May 2017 - $27.00
Separate section for permanent RVs. They all seemed to be well kept. Our spot was level and a paved spot. No picnic table. There is a pool and bath house. There is a club house too. Many of the spots are not level. This is a nice place to stay for a night or 2. - esta34950
May 2016 - $30.00
No level sites. Old park not kept up. Sewer hookup was uphill. Sites were gravel and lots of tree roots. Office was closed and you left your payment in mailbox. Grass not cut nor was the park taken care of. Looked like someone just stuck it in the side of a hill. Would not recommend. - Retired1022
Oct 2015 - $30.00
Very few sites are anywhere near level. Some sites do not have water or sewer. We couldn't find anywhere to put our trash. There is no wifi, altho' the office said there was. Satellite TV is a challenge because of all the very tall pines. Highway noise was a steady hum, not too bad as it didn't change. We would not stay here again. - SusanRon

We stayed here because it's relatively close to the airport in Atlanta. If we ever need to do this again, we'll stay somewhere else. Single restroom and shower. 2 coin-op washer-dryer combos. Many long-term residents that prefer to walk through your very narrow site to other places in the park. Often. Like 10-12 times per day. Long-term resident trailers have things built onto the sides and some don't have wheels and tires and just sit on the brake drums in the dirt. For the location, this is a very noisy park. The residential area across the road is full of people who have no mufflers on their cars and are proud of it...as is the long-term resident without one on her golf cart that makes about 75 laps around the park each day. Staff and management very polite and accommodating. - HDWC

Nov 2017 - $32.00
The campground is quite nice, situated on the Towaliga River. There are 4 or 5 miles of trails as well as a historic site of an old hydro generating facility to explore. The waterfalls are very pretty. Our site was quiet and relaxing even though the campground was quite full. We had access to go down to the river right off of the site. The road into the campsites was quite steep, but still easily done in an RV. We definitely plan to go back. - Pyrroc
Aug 2017 - $30.00
This was a one night stop for us. It seemed a little lacking in signage. We went to the lake section first, a ranger told us we would have to go to the river section. You make a turn by the Dollar General and some more turns and find the camp host for a site. After finding the host, we got a site and all was well. A nice park, very pretty. Would be a place to go back to and explore. - Russell G
Jun 2017 - $35.00
If you're looking for something fairly near Atlanta but far enough away to be remote, this park is a great selection. The waterfall was beautiful and the sites are shaded and peaceful. The staff was very nice and helpful. This is 1 mile off HWY 75 and very easy to get to. Once inside the park, the hills are steep but still doable in a large rig. The pull thru 50 amp sites were easy to get into fairly well spaced. There's a couple of great but short hikes. Biking it not very feasible unless you want to bike up and down the hills. There's a nice lake here for kayaking and paddle boarding. Site accessibility (The hill into the park was a bit steep and signage for the D loop was non existent but the park was a very easy 1 mile off the hwy) - 4 Campground location (30 minutes to Macon, 45 min to Atlanta) - 5 Nearby amenities (Had to drive 30 minutes to get to anything. The local stores are not good) - 2 Site Privacy (Good spacing on the sites but not a lot of trees/foliage in between) - 3.5 Campground amenities (Average bathrooms, laundry, trash cans easily accessible) - 4 Dog friendly (Dogs allowed on all trails) - 5 Activities (cool hiking around the waterfall but not a lot of trails, kayak rentals, mini golf) - 5 Cost ($35/night for 50 amp/water but no sewer) - 3.5 Staff friendliness (Incredibly friendly staff. Camp hosts were always available and rangers also present) - 5 Connectivity (Good signal IF you have a booster. No ATT signal w/out booster) - 4 Total rating = 4.10. - Jessie1975

Nov 2017 - $30.00
All sites were fairly level, and plenty deep with some shorter ones. 20/30 amp electric, water, and cable. Cable was not very clear. Park roads are a bit narrow, but our 42' rig was not a problem. Only one washer/dryer per bath house with two bath houses, so we didn't use. We didn't take advantage of the lake on this trip. The staff was very friendly and helpful. One note on entering. There are two park entrances, if you come in the north entrance where the sign is, you will find no place to stop at the office to register. We ended up finding an open site, as reservations are not site specific in Georgia, and then going up to register. This is a very old state park with some wonderful stone buildings dating back to FDR "New Deal" era, and has tons of history behind it. We camped 5 days which went through Thanksgiving weekend. The park got busy a couple days prior to Thanksgiving. I was told that it's full most of the summer also. - Uncledon
Oct 2017 - $35.00
Nice state park with full hookup including cable TV. WIFI is only at the office. The $35 includes a daily entrance fee of $5. It's a lovely setting in rolling hills. You pick your site after you pull in, which means you'll probably get the best open site, but does require driving around the campground looking for the best open site (unless you've been there before). Some sites back up to a small lake, but you are set up very high away from the water. Our site was not pull-through, but was long enough that we did not have to unhook. We liked it here and would go back. - R&S
Oct 2017 - $25.00
This is a really nice park secluded in the forest of central Georgia. It is the oldest state park in the US but doesn't look it. The sites are well laid out and will accommodate most any size rig. They are level gravel with fire pits, lantern post, and picnic tables. You are in the woods of Georgia here so, don't expect satellite access but we did have a steady 2/5 bars Verizon service. No sewer hook ups but there is a gray water dump cans in the ground throughout the campground. The bath houses are older but kept clean. We found only one of two pay washing machine that worked. There are no dryers in the campground. A word of caution here; the roads are narrow in places and check in is at the Visitors Center. The park signs are not clear about this and if you pass the Visitors Center turning around is very difficult. We chose Indian Springs looking for a quiet relaxing stay for a few days and were not disappointed. - bamawig

Apr 2018 - $40.00
A typical KOA. Clean, excellent staff, upper end of reasonable pricing. I would have rated it a 5 except for what I consider an unacceptable Internet experience. This KOA only provides 30 continuous minutes of slow internet before requiring you to pay an additional $5 for one day's service. I do not go camping to surf the web, I can do that at home but I do like to check email at the end of the day and before setting out the next day. They effectively have added another $5 to the cost of the site rate. Also, their Internet service is very dated. Slows considerably as more campers arrive and get online. I am encountering more and more high end Internet services in campgrounds that have the capacity and speed for streaming video. This is a result of parks making the investment in better infrastructure rather than limping along with outdated equipment to save money. I would have accepted the slow service had they not wanted me to pay for more than 30 continous minutes. There are other parks out there. I will patronize them next time. - Gary Munson
Apr 2018 - $34.00
We had planned on just an overnight stay but one of our dogs got sick so we had to stay two nights. They were great changing our reservations and helping us find an emergency vet. The campground was clean with newly paved roads. Campground was hilly and tight turns might be a problem for some, but we managed fine. Hot chocolate chip cookies were a plus. - Peggy coffey
Mar 2018 - $36.00
Stayed here for an overnight while traveling. Roads were paved, although a little narrow for a 45-foot motorhome towing a Jeep. We stayed in the newer rally section. We had a torrential rain overnight, but the sites in our area held up pretty well. You get only 30 minutes of free Internet; after that it's $5 a day. I sprung for the extra $5, and the Internet speed was excellent. (I have a WiFi Ranger in the motorhome, so I can't say how well reception would be without one.) The park was fairly full in the other sections, but our area was only sparsely populated. - RLH

Jan 2018 - $36.00
This is a large park with easy access off of I-75 so there is some road noise. The roads into the park as well as inside the park are easy to navigate. They have around 150 sites as well as cabins. There is a pool and a fishing pond. Check in was fast and friendly. We were in Site A3, a gravel pull through that was plenty long enough for our 37-foot Class A, tow-dolly and parking the car. It was very narrow and no picnic table. WiFi was spotty and our Verizon signal was strong. We stayed January 10, 2017 and paid $36.00 a night with our Good Sam discount. - BarrettsHappyTrails
Nov 2017 - $36.00
We didn't like this park at all. It is so incredibly tight and uncomfortable. The topography of the park is a gradual uphill and therefore each site is a step up from each other and they chose to make that step up using concrete curbs. So, each site is about 10 to 12 feet wide and on each side of it is a concrete curb with a drop off as much at 2 feet. The grass yard beyond the curb is at a downhill slant not suitable for picnic table or chairs and even if the decline wasn't severe, the width is only about 3 feet. The sites are so short that our 40' 5th wheel filled it up and we had to park perpendicular to the RV with part of our dually fender in the road - as did everyone else. The roads are already very skinny, but with the trucks parked as they had to be it was very uncomfortable. We were really worried about getting out because of the curbs, trucks and the RV across from us. We made it okay only because when we were leaving 2 trucks were gone which left just enough room for my husband to go back and forth with the RV so he could swing wide....We will not be back. - jomark

Stayed for only one night as an intermediate stop. Sites are close together and gravel. Our site wasn't level. Had just enough room for our trailer and tow vehicle. - rlemke53

Mar 2018 - $27.00
This is a great overnight stay after driving all day and passing through the Peach state. This is a small campground a few miles off the interstate, very quiet and peaceful. We stayed in a fairly level grassy pull thru site with water, sewer & electric for $27 with a Good Sam discount. The shower house was top shelf with residential showers and toilets. Our site was narrow prohibiting us from fully extending our slide out. We had to fold in the mirrors on our truck so the motorhome beside us could open his door. We will stop here again when needing to stop for the night. - Ohio Camping Family
Oct 2017 - $25.00
This is great place for overnight. It is close to I-75. The park is quiet and clean. It is easy in and easy out. Our site was gravel, level, and long enough to keep our car hooked up behind our 43' MH. We would stay here again. - Tennis gal
Oct 2017 - $25.00
Grassy, level site with good water pressure and voltage. No WIFI but was able to get a satellite signal so that was good. We were just here for one night. We would stay here again if back in the area. Good value and they honor the Good Sam card. - zrxh14

We had issues getting started from previous park due to cold weather and the park owner waited for us until we arrived at 9 PM! Small park - mostly full time, but neat and clean. Site very level. Wifi excellent. Over air TV good. 2 1/2 miles fro I-75 but worth the drive for overnight! - Retired FL CSM

We stayed 2 nights in spot 32 which was a pull-through spot (more of a side of the road) the water was 10 feet from our door and had partial shade with 30 amp service. They do have some 50 amp service sites. The bath house is a little far from this site. They have no playground for the kids, but they do allow lake swimming. The park it self was very clean and well maintained. They have several sites that are right on the water, its also a great place for kayaks because they do not allow any boats over 25hp. The park is only open from March to September. - Corbin

Nice paved interior roads, gravel sites. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring. The staff is very nice and helpful. The gate is locked from 9 PM till 7 AM Sunday through Thursday and 10 PM till 7 AM Friday and Saturday. - packrat1941

Office staff pleasant. Park is in very bad condition. This should be a 1 night last resort stop. - Va70
Mar 2017 - $15.00
My rate is based on monthly rate of $400 that includes electrical and wifi. I stayed at Riverside Estates from December 2016 thru February 2017. This may not be an RV resort, but it is a good place to stay if in the Atlanta area. The Park offers full hook up's, and has both 30 and 50 amp service. WiFi was included with the site and, for the most part, I had good wifi service - as good as or better than other campground's wifi. Many of the people in the Park were long term and, except for a few, all rigs were in good condition. The sites were well maintained. The campground is an older campground in need of a makeover, and the current management is in the process of giving it a face lift. The sites are concrete and level with some cracking of the site pad due to age. The sites are not large, but are of average or larger than other places I have stayed. Most of the sites are in the open with a few trees scattered throughout. There are both back-in and pull thru sites with plenty of room for maneuvering thru the park. I selected B Section next to the Yellow River, which I was told was a flood plain before I decided on the site. During a heavy rain the river started to rise and the management team went to each camper and informed them they may have to relocate, gave them new sites to move to, and an emergency number to call if needed. I enjoyed my stay at Riverside Estate's everyone I came in contact with were friendly and a pleasure to interact with. I had great neighbors, some same your neighbors are the same no matter where you are... - Andy52
Sep 2015 - $15.00
We stayed here from Sept. to Dec. due to it being close to my husband's job. The other people in the park were also mostly long term. Most people were nice, but some were of questionable character. No one follows the rules for leashing their dogs, many just run freely through the park. If there is an issue it is not addressed in a timely manner. Almost none of the washers or dryers work in the laundromat. We were on lot C which flooded overnight on Christmas, which we were woke up at 6am to move by a resident not the maintenance or management. The Wi-Fi is sporadic at best. The only good points were management is very nice, and hook ups are consistent, although my daughter was having some skin issues that have now disappeared since we have left and are no longer showering with the water there. If I could give zero stars I would. Our nightly rate is an average as we paid monthly at $400. - A W
