverbend Campground in a Motorhome.

The owners were screaming and cursing all weekend at at least 7 different groups of peaceful campers. The campground was quiet and peaceful other than the owners. Their behavior and foul language was absolutely shocking. There are other campgrounds available. Pick one of those. We camped at Riverbend Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This is without a doubt one of the cleanest and best run campgrounds we have ever camped in. The grounds are immaculate and many of the sites literally back right up to the Hiawassee River. Utilities connections are in excellent condition. Cable is included with many channels - we couldn't receive any local channels OTA here. There are no signs on either Highway for the campground though! Recommend using Kelley Road off Hwy 76 as Streak Hill Road off Hwy 75 is doable (38 ft MH pulling F150) but is pretty narrow. Only knock I would say is the sites are bit close together but it's a minor one as the positives far outweigh that one negative. We camped at Riverbend Campground in a Motorhome.

Found Riverbend Campground online and we just got back today from a weekend stay. I LOVED this campground. The grounds are impeccably maintained. Very clean. The lots are really wide and very level. We had a lot along the river and just loved it. My husband fished a couple days but didn't catch anything. The bathrooms are meticulously clean. I loved the full hookup, wifi and lots of cable channels. Everything truly was top notch. My husband and I live about 90 minutes from Riverbend and we said we'll definitely be back as this may be one of our top spots going forward. I bet it's beautiful in the fall. We camped at Riverbend Campground in a Travel Trailer.

1st time RVER. Took a 7 hour trip from Mississippi to Riverbend on our 1st real RV trip. We said this would make us or break us. I'm proud to say we loved it, and Riverbend was part of helping us have a great time. Very quiet park and very scenic. We traveled in October and the area this park is in is perfect. Highly recommended and we will be back in the future. We camped at Riverbend Campground in a Travel Trailer.

The park was very clean and well kept. The sites were spacious, gravel and level. The staff were all very friendly and went out of their way to help in any way they could. There was a small creek adjacent to the park and a walking trail next to the creek. We camped at Riverbend Campground in a Motorhome.

We've stayed at this park a few times. We're slated to go back, this May. This campground is family owned. The owners are very sweet and very helpful. The lots are spacious and level. The campground is clean and well maintained. Location is close to the cute town of Helen and markets are very close by in Hiawassee. The camp store is very, very basic... but they do have hand-scooped ice cream cones that are a fun treat. Small playground and pool; both are well maintained. Laundry facilities and bath houses are also well maintained. Owner enforces the 5 mph speed limit which is a huge blessing for those of us with little ones. In the past we've camped here in a 32' travel trailer; we now have a 40' fifth wheel and am not concerned about fitting in. The road into the campground is a bit narrow, so take it slow. Also, our first trip I thought we had turned off onto the wrong road as it feels like you're driving down to grandma's house, rather than looking for a campground but don't worry, it's there around the bend. Campground has mostly back-in sites... there are 3 or 4 pull through sites that are very, very long. They would fit any sized rig. Definite gem. We camped at Riverbend Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This large mountain campground is off the highway so it is quiet. Weekly rate is $215. The sites and roads are gravel and all sites appear to be pretty level. We camped in new section by the river (H3). 62 channels on the cable TV hookup and the park WiFi seems to be better than most. Office personnel very friendly. Be sure to follow website instructions for arrival. Plenty of nearby places to explore. Sites are large enough for the biggest RVs plus toads and there's adequate space between sites. There's a mix of shaded and open sites. We camped at Riverbend Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Riverbend is in the Georgia mountains so be prepared to drive on steep, curvy roads. We didn't see a sign at the turn onto Streak Hill Road, so be watching. Ingles Market in Hiawassee. Closest Walmart is 14 miles away.

Very nice CG with beautiful views surrounding it. We stayed on the end in the new section (H13) backing up to the river with a huge field on one side and a mountain view out the front of the RV. Check in was friendly and easy, and the CG is very clean. FHU, back-in site was gravel and easily leveled. Cable TV had plenty of channels. There is WiFi, but the new section doesn't have the repeaters yet, so you have to go to the older section to use their WiFi. We had our own. Plenty of room to walk the dog along the river and in the field as well as thru the CG. Good Verizon cell coverage. We would definitely stay here again. This is a lovely park in a valley surrounded by the North Georgia Mountains. It can accommodate all types of RV's including large coaches. The only down side is that all sites are gravel. We had a pull through site that was new and with recent rains, the site was soft, Even with pads, our leveling jacks sunk in. However, that is the only negative. The Hiawassee River passes along side the park and is a lovely trout stream. The park has a couple of meeting facilities including one with a kitchen. We would come back and stay again. We were there to attend the North Georgia Mountain Fall Festival. The North Georgia Mountain Fair Park is in Hiawassee. The town has a couple of large grocery stores and several good restaurants. There are also several nearby wineries open for tastings.
