Campsite was good with gravel and only required a few pads to level the RV. Good bathrooms and showers. Enjoyed hiking but the water/pond/river is overgrown with an invasive species so that basically it is "yucky"! They have been working on it for several years. We camped at Little Ocmulgee State Park in a Motorhome.

This is our favorite State Park. In our travels, we have found very few State Parks with 50 amp service and full hookups, and very few are Big Rig Friendly. This is a lovely park, pretty lake, big sites and all in all very nice. I do wish that they had more sites with sewers especially those with 50 amp. However, we have always been able to find one. Cable TV in a State Park? Awesome! We stay here every time we come to this area and never want to leave when it's time. We camped at Little Ocmulgee State Park in a Motorhome.

This campground is very nice. However, they boast an excellent seafood dinner on Friday Nights. My wife and two grandsons arrived about 10 minutes after opening which is 6pm. We were seated promptly and I noticed the seating areas only had about two other couples. The waitress brought us our drinks shortly after we sat. The food smelled great but when we got the buffet line we noticed the seafood was all deep fried and way over cooked. We ate what we could and the kids seemed to enjoy the shrimp and cheese grits. The salad bar was much better and the desert bar was pretty good also. Things went down hill fast as a group of golfers possibly 20 at least, arrived and with the staff only having to floor personnel made it even worse. We had asked for refills on our drinks (water) but apparently that fell on deaf ears because we were totally ignored. I got up and ask the waitress for a pitcher of water and just got this "UNFAVORABLE" look as she continued over to the golfers. I ended up going to the water fountains outside the restrooms to fill our water glasses. After nearly 30 minutes without anyone to coming over to check on us, we got up, paid a $45 bill, which in itself was ridiculous, and left to head back to our camp site.

The campground itself was very clean but the comfort stations are in dire need of renovation. We camped here in a Travel Trailer 3 nights. The campground was well maintained and clean. Adequate water pressure and no problems with electric surges. and quiet in the evenings. I do recommend this state park for a nice getaway We camped at Little Ocmulgee State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Camp Host's need to enforce the 5mph speed limit. Lots of children playing, riding bikes and electric motor cycles. Be a good camper and turn the breakers off before you leave your site. Some of the breakers are old and need replacing so be careful energizing your power.

This is a BEAUTIFUL State Park and one of the few we have found with electric and sewer service. The strange thing is that most of the 50 amp sites, which are few, don't have sewers. The 30 amp site do though. The sites are large, most of them pretty shaded. Nice lake, great golf course, playgrounds, and nice open spaces. We have stayed here before and have come back...the cons are: little to no TV signal, phone (Verizon) is low signal so that even my Hot Spot works only part of the day. and no WiFi.

Other than that it is one of my favorite spots. We camped at Little Ocmulgee State Park in a Motorhome.

Not much to do in this area. Nearest bigger town is about 30 miles.

the restaurant in the lodge is pretty good, but a bit overpriced.

This state Park is so pretty! The sites are spacious and fairly level. There are few "full hook ups" with 50 amp, but we were able to function nicely with 30. If you like to golf, it has a beautiful course. The Lake is lovely and it has a very nice restaurant on the premises. We stayed a week and didn't want to leave.
The site was gravel, but had a concrete pad under the picnic table and a nice fire ring. Our site had nice shade.
The WIFI is only available in a few places, but they even have cable TV! We camped at Little Ocmulgee State Park in a Motorhome.

We really enjoyed staying in this state park. It was very clean and quiet. All of the camp hosts that we saw waved or asked if everything was good. Security rode around the park several times day and night. They have some sites with full hookups in the back part of the campground, but they were not very level so we chose a water & electric site that was perfect for us. The lodge is very nice and the workers are very nice, my husband played golf and he really liked the golf course. The only thing that we didn't like is that you have to go to the lodge to buy firewood, none of the camp hosts sell it, so if you don't have a tow or a golf cart you better buy it when you check in at the lodge. We camped at Little Ocmulgee State Park in a Motorhome.

We passed 1 convenience store and a vegetable stand on the way in, so make sure you have what you need. Camp store in lodge has 1 small rack for campers.

We love this state park. We've been coming here for about 10 years. It has a lovely affordable golf course within walking distance to the campground. The staff are friendly and helpful. This is one of a few Georgia state parks with several full hookups. We camped at Little Ocmulgee State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice level sites! There are some full hook up sites. The staff at check-in were helpful! We stayed beside the campground host. He was very nice. Most sites are shady. There is a nice area down by the water, playground, metal dock. In the summer there is a splash pad. There is a putt putt course, but I think it was closed for the season. Good park with a lake that was built by the CCC in the 1830s. Another thank you to FDR and the CCC for their development of the US.

There are a few full hookup campsites. Most of these were filled with camp hosts and workers in the park. Not a complaint. The park is well maintained, has multiple hiking trails, canoe rentals, etc.

Can accommodate any size rig. We have a 40 foot fiver with truck attached 59 feet total. We did not need to separate the truck and trailer with plenty of space for an additional car. Will stay again when in the area. We camped at Little Ocmulgee State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

We stayed in February when the weather was particularly nice. The campground was mostly unpopulated, which we really appreciated. There is a lake with a beach and a miniature golf set up. The state park offers several pavilions for larger gatherings. There is also a lodge with a restaurant. There is a golf course on the extensive grounds. I'm not sure about restaurant's hours of operation during busier seasons. I do know it was closed on Sunday night in February. The campground is adequate. The bathhouse was clean. Some sites have sewer hook up. Most don't. We biked the mile and half into town for groceries. The trail in the park is quite sandy for off-road biking. So we walked. We are two retirees, and we felt as though two days here was enough to satisfy. There didn't seem to be any attraction in the surrounding area. Golfers and folks with children would probably enjoy the amenities during warm weather. We camped at Little Ocmulgee State Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This park is clean, shaded pretty well, sites mostly level, clean new bathrooms, quiet though somewhat close together. We paid $24 for senior rate (reg. rate is $30) PLUS $5.00 parking, so that is $29. ALL sites pay parking. The cable did not work and we were told we could move, however it was early evening, after a 300 mile drive, all set up getting dinner started and leaving early the next morning, that was not an option. We would have enjoyed seeing the news and relaxing with favorite shows. Also, with no sewer we thought it was a bit pricy. They did come out to fix it but were unable to. They basically said too bad. No refund or credit. As we travel a great deal, this was an unusual situation for us. We rarely have a problem. We are pretty easily satisfied. Not this time. We camped at Little Ocmulgee State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Wide, gravel covered, back in sites with good privacy. Very new and clean bathroom and showers. Wi-fi good at lodge and 60+ cable channels available. Good lunch buffet at lodge, but dinner menu is mediocre. Golf course has good layout, but somehow they have lost the greens. We camped at Little Ocmulgee State Park in a Travel Trailer.

The campground was really nice very clean and for the most part the staff was friendly. For the most part all the sites were pretty level and very spacious. Had real nice play grounds for the kids to play on. There was also a splash pad for the kids to get wet ($3 charge). They have a beach area for the lake but the lake had lots of lily pads that had grown up in that area. The Park was really nice and we will definitely be going back. Paid $28 less 20% senior discount for a 40' site. As reviewed in Dec '08 and by others, most sites have some grade to them. There are quite a few back-in sites that are nice and level for MH's. One thing I did not care for was having to go to the lodge to check-in. There is no RV parking there and if it was busy it could become a problem. Being April we were able to play the golf course which is a nice layout. No discounts for being in the CG though. Verizon cell and broadband both very good. We camped at Little Ocmulgee State Park in a Motorhome.
