Level gravel roads and sites with 3 pull through sites, CG is small and tight but OK. Staff is very friendly and takes you to your site. 50a, water and sewer worked well as did our rooftop dish. Verizon cell and hotspot worked, WiFi was OK. Some road noise. Site 6 was easy longer pull through, 4 was very tight turn into. We camped at Cross Creek Camp Ground and Cabins in a Fifth Wheel.

Another small campground with FHU, cable and good wifi. Very clean, owner is very helpful and lives on the property. We came in with no reservation and were able to stay 4 days. Just off the highway in Mountain City. We were in a 30' class C motorhome. Be sure and turn out the light when leaving the bathroom. We camped at Cross Creek Camp Ground and Cabins in a Motorhome.

This is a very small camp with immaculate landscaping and great owners. They are so welcoming and helpful. It is a great location for many activities and will be our "go-to" campground whenever we go to the north GA mountains. We stayed in a site up front the first 2 nights and it was a bit noisy because we were too close to hwy 441, but everything else is great here! We camped at Cross Creek Camp Ground and Cabins in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Helen is about a 30 minute drive. Just a few minutes to the Dillard House and stables for horse back riding and good food. It's only about 10 - 15 miles to the North Carolina line.

Stayed here 6 weeks in all. Park has 22 sites and also cabin rentals. Quiet, nicely landscaped, extremely well maintained. Owners live on the property and handle everything themselves. Mountain City is north of Clayton and Dillard, GA, and about 25 minutes from Franklin, NC. Great location, helpful and accommodating owners, lots of repeat business. We camped at Cross Creek Camp Ground and Cabins in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Downtown Clayton has nice restaurants and cute shops, the Dillard House is just up the road, and Highlands and Franklin, NC are within 30-40 minutes. Osage Market provides locally grown produce and there is a great Ingles grocery story and other specialty markets nearby. Black Rock Mountain state park and Rabun Gap-Nacootchee school are also within 5 miles. Beautiful valleys surrounded by mountains.

My wife and I would have been extra delighted to have found a park like this when we traveled to Alaska from Georgia. It is right off the main highway with everything we needed for our one night stay. Very helpful owners and operators. As a PA member this was a great deal and nice place to stay the night. We camped at Cross Creek Camp Ground and Cabins in a Motorhome.

Had a great time, only wish we could have stayed longer. We were escorted to our site. It's a small campground but they were terrific. On Saturday night we had a bonfire and music with all the campers. Would enjoy going back, and if possible we will. We camped at Cross Creek Camp Ground and Cabins in a Travel Trailer.

Had A one night stopover at this park. The management was very nice and helpful with local information. This is a small park with 3 pull thru's in center. The restrooms were very clean and well equipped, with plenty of hot water. My site was gravel, fairly level with a picnic table. Utilities were properly located and in good condition. We camped at Cross Creek Camp Ground and Cabins in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We were set up by 1:00 pm and had time to visit a couple of the many waterfalls in the area, Clayton GA. is just 4 miles to the south and is a nice place to visit. We had a great dinner at the well know Dillard House just a couple of mile north of the park.
When approaching the park from the south you will top over a hill and the entrance will be on your right and you can pass it very easily if going too fast.

Stayed for 3 nights. This is a very small RV park with 22 sites. Very close sites with gravel and grass. The washrooms and showers are very clean but you do not have room to change when taking a shower. WiFi very poor with good cable. Some noise from Hwy 441. Cash with Passport America $16.35 per night. Dog friendly. We would stay here again. We camped at Cross Creek Camp Ground and Cabins in a Fifth Wheel.

Smaller campground where owners are on site and most helpful. A bit tight for big rigs but the owner is there to help you in and out. When we called he said he had a site we would fit in; call first, especially if you are over 40 ft. Some slope to sites but this is the mountains. Owner helped us place blocks under wheels. Picnic table and fire ring at sites. No pool or playground, etc.
Convenient to stores, restaurants, and local attractions. Road noise is not an issue. Great campground for a few nights although we did meet folks who stay for a month or more. We camped at Cross Creek Camp Ground and Cabins in a Motorhome.

Great little park right off 441. Extremely well maintained. Some sites back to creek, also pull-thru sites, full hookup, plus cable & WIFI (which was fast & easy to get on). Owner went out of his way to help us with some TV problems. He has terrific customer service & CG shows pride. Park located just a few miles N of Clayton, GA. Coming from the south, take the first right in Mountain City (Playhouse Dr.) then go straight to the campground entrance on the right. We almost turned into the cabin entrance because we didn't see the smaller sign further up the road. This is a very nice park for a couple of days while visiting the area. We had one of the 3 pull-throughs so that we could get satellite. The sites are gravel but mostly level. The owner is extremely helpful and is constantly working on the grounds. There is some minor traffic noise but nothing to complain about. I was concerned about having to make a left turn onto 441 when leaving, but we really didn't have any problem. The traffic flow does let up providing the chance to make the turn. We would definitely stay here again when visiting or passing through. We camped at Cross Creek Camp Ground and Cabins in a Motorhome.

This is truly a hidden gem. It is a small campground with no fancy amenities, but very quiet and peaceful. The highway is nearby, but there was not a lot of road noise. The owners are super friendly and helpful. It is very near Clayton, GA with lots of small town charm. The spaces are gravel, very spacious and roomy with plenty of room for the Rv, car and tow dolly. Each spot has a fire pit, BBQ grill and picnic table. We stayed near the creek and the spot sloped toward the creek, but not so much that it was difficult to level the RV. I am sure we will be back to this little gem. We camped at Cross Creek Camp Ground and Cabins in a Motorhome.

Nice, clean small park with creek running thru it. Good laundry facility, large showers in bath. Back-in and pull-through, gravel sites. Owner keeps place immaculate.

This is a wonderful small park located near Clayton, Ga. The owners are a delight and take great care of this CG. No pool, no playground, means that it's mostly couples and older ones at that. So it was very peaceful and quiet even though it's located very near the major highway - 441. The sites are mostly all gravel and can be just a bit tricky to maneuver into, but it can be done. Gates close early and open late, but there is a small bridge which enters the park for vehicles only that can be accessed most of the time. We extended our stay because of the "niceness" of this park and we will definitely use it again. Our rate reflects the Passport America rate, which was suggested and given with a sincere smile. We camped at Cross Creek Camp Ground and Cabins in a Fifth Wheel.

Rate is Passport America. We were the first guests of the season and the restrooms were not open as yet. Even though the campground is right off the highway, it was quiet. The owners were very friendly and offered suggestions of what to see in the area. This is a very nice little RV park. Very convenient to all the area offers. Not sure what previous reviewers were referring to when they remarked about tight spots. We had plenty of room between coaches to extend our awning, unless they were referring to the mature trees at the sites. Our site was next to the creek which made it very picturesque. We would stay there again if in the area. We camped at Cross Creek Camp Ground and Cabins in a Motorhome.
