Campground was very nice. The loop and some of thes sites are a little tight for big rigs. Bathrooms were very clean. Amenities included canoe and paddle boat rental along with several hiking trails. Had a great time enjoying the shoals below the covered bridge. AT&T Cell coverage was weak but available. No WiFi. Most sites are pull through. - FreedomExp
Jul 2012 - $28.00
A nice Georgia state park, with lots of hiking and biking trails available. The campground is nice and small, rather tight for a big rig. Many sites are "pull-throughs" but of the short half-moon type, so for a long trailer they are in fact back-ins. Surprisingly for a Georgia state park, the restrooms were not all that clean. Perhaps the absence of a host during our stay explains that. - wolf59a
Jun 2012 - $33.00
Traveling on a late Saturday afternoon, many parks were full, but WMB had plenty of vacancies. Many of the gravel sites are pull through, spacious, and shaded. Camping fee ($28) plus $5 GA park pass = $33. Our Class B was able to drive through the covered bridge. This is a nice place for an overnight stop. Average bathhouses: but clean. There are a few trails, one goes to the ruins of the mill. Some of the locals swimming in the river. There were some canoes that probably the SP rents. - On the Road again 11

I take the kids to ride ATV's here. If possible: do not use the bathhouse. They are never clean. Its not a place to go unless your going to be riding off road. Would I stay here again? Yes but it's because of the riding, and that's all. - DS650
Oct 2012 - $25.00
This is a great place for off road riding, ATV, Motorcycle, 4X4 or any other type of off road vehicle. 6800 acres to play with, mudd, tracks trails family friendly fun. You ride right from your camp site or cabin to the trails and tracks. The big down fall is the bathrooms where filthy and not clean when we arrived and not cleaned all weekend at all!!! If you go forget the showers or bathrooms they are a 2 of a 10, this is the reason for the overall 6 rating. - DS650
Sep 2010 - $25.00
This campground is for those who like to get dirty! It is truly a sportsman's resort with ATV riding, dirt bike riding, hunting, jeep 4x4 trails, fishing, shooting range, skeet shooting, and soon Horseback riding. They have riding trails, and MX tracks. Rentals are available, and they have a great pro shop and service department. Great for families, guy weekends, girl weekends. Check out the website for your information. We had a great time, and will most definitely be back for more fun in the dirt! - noriwitt

First I concur with everything side by the 12/13 reviewer. This is my second stay. I was able to pull my 40' (12.5' high) trailer through the road no problem. I would have been able to get into most of the spots. They are all long enough but the road is a little narrow and on the outside of a curve getting to one on left would have been difficult. Shower/bathroom are well taken care of. I parked by the pole in the field as I did before so I could see the satellites as the others are nicely tucked under the trees. Nice quiet place to stay while visiting my wife's friends and family. - Walter Cullop
Dec 2013 - $18.00
This is our third stay here at Callaway. The camping area continues to improve. The older sites are now being renovated to provide updated hookups. The access road has firmed up very well and does not present near the challenge as it once did. If you are looking for a resort atmosphere, with wifi and a pool, this isn't the place for you. However, if it is peace and quiet with an abundance of the outdoors and nature, you won't be disappointed. This will continue to be a stop for our family in the future. - davidjsimons
May 2013 - $18.00
We camped here in a 40 foot RV but the access road doesn't really handle big rigs. There is one spot for a large RV: no sewer, no shade, but a power pole and water. You have to drive up a large grass hill to get there, and I would not try it if it had rained recently. It had been very dry, so my husband said no problem. We scraped the front spoiler just a bit. This is a lovely spot, but just not big rig friendly. Their actual campground is strange. They have a number of permanent people living here, so the people coming in would have to go down a fairly steep hill to camp. I would not try this in anything larger than a 25 foot. It has power, water and sewer, but the access road looks difficult. - RV4fun15

Mar 2018 - $45.00
This is a great little campground tucked in the woods just outside of Athens. The new owners (since Sept 2016) are noticeably continuing to invest in the facility which opened in 1986. This does not look like a 32-year old campground The staff couldn't have been nicer making extra effort to accommodate our date and motorhome size. While they are currently limited in the number of sites that can handle big rigs, they are developing 20 new sites that they said would be 40x100 feet and easily fit any size RV. Our site was level & clean and we really enjoyed the view of their lakes which have waterfalls and paths around them. The restrooms were spotless and the office area, while being quaint, is very up to date. We would definitely stay here again! - McGarrert50

Sep 2017 - $1.00
We were invited to stay through Travel Resorts of America, so it did not cost us anything. We stayed at site 264 and found the site not level and much too close to other sites. Getting into the site was tight for our 35 footer. I watched a few others bigger than ours and they seemed to have a few problems getting in. It seems like they only want to fill the sites and they really don't care about how close you are to others so your privacy is not that good. There was no fire pit at most of the sites, the miniature golf course is really terrible. There is only one location to get rid of your garbage. This is one place that we would not recommend to anybody and we will not ever go back there again - bouffy
May 2017 - $1.00
This is a Travel Resorts of America member park now converting from a KOA. We stayed under Coast to Coast even though we are TRA members so it didn't cost us. The C2C sites were rather narrow and not level. There are some nice lakeside sites but you have to be a TRA member and it has to be a home park to get the nice sites. - Dkkirkland
Apr 2017 - $1.00
We came to this park via a free offer from Travel Resorts of America. We stayed at site 43. Pull-thru and full hookup. A little tight but manageable. Nice deck area looking out to lake. Deck needs a little care but still ok. Very clean and peaceful. TRA just aquired the property not too long ago. It was previously a KOA. They are working on continued repairs and enhancements. Took a tour and was impressed with benefits and price to become a member. If you would like to check out park first if you take the tour you can get 4 days 3 nights free. Only other thing is no cable and very limited tv channels from antenna. Other than that it is a nice place. Good fishing and boat ramp and docks. 2 pools and daily activities available for all ages. Once they get everything done this will be a great resort. Pet friendly too. - Pahu3

Aug 2017 - $25.00
The park is very well maintained, the camp host and rangers were friendly and helpful. The little pond has a swing and a couple of benches around it with a few shady spots. We will stay at this park again. - thejones357
Mar 2016 - $22.00
Excellent park. We had no reservation but there were many available sites in March. Very spacious partially shaded, level sites. Lots of walking trails. There is also a lake on the property but we didn't get to see it. Lots of room to walk your dog. Each site had a BBQ grill. Easy check in. The only negative is that you must purchase a parking pass in addition to the camping cost which seems unfair. - lstaff
