This was really one of my favorite parks to stay. The grounds are beautiful, and very well maintained. They have a pool, playground and some of the normal amenities you'd expect in an RV park, but they have some that are a bit unique as well. There are a number of marked trails that meander through the woods on the property. They are not too strenuous, but offer a nice way to relax of enjoy a workout in the woods! They also have a dog park with an agility course! It's a very pet friendly park. The spaces are very large, and level. We camped at Scenic Mountain RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

A couple of great places to eat in Milledgeville: 1) Aubri Lanes, for fine dining, 2) Buffington's, a bar with great food and live music at times, 3) Metropolis Cafe, a hip scene with a full bar and Mediterranean food.

We returned to Scenic Mountain after a year traveling and we immediately noticed a difference. The crew continue to improve an already great place. Sites are now more level and many of them have been extended in length and width to handle larger rigs and give you more room to park. Distance between sites is way more than your typical RV park. Some sites have concrete patios. They have added a clubhouse and the office received a new attractive facade. Full hook up utilities continue to work well. Sites range from full sun to partial shade. We used our satellite dish for tv but cable is available. Wifi is typical for a campground and Verizon 4G is strong. Best place to stay in this area! We camped at Scenic Mountain RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Enjoyed spending Thanksgiving week here in a pull thru site on the hillside with beautiful views. Owners and staff are efficient and concerned with guests' comfort. Ongoing improvements promise even better camping. We camped at Scenic Mountain RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

While the entrance is a bit short and cramped with the office right there, once you are registered and inside a ways it is very easy to maneuver and unhook. We had a back in site which was ample for a 40' with toad. Nice areas to walk dogs. It seems that most people pick up keeping the campground clean. The worst area for non-compliance was the fenced dog pen. Limited number of pull thru sites but easy back in sites. We were in a very shaded site between two large trees. FHU with Cable TV & Wi-Fi...no problems connecting and getting email. Nice views and beautiful sunset. Very well kept grounds and facilities. You can tell the owners and staff care about their campground. Very friendly and helpful staff. Most relaxing stay. We have camped here before for just an overnight and want to come back and spend more time in this charming area. We camped at Scenic Mountain RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Several good restaurants in the college town. BiBa's Italian is north of the main town - good Italian food with delicious garlic knots. This was the original capitol of GA and has a lot of history. Lovely old buildings. Next time we will take the trolley tour for an overview.

This park is just a short distance from Rte. 441. It is literally on the side of a mountain. We stayed in a transient pull-thru, and although it was very level side to side, it had our truck higher than the trailer. It was tolerable for one night. If we were staying longer, I would have put some 2x6 lumber we carry under the trailer to raise it some. All the hookups are close together, so that is nice. We had free cable, and WiFi, however the only thing we could get to connect to the WiFi was the wife's phone. The sites are gravel, and all the roads are paved. Nice! The wife used the pool and said the water was just perfect.

This is a busy place, people walking dogs, and going to and from the pool. There is a laundry, and showers. I used the bathroom/showers, and although it was spotless clean, the lobby had a bad smell to it. The vent fan sounded bad, and one light was burned out.

It is nice up on the hill here and it is a beautiful place to stay.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The grounds are clean.

We will be back to spend some time and explore Millegeville, which has a lot of history. We camped at Scenic Mountain RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Thank you for your comments. We have fixed the fan and the light bulb was changed. Probably the bad smell in the lobby was due to the faulty fan.

Very overpriced. Sites are very close and no shade. The sewer connection is higher than the site and everyone knows it does not run uphill. The entry is very close and room for only 1 unit to turn in. We had to drive into town and make a u-turn since there was a motor home checking and no place to enter and get off the two-lane highway. We camped at Scenic Mountain RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We are very much aware that our entrance is not easy. We have improved it by creating three lanes (see the photo), but not everybody sees them. We would really appreciate your suggestion on how to make people aware of the three lanes so guests like you do not have the inconvenience you had. Yes, the pull thru site that you had does not have shade and is close to other two. I realize that you did not have time to drive thru the park and see how spacious our sites are and that most of them have shade, I posted photos that show what you were not able to see: the swimming pool, stocked fishing ponds that are catch and keep, hiking trails, Thank you for pointing out the problem with the sewer connection. We are working on correcting things like that.

We have stayed here numerous times and have always been very pleased

with everything. The park is extremely well kept, sites are large, many

shaded and it sits on top of a small mountain and the views are great.

Milledgeville offers everything--shopping, good restaurants, and much

history. We stay here usually for one week because it is so quiet and

pleasant. Highly recommend to anyone whether they stay for one night

or a month! We even spent a winter here in our second year of full-timing. We camped at Scenic Mountain RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

We stayed three days in site 9 in a 43' motorhome. New owners have clearly invested a lot of money. The sites are all freshly graveled and pretty level. The sites range from generous to huge. All of the facilities are new or renovated. Wi-Fi worked well enough for email, cable worked but with somewhat limited channel selection. The pool was just relined. The park manager and the work campers were friendly, competent and very service oriented.

Lots of room to walk the dogs in the large green spaces bordering the park. Short walking trails are laid out in the woods surrounding the park, but we found several ticks on us and the dogs after one walk. We camped at Scenic Mountain RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

We were there for a rally. Owner and all employees went out of their way to accommodate and make sure we needed nothing. The sites are all gravel with plenty of room, both the electric pedestal and water are a bit inconvenient. They are both too low and the water is protected by a cute wooden box. The problem with the box is the hinge doesn't allow the door to open and is difficult to connect. Power, water pressure, cable and wifi were good. It is close to town and many restaurant choices. We would stay there again. We camped at Scenic Mountain RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed here 2 nights. Entry to the park is somewhat awkward off the highway, but once in the park maneuvering was easy. We were in one of not many pull-through sites and it was very nice up on the hill. We would stay here again. We camped at Scenic Mountain RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

I loved how spacious and clean the park was. With the space we had, there was a large, beautiful, well maintained grassy area right out of our front door, so there was only one neighboring space. The owner was very sweet and a very nice gentleman named came over right away to help when my husband told him one of the tires on our motorhome was flat. With his air compressor the tire was taken care of in short order. We enjoyed sitting out at our campfire both nights that we spent there. The park was nice and quiet, and Wi-Fi and TV reception were fine. We would definitely stop in again the next time we are traveling through the Millidgeville area. We will be here about 2 months. Since we have a 43' moho we wanted long site and we were allowed to pick out our own. The sites are large enough and LOTS of space between sites so you have a bit of privacy. We haven't checked out the nature trails yet and it's a bit cold for the pool but those are available to you. The site is full hook up with CATV and limited internet access. The owners are very helpful people as are the various workers/hosts that they have here. We feel they truly want you to enjoy your stay. We will recommend to others. We camped at Scenic Mountain RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.
