This is a really nice, clean state park. Our 50 amp, pull-thru site was very spacious and level. There are woods surrounding the campground, so we had woods out our door. They only have 4 or 5 50-amp sites, and they are first come-first served. You can make a reservation, but not site specific. You choose your site once you arrive. There is no sewer hook up, but a dump station. We were attending a family reunion, and the others rented the cabins, which are very nice. We normally only stay at FHU sites, but had no choice. If they had sewer hook ups, this would be a 9 or even a 10. I would love to stay here longer, but we do not want to deal with no sewer. There are paddle boats/kayaks to rent and a splash pad that is free. There's also a playground. There's plenty of room to walk the dog. We received 3 channels on our OTA, had good Verizon cell service, and good WIFI using our hotspot. (Note: the cabins couldn't receive internet with our hotspot, but the CG was fine.) The rate reflects a 30% discount. - Gayle E.

This park is so nice, all of the Rangers and Camp Host are friendly and helpful, we saw the camp host and rangers several times in the 3 days we were here. The park is very well maintained the sites are spaced out and for what we saw were level. There are 4 sites that are 50 amp they are marked with yellow paint. Our site was a 40 foot site, but was much longer than that, we had plenty of room for our 40ft and tow. The trails were great, easy to walk, biking was a little bumpy, but we did it. - thejones357

This was our first camping trip and we had a fabulous time. The views were wonderful. The first turn into the campground is a bit hard, but doable with a 36 foot TT. Our site #22 was nearly perfect. The fishing wasn't great and there were no boats to rent (while park is doing maintenance and upgrades) but that was fine. If using the picnic area via vehicle is important to you - call to check if the gate is closed. Staff were very nice. No one was loud. Pets were all under leash/owner control. We will return! - CindySuess

We were here on a very cold weekend, but we enjoyed our stay here. Very relaxing park, beautiful, very clean and quiet. Site 18 and we did not have to level at all. - GA FRANK
