Well the place is quiet: except I kept hearing the dueling banjo music. The drive up to the place was bumpy rutted sand. We pulled up in front of mobile home that had seen better days. The guy who came out had a dazed look and T-shirt that was more holes than shirt and gave me vague directions back to the site, just go to site 25. That was our first problem there were only 15 sites. So we found a site that would work and checked under the trash can to find the water and electric. Water worked fine but the was an open ground on the 50 amp hook up and no breaker to turn it on and off. We checked 2 other sites and found the same thing. So we packed up and went down the road. However the Verizon MiFi worked fine. If they get the electrical fixed and bring it up to code this place might be just fine. But I think I'd keep hearing that banjo music. - pumper9x9

This one is special! Back to nature is what you get. A few miles off the interstate and off any other road you will experience how quiet a campground can be. The sites are dirt and fairly level, most are shaded by trees. Lots of space on the site and to the neighbors. We had electric and water hookup and used the dump station at the entrance. The way in and out is extremely bumpy, lots of deep potholes and one terrible negative speedbump, so you want to drive REALLY slowly. However, we made it without breaking any dishes and loved our stay here. The washrooms were very basic but appeared to be clean. Laundry was just fine, we didn't expect any for that cheap rate. We would love to find more campgrounds like this one for a stopover night. - TheSchweitzers

My husband an I stay at this great campground just to get away. I must say this campground never stops doing improvements. Every time we come back there's something new. Great fenced in dog park. Clean pool an playground that my grandkids love. We love taking a hike on the many trails. My husband loves their stocked fishing ponds. Although he hasn't had much luck, (lol) there are big fish in there. Grounds an landscaping are immaculate. Owners Butch and Alicia are always so friendly. Everyone there is friendly when we go. Plus you can't beat the price, $35 with military discount. If you like delicious burgers then Buffingtons downtown Milledgeville is a nice little cozy place to eat or get a drink. Just 4 miles from campground. Stay an you won't be disappointed. - Sherry Deyarmin

We are relative newcomers to rv'ing and of the handful of parks we've stayed at, this is our favorite so far. Had yet to back in to a site but there was plenty of room between sites so it was a lot easier than it could have been. The park management and work staff were extremely nice and very willing to help us with any problems or questions we had. Met a lot of great people here. The park was very clean and well maintained. We will definitely consider staying there again if ever in the Central Georgia area! - Gary_Barb O321

This was our 2nd stay at Scenic Mountain RV Park in our 31' motorhome. We enjoyed it so much the first time that we had our "Sunshine Rovers" RV club join us this year for the Milledgeville Deep Roots Festival. 12 Rigs were in our group. We stayed for 5 nights. The Campground Marketing Manager went out of her way to make sure that each of us had everything that we needed. We had use of the Club House and the kitchen, which made serving and eating our group dinner and breakfast a real treat!
The campsites are well spaced and have full hook-ups. The campground facilities are kept very clean and it is obvious that the staff takes pride in their work and in the park. There is a clean dog park equipped with agility type equipment for exercising your canine partners. The park is located only 3 miles south of Milledgeville, GA, which we found to be a very friendly community. The WiFi was flawless, which is NOT usually the case at many RV parks. We stayed for 5 nights. Cell phone service was excellent for all of the carriers that our group uses. We have already made our reservations for October 2018! I highly recommend this campground. - WinnebagoVista

This place was a mud pit. There is no concrete, and the sites are very close together.
The owner and "host" were nice enough, but the park was nothing like I expected based on their web site.
I wouldn't want to go back again, but the location is convenient for a stop over. - Sweetcornprincess

Small little park run on a shoestring, The owner is trying hard. Roads are gravel, dirt. Nice pond, okay area with BBQ. Laundry is honor system. Owner has gardens planted for the use of the guests. Easy in/out. - Landyachty

Rate reflects Passport America discount. Our site was on grass and fairly level. Several long-term residents that don't necessarily keep their sites tidy. Wouldn't want to be here when it is raining. No trees to prevent getting a satellite signal. Fair 4G Verizon signal. Just a stop-over for one night so it worked for us. Not worth the price if your paying the full rate. - StarlifterFE
