My wife and I would have been extra delighted to have found a park like this when we traveled to Alaska from Georgia. It is right off the main highway with everything we needed for our one night stay. Very helpful owners and operators. As a PA member this was a great deal and nice place to stay the night. We camped at Cross Creek Campground in a Motorhome.

Had A one night stopover at this park. The management was very nice and helpful with local information. This is a small park with 3 pull thru's in center. The restrooms were very clean and well equipped, with plenty of hot water. My site was gravel, fairly level with a picnic table. Utilities were properly located and in good condition. We camped at Cross Creek Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We were set up by 1:00 pm and had time to visit a couple of the many waterfalls in the area, Clayton GA. is just 4 miles to the south and is a nice place to visit. We had a great dinner at the well know Dillard House just a couple of mile north of the park.
When approaching the park from the south you will top over a hill and the entrance will be on your right and you can pass it very easily if going too fast.

Stayed for 3 nights. This is a very small RV park with 22 sites. Very close sites with gravel and grass. The washrooms and showers are very clean but you do not have room to change when taking a shower. WiFi very poor with good cable. Some noise from Hwy 441. Cash with Passport America $16.35 per night. Dog friendly. We would stay here again. We camped at Cross Creek Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Smaller campground where owners are on site and most helpful. A bit tight for big rigs but the owner is there to help you in and out. When we called he said he had a site we would fit in; call first, especially if you are over 40 ft. Some slope to sites but this is the mountains. Owner helped us place blocks under wheels. Picnic table and fire ring at sites. No pool or playground, etc.
Convenient to stores, restaurants, and local attractions. Road noise is not an issue. Great campground for a few nights although we did meet folks who stay for a month or more. We camped at Cross Creek Campground in a Motorhome.

Great little park right off 441. Extremely well maintained. Some sites back to creek, also pull-thru sites, full hookup, plus cable & WIFI (which was fast & easy to get on). Owner went out of his way to help us with some TV problems. He has terrific customer service & CG shows pride. Park located just a few miles N of Clayton, GA. We camped at Cross Creek Campground in a Motorhome.

Coming from the south, take the first right in Mountain City (Playhouse Dr.) then go straight to the campground entrance on the right. We almost turned into the cabin entrance because we didn't see the smaller sign further up the road. This is a very nice park for a couple of days while visiting the area. We had one of the 3 pull-throughs so that we could get satellite. The sites are gravel but mostly level. The owner is extremely helpful and is constantly working on the grounds. There is some minor traffic noise but nothing to complain about. I was concerned about having to make a left turn onto 441 when leaving, but we really didn't have any problem. The traffic flow does let up providing the chance to make the turn. We would definitely stay here again when visiting or passing through. We camped at Cross Creek Campground in a Motorhome.

This is truly a hidden gem. It is a small campground with no fancy amenities, but very quiet and peaceful. The highway is nearby, but there was not a lot of road noise. The owners are super friendly and helpful. It is very near Clayton, GA with lots of small town charm. The spaces are gravel, very spacious and roomy with plenty of room for the Rv, car and tow dolly. Each spot has a fire pit, BBQ grill and picnic table. We stayed near the creek and the spot sloped toward the creek, but not so much that it was difficult to level the RV. I am sure we will be back to this little gem. We camped at Cross Creek Campground in a Motorhome.

Nice, clean small park with creek running thru it. Good laundry facility, large showers in bath. Back-in and pull-through, gravel sites. Owner keeps place immaculate.

Good walking route around lake located behind campground. We camped at Cross Creek Campground in a Motorhome.

This is a wonderful small park located near Clayton, Ga. The owners are a delight and take great care of this CG. No pool, no playground, means that it's mostly couples and older ones at that. So it was very peaceful and quiet even though it's located very near the major highway - 441. The sites are mostly all gravel and can be just a bit tricky to maneuver into, but it can be done. Gates close early and open late, but there is a small bridge which enters the park for vehicles only that can be accessed most of the time. We extended our stay because of the "niceness" of this park and we will definitely use it again. Our rate reflects the Passport America rate, which was suggested and given with a sincere smile. We camped at Cross Creek Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Rate is Passport America. We were the first guests of the season and the restrooms were not open as yet. Even though the campground is right off the highway, it was quiet. The owners were very friendly and offered suggestions of what to see in the area. This is a very nice little RV park. Very convenient to all the area offers. Not sure what previous reviewers were referring to when they remarked about tight spots. We had plenty of room between coaches to extend our awning, unless they were referring to the mature trees at the sites. Our site was next to the creek which made it very picturesque. We would stay there again if in the area. We camped at Cross Creek Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

The owners are very nice so I hate to leave a bad review, but it's important for others to get an honest view of this very tight and small campground. The sites are so close you can't open your awning and the stream is really a very small creek. The site is close to the busy main road and there's little place to walk to. This RV park is okay if you only need a place to park your RV overnight or for a separate event, but if you want to camp for the experience of camping this isn't a good. Sorry, but this is the truth. We camped at Cross Creek Campground in a Motorhome.

$17.00 reflects Passport America rate. This is a great little rv park. Very convenient to all the area offers. We were here for 4 days and wish we had 4 more to explore the Blue Ridge Mountains. The park itself is spotless. The bath houses are the cleanest I've seen in a campground and the murals inside them are nice surprise. It shows you how much pride these owners have in their park. Speaking of the owners, they are always busy doing something to improve the park or to make your stay here a pleasant one. The hookups are newer and worked great. The wifi is strong and fast. The water pressure is very good too. You can fill your propane tanks on site and when the cafe opens in May, you can get yourself filled up on site too. We will be back! Small campground with a very home like feel. Owners live on site and are constantly working on CG and it shows. Super nice people and very helpful. I lost a tire while here and they made sure I was well taken care of, without being taken advantage of. Bath houses were painted with murals inside and very cool. Only bad thing was Wi-Fi was strong but the modem seemed overloaded. We will be back. We camped at Cross Creek Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Cable TV is upgraded to major service and WiFi is 5 bar strong. Owners live on site and are friendly and helpful. Close to major grocery and other shopping. The reason this park did not receive a 10 was the bathrooms were not cleaned the 6 days we were here. This was not a problem as there were few people using them, however when the camp is full, that could be problematic. We camped at Cross Creek Campground in a Travel Trailer.
