We were in site 40. It has a large, level concrete pad to park on. It was long enough for all 6 tires of our 38' motorhome to be on the pad. It is also wide enough to serve as a patio. There is a picnic table, a grill, and a fire ring. It is a pull-thru site. Utilities are all logically placed, including a sewer; however, the water hookup is below ground and the cable service was shut off throughout the park the night we were there. Management said they were "having an issue with the cable company". You may want to double-check if TV is important to you. As stated, there is no wifi, and we had only 1-2 bars of Verizon service at this site. But all this, plus a water view, for $25 a night! We've paid much more for much less! We camped at Lake Tobesofkee Claystone Park in a Motorhome.

Beautiful park next to a lake. The campground is amongst rolling hills so not all the pads are level. We are in a 40' class A and on space 1, had to drive front tires up on 3" of blocking to level front to back. I will list lots that are mostly level. If you are in a fifth wheel or bumper pull you should be okay from a level stand point. There is a nice swimming beach, playground, frisbee golf and fishing. The park is quiet except at 6 pm there is a small amount of traffic on the road outside the park. The rest of the time it is very quiet. We camped at Lake Tobesofkee Claystone Park in a Motorhome.

We had a "lake front" level full-hook-up cement pad site with sewer but the site was not set up properly. They did warn us before we took it (sewer & water on one side. Cable and electric on the other). The other sites did not have this issue. There are not really any "lake front" sites, but we could see the lake, which was beautiful. The water hook-up was below ground and full of water when we hooked up, so I sanitized our hose. Very hard hook-up if you are physically challenged. The bathrooms were acceptable, but needed that closer attention (lots of spider webs & stalls without latches). The staff was friendly. They mowed and weed-wacked very close to our equipment, which was concerning. They stopped when we mentioned our concern. Many sites are not very level. Just a few miles off I475 It was reasonably priced and we would stay again. We camped at Lake Tobesofkee Claystone Park in a Travel Trailer.

Not only are the views of the lake absolutely beautiful the service was also great. We seem to always arrive after hours and it's never been a problem. We call while we are on the road and let them know it will be a late arrival and they simply ask us to register the next morning. I have never showered in the restrooms but the restrooms have always been clean. This RV Park was a favorite of my parents when they used to travel through Georgia now it is a favorite of ours ! I like the park. It has great views of the lake, and a nice variety of spots. But, it is not being taken care of. I saw cleaning crews in the bathrooms but they did not sweep, mop, or clear cobwebs. The sites had trash in them. It has such great potential but whoever is responsible for insuring that the worker are doing their jobs, is not doing their job. Gem of a campgroud with easy access to interstate. Flat concrete sites with nice picnic table and fire ring. There are five sites which are big rig friendly with lovely views of the lake. It's a very peaceful and scenic campground.

Our only complaint is the indifferent reservation staff member was not aware if sites where satellite friendly (they are) or seem to care. There is also a $4 fee per kayak irregardless if you are going to launch them. We camped at Lake Tobesofkee Claystone Park in a Motorhome.

Lake Tobesofkee was a disappointment for us this time. We made reservations at least 30 days prior to our arrival and were told we had a pull-through site. An hour before we were to arrive while on the road, their office called us to tell us that due to electrical problems we would have to do a back-in site. Our promised site was level, this one was not and it lacked a sewer hook up. In talking with the workers who are fixing the electrical problem they said they knew of the problem 6 months before we arrived. My complaint is why didn't the office personnel tell us of this situation when we made our reservation. Maybe they were afraid of losing revenue. For those stalwart campers who will still come to Tobesofkee, many of their sites are torn up and their men's restrooms/showers were less than inviting/closed leaving only the woman's side. Their picnic tables had what appeared to have black mold growing on the table top and while they offer cable TV we had to guess each channel's network since we were offered no listing handout. If I had a camping crystal ball I'm not sure that I now see Tobesofkee in our future. We camped at Lake Tobesofkee Claystone Park in a Motorhome.

Like many others we have had reservation problems with this park. We called exactly three months to the day before our desired stay and were told we couldn't have a week at any of the pull-throughs, but they could only give us four days as the weekend was already reserved which shouldn't have been reserve able by itself since it was longer than the three months away. It seems they play favorites with their friends? We had a FHU pull-through which was very nice with a lake view and enjoyed it very much. All utilities were fine and the grounds crew kept up the mowing as needed. The sites are large and you can't beat it for the price. We had good Verizon coverage and a clear shot to the DTV satellite. If they would improve their reservation process, it would be unbeatable for this area. We camped at Lake Tobesofkee Claystone Park in a Motorhome.

First time going to this park. Been at Arrowhead Campground several times. We just purchased a new 5th wheel and this was the shake down trip with it. This park is about 40 miles from home and a good get away area. We arrived after dark and check in just took a couple of minutes and the person was very nice. We found our site very easily. The pad was level and was a full hook up site with 30 and 50 amp. service. The lot was on a slight grade for about 40' then dropped down to the lake where there are benches to sit on. The campground only had about 5 other units there and was very quiet. The view was nice and we saw a Bald Eagle flying from tree to tree for about an hour. We use an electric fence for our dogs and they had a blast on the lot and when we took them for walks. There is also a disk golf course there and we will have to try it some time. There is a boat ramp here and you can pull your boat up to shore by the campground. We camped at Lake Tobesofkee Claystone Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This was our 4th stay here while traveling and we had reserved #45 which is the nicest pull-thru. Upon arrival we were told they had made an error and given away our site! "I was hoping you wouldn't show up so I wouldn't have to deal with this situation!" was what the lady at the entrance to the park stated! Oh well, we took a back-in ($3.00 cheaper) and made a mental note to contact them the night before to confirm arrival. Very nice place to stay overnight - reasonable and scenic. Nice seafood restaurant about 1/2 mile away. We camped at Lake Tobesofkee Claystone Park in a Motorhome.

Wonderful park...on the lake...just beautiful. A few pull thru sites w/full hookups. A really natural location in the middle of an urban area. Just about a mile off I-75. No traffic noise. Near Macon. Wish it was closer to Atlanta. We'll be back! We camped at Lake Tobesofkee Claystone Park in a Motorhome.

We camped overnight and would come back. It was a pleasant park. We had a view of the lake. Saw wild turkeys in the morning by our camper. Our site 40 wasn't quite level. We liked the cement pads on the sites. We camped at Lake Tobesofkee Claystone Park in a Fifth Wheel.

I certainly cannot rate this campsite as highly as others have. SOME of the sites have sewer connection, but most don't. Be sure to ask if this is a requirement. We stayed in site 27. It was on a slight downhill slant and was relatively small. Not much room to put outdoor chairs. We could not open the awning because a tree was in the way. The showers were clean but the shower was not a spray. It was a straight stream of water sort of like a garden hose. On the plus side the lake is visually very pleasant and the sandy beach was very nice. We camped at Lake Tobesofkee Claystone Park in a Motorhome.

Lake Tobesofkee, Claystone Campground was a very pleasant one night stop over enroute to our home. We were give a spacious FHU pull thru site (#45) that gave us an unobstructed view of the lake. By nightfall, most all of the sites were full so this is obviously a popular place. In the morning we were greeted with geese and wild turkey around our site. There is a nice but challenging Frisbee golf course beside some of the campground. Our Verizon cell worked well and shopping or eateries are within 4 miles of the front gate. If you are not self contained, the restrooms showers are not conveniently located. This was not a problem as we are fully self-contained. We will visit this campground in the future. We camped at Lake Tobesofkee Claystone Park in a Motorhome.

We camped here to attend Mercer University's Homecoming events. We had reserved site 23 but because the campground was not fully booked we changed to site 44. Even though site 44 is close to the lake, it should be avoided if possible because the sewer and water source are on the opposite sides of the lot from the electric and TV cable outlets. It's a pull-through site, but the amenities are a hassle to use because they are not located on the same side. Eventually we pulled our RV so the sewer line will be on the right side to our camper's sewer tank and the electric source on the wrong side. Also, our view to the lake was obstructed when site 45 was occupied. The bathrooms and toilet are clean and well maintained. One of the mornings, inmates from the jail house were cleaning the restrooms. It was a bit odd since we didn't except that. Obviously, they use them to maintain the facilities. The cable TV didn't work for us, but we weren't around the campground much of the time to need it or seek for help. Tmobile's 4G or 3G didn't work in spite of the fact that several subdivisions are located around the lake and campground. We will definitely use the campground again next year when we visit Macon for Mercer's University activities. We camped at Lake Tobesofkee Claystone Park in a Travel Trailer.
