The postives: friendly staff, shady sites, food available onsite, lots of potential. Negatives: narrow access lanes leading to our site. Parked cars and temporary tents/makeshift garages impacting lanes at rear of park where our site was located. Sites very narrow. Many sites only have 30 amp power. Cable TV lines running above ground in many places. Recycle bins overflowing. Picnic table dilapidated. This can't possibly meet KOA's corporate standards. We camped at Jacksonville North / St. Marys KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Try to get a site in front rows of park: A, B, C, as they are much nicer and have transient campers, not long term, run down camper units. However, mostly 30 amp sites.

First night out on our trip to the N.E. for the summer. This is the Saturday before Father's Day. CG is just west of I-95, Exit 1 in Ga. Lead to site C14. Site is very level and all utilities worked properly. We have a concrete patio with 4 chairs and a table and umbrella. Traffic noise from I-95 is loud but not disturbing. We have been in noisier RV parks. Bathrooms and showers are clean. They have a dinner menu that worked out for us at $12/plate. The provided cable T.V. was wanting for selection, but signal was ok. Provided WiFi service was typical of RV parks. ATT and Verizon service, both voice and data, are strong. Personnel here are great and very friendly. We are heading over to get our free morning waffles. The first road you drive on inside the park could use some improvement. Loved the rooster crowing in the morning. Very nice stay and we are ready to go! We camped at Jacksonville North / St. Marys KOA in a Travel Trailer.

This was our first stop on a forty day roadtrip. This campground is far above the average KOA. All sites are spacious pull-thrus. The office staff was friendly and courteous and the escort guided us to our site without incident. We had a 30A WE site that had sufficient length for our long truck and trailer. We had no issues with the electric and the water pressure was satisfactory. WiFi and cell phone service were satisfactory, as was the cable TV. The grounds were neatly kept with no trash lying around. We stayed here before I started collecting info for reviews, so some information is missing. We would definitely come back here for another visit. We camped at Jacksonville North / St. Marys KOA in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here for 4 nights to catch up on shopping before continuing on our way to Florida. The park is just a mile north of the Florida state line. All sites except the tent sites are pull-thru, and most have a picnic table and fire ring. The angled sites make them seem larger than they actually are, so you don't feel crowded in. The staff is very friendly, the guide to our site was helpful without being overbearing about guiding us in. The free pancake or waffle breakfast is a nice treat, and served every day. They have a cute little barrel "train" pulled by a golf cart, that they use to give smaller children rides throughout the park. The dog park is fairly large, and kept stocked with poop bags, as are a couple of other locations. The free WiFi is quite good considering how full the park was during our stay. Our site gave us a good satellite view, and the park cable system has a pretty extensive channel selection. Verizon cell service was quite good here. We will most certainly be returning here! We camped at Jacksonville North / St. Marys KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Kingsland and St Marys are within a few miles of the park, with a large variety of stores and restaurants, including a Walmart Super Center. The Ship2Shore Restaurant is particularly good if you like seafood. There are several fuel stops at the I-95 exit nearby, including a Pilot Travel Center.

We only stopped overnight, and arrived onsite around 2:00 in the morning. We got up around 8 and ate the free breakfast and continued on our way. When I called to reserve the day of, the owners were very nice avd very accommodating. We have stayed here two times on our travels through. Its very convenient to I-95 and a gas station is right at the corner. We camped at Jacksonville North / St. Marys KOA in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

This KOA is situated right off of I-95 at Exit 1 near the Georgia/Florida border and is convenient for north/southbound travelers. Noise at night from I-95 traffic was not an issue. Use "Entrance 1" when coming in off of Scrubby Bluff Road when entering the KOA property. Check-in was seamless and, Johnnie, the camp worker, was efficient and thorough. Nick guided us to our site and showed us where our hookups were. The campground offers some extremely tall pine trees, but they are not a hindrance when navigating/parking/setting up. All of the sites at the campground are pull-through with full hookups (30/50 Amp) or water and electric sites, as well as group/individual tent sites, and cabins. All sites, with the exception of tent sites have cable (offering 36-channels). Amenities offered are propane, dump station, store, basketball, playground, showers, laundry, horseshoes, fitness center, fire ring, media/game room, Wi-Fi, and swimming pool. For those that have dogs, there is a pet run as well. The majority of the sites are gravel, with a few offering concrete pads, however, the pads were in desperate need of being replaced. Roads throughout the park are gravel and RV sites are decent sized. The site that we had, C4, was level and was long enough to accommodate our RV and toad (as were all sites). The Wi-Fi in the park is decent, although it can be a bit slow when there are a lot of people in the park, but it is very good considering some Wi-Fi's in other parks. Complimentary Belgium waffles and/or pancakes, along with juice and coffee, are served to guests every morning from 8:00 am to 10:00 am. Donations are accepted as well. Pizza and BBQ can be delivered to your site between the hours of 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm. Garbage is picked up at the site for overnight guests between 8:00 am and 11:00 am. We stayed here for 2-nights in our Class A motorhome and would stay here again when passing through. We camped at Jacksonville North / St. Marys KOA in a Motorhome.

Spent two nights in order to tour Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge. Site was level and a mix of sand/gravel with a patio, table and chairs. Staff was friendly and helpful. The showers were dated and in need of upgrading, otherwise the facilities were satisfactory. Use the campground directions to the campground rather than GPS. We would camp here again. Tips for other Campers:

Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge is about 40 min away from the campground and is worth a visit. We took the 90 min tour with a local guide, who was friendly and informative about the history, wildlife and ecology of the swamp.

We were looking for a place to stay for 1 night and this KOA was on our way off of Rt. 95. We were traveling in a 45ft coach and towing a trailer. We had a long pull-through site with full hookups and 50 amps. Little did we know that we would be staying at a campground with 5 Star accomodations. Catered dinner and breakfast served in bed. Just kidding. But not far from it, either. We have never overnighted in a campground where they offer to prepare dinner and deliver it to the coach. We ordered the pulled pork dinner for 2. Total cost $20.00 and it were generous portions. We did not go hungry. In the morning, we walked over to the breakfast room where they offered pancakes or waffles with bluebberries, juice and coffee or tea. These were included in the nightly rate! This RV park is right off of Rt. 95 so there is some traffic noise with your windows open. But it is convenient, clean and the staff is very friendly. Definitely a park we would stay at again. We camped at Jacksonville North / St. Marys KOA in a Motorhome.

We only stayed overnight while traveling through the area. The staff was excellent. They have a dinner menu that would deliver to your RV. Cost for BBQ ribs dinner was $13.00 and were excellent! Breakfast in the morning was provided. We didn't use that service, but it was available. Large area for our fifth wheeler to pull into and didn't have to unhook. Would definitely stay here again for a longer period of time. We camped at Jacksonville North / St. Marys KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Very good experience. Very quiet, even though close to the interstate, there was very little road noise. Arrived just after 7 pm, office hours posted stated they closed at 7pm. There were still folks in the office and the door was open. Was pleasantly surprised to learn they would escort me to our site, and the escort stayed to assist with making sure my slide out would clear the trees. We left before breakfast was to be served, but plan to partake on our next trip, as we will definitely stay here again. We camped at Jacksonville North / St. Marys KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Stayed here as an overnight on the way to Disney. Nice, easy pull-through site that was level. Electric was good, we did not use any other hook-ups. Bath house was very clean. Some road noise, but not too much considering how close to the highway it actually is. Campground offers breakfast in the morning, and has a very friendly staff. We will stay here again and consider a longer stay to explore the area. We camped at Jacksonville North / St. Marys KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Our pull-thru site was spacious and easy to access with good utility access. The park is well maintained and the work campers are constantly picking up any litter, branches, pine cones, etc. The park WiFi is good, if not overly speedy, and the cable service is very good with about 33 channels. Verizon voice and data services are strong, but satellite service does require finding a hole through the many trees to get a good signal. The park offers a free pancake and waffle breakfast daily, and also has pizza and BBQ cooked onsite available for delivery to your site at reasonable prices. There is some road noise from nearby I-95, but we don't find it overly intrusive. We will be stopping here again for a few days break in our travels. We camped at Jacksonville North / St. Marys KOA in a Motorhome.

This is a well kept park with a lot of tall pine trees throughout the park. There are a number of seasonal campers but they are clean and quiet. The park has easy access to 95 but that also means you hear the traffic noise, it isn't too bad, but is certainly noticeable with the windows open. This makes it an all right stopover for a night or so, but not for too long. They provide a free waffles or pancake breakfast daily and it was very good. A number of the pull through sites are too short to leave the car attached if you also want to hook up to the sewer unless you have an extra long hose. I observed this with 3 other motor homes during our stay. If I had left my car attached, it would have been 3 feet from the neighbors front door. Some of the campground lights are too bright at night, we had one that was just outside our bedroom window which meant we could either close the blind and get no air in the window or feel like it was still daylight out with the shade up. The amenities are typical for a KOA campground. WiFi was decent. We camped at Jacksonville North / St. Marys KOA in a Motorhome.

Great park! Even though it is right off the interstate, noise is barely noticeable. Sites are big, lots of trees, good electric, water ,and cable. Breakfast of waffles or pancakes everyday but it's bring your own bacon/sausage! Coffee and juice are provided. There appears to be many permanents but they are all in the back and you don't notice them. We would and will stay here again. We camped at Jacksonville North / St. Marys KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
