Nov 2011 - $25.00
We pulled into this place and immediately thought, "uh oh." They don't accept Good Sam or any other discount memberships, which is a red flag to me to start. It is NOT big rig friendly, but the host told us to pull up to a spot about 5 feet from a small trailer that was parked next to us. No room to do anything. The 50 amp electrical pedestal had black all around it which indicated a blow out or short of some kind earlier. I would not hook up to it. All the parking spots are sandy. We left. - Steve and Kathy Burnett
Oct 2009 - $25.00
This was a great park for a one night stay, which worked out fine for the way that we usually travel. The site was a little tight but the water/sewer/electric/cable were all easy to access. We were just off of a main highway but since we were towards the back, it was very quiet. The interior roads are all gravel and there was plenty of room to maneuver our rig with a car in tow. The park was heavily wooded which was great for shade, but made satellite access a little difficult. The staff were friendly and we had an escort to our site. I would definitely stay there again when in the area. - rgatijnet

Not sure what the other reviewers are griping about. I was greeted by the owner as I exited my RV to check in and he showed me where to park. This place is in the country, folks. It's an overnight stay for most as its not near attractions or a metropolitan area. It's not a park with lots of amenities. It has full hookups and free WiFi. You cannot beat this for $17.50 (Passport America). I will stay here again if I'm in the area. - Randallas
Mar 2014 - $15.00
This campground is pretty old and pretty run down. We stayed here one night at the Passport rate but I doubt we'll ever return. The only pull-through site big enough for our rig was right on a busy and noisy highway. The service post at our site was old and falling apart. There were no circuit breakers to turn off the power while we plugged in. The 50-amp plug didn't work and the 15-amp plug showed a hot ground wire. The 30-amp plug had just been replaced and worked OK. The park has narrow, rutty roads and is filled with old, permanent trailers. I can't think of anything nice to say about this place. - Johnnyonthespot

Devencrest An older park with some sections out of service and many permanent residents. We were directly across from the office. Showers were adequate but not well maintained. Excellent Wi-Fi. Good cable. Due to the layout and maintenance it is difficult to tell what is a functional camping site and how it is entered. Campers should arrive well before the office closes (5PM) so you have assistance in finding a site. While you may get a big rig in and out I would not consider this park designed for big rigs. Enough traffic noise that we had to sleep with our windows closed. We stayed 2 days at the PA Rate. - rossby

Sep 2017 - $31.00
Easy access from road, lots of room to maneuver, pull through sites, large wide concrete pads(60FT+), water pressure is great, commercial washer dryers, 80+cable Channels remember $31.00 ! That's very cheap for cleanliness and security. We came here because of hurricane Irma. Campground was full, but they found a spot. We had to move once, no big deal. The staff in office will bend over backward (VERY NICE), will drive out of my way to stay again. - willow/dozer
May 2017 - $34.00
We stopped for an overnight stay with our 31' 5th wheel. The staff was very friendly. They gave us a large pull through site up front. The large concrete slabs made leveling very easy and kept things clean. There are no great amenities but it is very beautifully wooded and peaceful. The town doesn't offer a lot of nice restaurants, but for a one night stay, it was okay. We would stay here again. - Caveman54

Great park, convenient stopover on our way to Alabama from Florida. Large pull throughs, 120'. Concrete patio, trees separating each site. Staff was friendly and helpfull - FOSJ

Basics: roads a nice and wide, gravel with a lot of nice big pot holes, so go slow. Power 50 amp and water at site. Dump station. Bathrooms/showers are dated and unheated with good pressure and ok hot water. The site was sand and grass and was pretty level. Washer and driers in the bathroom building. There are many old big trees and most sites are partially shaded. They have no wifi but Verizon phone and Mifi work well. This is a large regional park that is run by a foundation it use to be a state park. So there's a lot of other things to do besides camp. See details below. We'd stay here again if we're in the area. - pumper9x9
Jun 2017 - $25.00
We decided to try this park when visiting relatives in Albany. Drove up with no reservation, but there was plenty of room. I was kinda excited because the entrance was very pretty, although the check in building could use a little maintenence. Upon reaching the full hookup sites, we had trouble finding the one we had been assigned. It looked like someone else was in that spot, so we moved a little further down, and I called to office to let them know. Then the camp host showed up and told us we couldn't use that spot, there would another camper arriving. So, he pointed out the one we were supposed to use. Very muddy from recent rain, and the grass had been worn off. I asked if we could move to another spot that was NOT full hookups, and he said no. Again, expecting more campers. Well, no new campers were in the park the next morning, and we were in a muddy site, sharing hookups with a neighbor who looked like a permanent resident, but we never saw them. I was not real impressed with the place. - Doxie Mom
Jun 2017 - $18.00
Campsites are in a large grassy area with many trees. Sites have dirt roads, and are reasonably flat. Plenty of pull-thru space is available. My pull-thru site (16) could easily hold two 40' motor homes. It is not a deluxe location, but quite satisfactory. We arrived about 4PM on a Saturday afternoon, June 3, and were able to get a site without reservati0ns Many other activities are available, including a zoo, see www.chehaw.org. We were escorted to our site, and they offered to help us position our rig. When stopping at the park entrance building, rv'ers should take the outer lane, pull through and park, and come to the building to pay and get a site. The normal entrance would have been very tight for our 18' travel trailer. Fees are as follows (in early June, 2017): Full hookups: $28 Regular hookups: Water and electricity (20, 30, and 50A were available at our site) $20 Tents: $15 Cabins $35 for Standard and $75 for Deluxe Seniors can get regular hookups for $18. Dump station is available. We were happy with our site, and will come again. - Jim22
