This is a return visit for us at Pine Mountain. We love the layout where every site feels private despite the fact that most of the park is open with only a scattering of younger trees. Long concrete pads. Internal roads both paved and crushed stone. Park in immaculate condition. Staff friendly and welcoming. With friends in the area, we'll be back in the future. We camped at Pine Mountain RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Nearby attractions: > FDR's Warm Springs home (place where he died) > Calloway Botanical Gardens > Hills and Dale Estate > US Infantry Museum (Columbus - 25 mi.) > Museum of the Confederacy (Columbus - 25 mi.)

First impressions when entering the resort are good. All the sites for large rigs and 5th wheels are in the back on a hill - no trees. In fact, in many cases you can drive into the site without first unhooking your tow vehicle. The sites are all level and many have a concrete pad for the RV. All the sites we saw had two sewer hook-ups. One at each end of the concrete pad. That was an interesting feature. However, there are several negatives. The sites are way over-priced. But if you can use your Passport America card - then it becomes reasonable. AFTER you sign in and pay, they give you your receipt which very clearly states they have had considerable problems with Cable and WiFi and therefore NO refunds will be given if you get a site that does not have these working. Fortunately for us, there were sites available so they moved us to a location that had working service. The cable picture and WiFi signals are OK - but not great. Water pressure was good so no issues there. The staff we met were friendly. We camped at Pine Mountain RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Callaway Gardens is 5 minutes away. FDR State Park is less than 20 minutes away. - Both are very much worth visiting

This is a nice campground, but it is definitely overpriced. Most of the sites are in the open and on top of a hill. It was very windy and we weren't able to spend much time outside due to being exposed to the wind and the danger it posed by preventing us from extending our awning. If Wi-Fi is important to you, (as it is to me) then this is a campground you should avoid. Their website says "Free & reliable Wi-Fi throughout the property". That certainly is a joke, their Wi-Fi is almost non-existent. We camped at Pine Mountain RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Lots of interesting places to visit in the area: Callaway Gardens (Pine Mountain), FDR's Little White House (Warm Springs), Hills & Dales Estate (LaGrange) and the National Infantry Museum (Ft. Benning).

We stayed at Pine Mountain RV Resort for one night on the way home from the Gulf Coast. The park is about 8 miles off of I-185 north of Columbus, GA, and the roads are good. I booked an extended-length pull-through site in order to avoid unhooking my toad, and site 186 was assigned. The park had only a few sites occupied, all in our general area. Sites in this area are open with no shade (it was cold so it didn't matter). We were escorted to the site. A level concrete pad made setup easy. Wifi was strong and fast. Cable TV produced only a snowy picture, so we relied on satellite and local antenna (only 3 channels).

The park was fine for what we needed. The recreational facilities look good, but with the large number of spaces in close proximity, I'm not sure this is a place we'd stay in the high season. We camped at Pine Mountain RV Resort in a Motorhome.

When making my reservation, I requested a site in the Day Lilly area since it was shaded and cheaper than the other areas. I was told my 40" motor home would have to go the the Azalea area. The Azalea sites have concrete pads and two available sewer connections, one near the other utilities and one further back in the site. The interior roads are gravel and paved providing easy access to all the sites. We were escorted to our site. There were only a dozen or so rigs in the Azalea area and yet they put another rig right next to us. There is only one shower area for the Azalea area, so it could be pretty busy when the resort is more full. We had several inches of rain on our first night with no flooding or drainage issues. The Azalea sites are in the open with no shade at all. We camped at Pine Mountain RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Convenient to Callaway Gardens, FDR State Park and Summer House and downtown historic LaGrange. Stop in at Charlie Joseph's vintage diner in downtown LaGrange for a burger and Coke.

Campground is easy access from I-185. Internal roads are paved and campsites in the Azalea section are concrete. We drive a 44' MH with a tow and were able to easily navigate the park with the tow. Staff were very friendly and we got an escort to our site. Most sites in this area look level with good hook-ups, our site was level and the coach auto-leveled with no difficulty. The grounds are nicely maintained and the campground is clean. We did not use the CG rest room or laundry so cannot comment on that. Quiet hours begin at 10P and there was loud music up until that time on the Saturday we were there. Overall, nice place and we would stop here again. We camped at Pine Mountain RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Based upon the CG address, our GPS tried to bring us in the "back way". Entrance to GC is off US Hwy 27 (Hamilton Rd)

The staff was very helpful. Escort to site was helpful. Our site, 75, in the treed area was not that good. The site is a pull thru, very little gravel, lots of dirt. We had to use blocks to level. This site is on the end of a row and is next to a well traveled road. No defined patio, but a picnic table is provided. The worst part of this site is the closeness to the road. I felt I was too close to the road for safety while sitting outside. With our bedroom slide out I felt as if our bedroom was in the road. In my opinion, this site should be eliminated due to closeness to the road. It would be entirely inappropriate for a family with children. We camped at Pine Mountain RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Great shopping in the town of Pine Mountain. Merchants are extremely friendly. Callaway Gardens is a must see.

We stayed in the treed section, which was a gravel site on a hill. We were not really able to get our coach level. Sewer hookup was uphill from the coach. The facilities were nice and the staff was helpful with any request.

There are also concrete pad sites which were all booked for the rally going on - they appeared to be much more level but are in an open field and so very sunny. We camped at Pine Mountain RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We enjoyed visiting the FDR Little White House and Bath House in Warm Springs. Small grocery store in Pine Mountain adequate; La Grange is about 20 minutes away for larger grocery stores, WalMart, etc.

Beautiful clubhouse/store. The park is huge. We happened to be there during a BlueBird rally. I've never seen so many BlueBirds in one place in my life. Anyway, the staff was great, the park is surrounded by mountain pines, quiet, peaceful. Loved it. When we pass through Georgia again, we'll definitely stay there again. It is a rare find when you discover a "home away from home" kind of place. That is what Pine Mountain RV Resort is!

First, let me say their grounds and facilities are meticulous and their amenities are abundant...my favorite is the steam shower! More important, though, is the warm welcome and the consistent care they give to their guests. "Their actions clearly say, "You are important to us. We are so glad you are here. What can we do to make your stay memorable?" They quickly changed my site, after hours, to provide a closer, more convenient site because I was on crutches. A place worth returning to! We camped at Pine Mountain RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We have stayed at Pine Mountain RV Resort several times because we live close by and it is convenient; however, the nightly rate does NOT reflect the quality of the RV park. The pool is nice and clean; however, we arrived at the pool at 11:00AM on Saturday and there were only 13 lounge chairs for an RV park that can accommodate 200+ people. If I'm going to pay $49.00 per night the least they can do is provide a comfortable chair to sit in by the pool. We will NOT be back. Also, I called the office to complain and there was NO follow-up by management. They obviously don't care about their patrons. Very poor customer care. Also, all the RV sites are in an open field with no shade. We camped at Pine Mountain RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

The office staff is very friendly and the check-in process was easy and efficient. We stayed in the newer section. The concrete pad was fairly level and there was plenty of room for our Class C and tow car. The campsite was very spacious and the aren't crammed together. This was our 4th visit to this park. We camped at Pine Mountain RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We took our grandkids to the animal park that's about 3 miles from the camp ground. They had a blast. So did the adults.

Pine Mountain RV is a great campground if visiting Callaway Gardens! The newer campsites were totally exposed with no mature shade trees, and the older section was very shady...but close and unlevel with several permanent looking sites. Our campsite was a concrete pull through with full sewer hookup, great water pressure, wifi, and cable, but you had to get a cable box from them which didn't work half the time and was a real hassle. We finally just used our antenna and was able to find at least some news channels. We were also "very close" to our neighbor, which I don't understand with all of the property that they could not have spaced them a bit further apart. There was a nice pool and restroom there, which we didn't use. The staff was really friendly and helpful to our needs and even escorted us to our site upon arrival. Overall, the campground is very nice, but seemed very commercial and more of just an overnight place to stay. It was also a bit pricey if you did not use the half off Passport America rate. We camped at Pine Mountain RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Definitely visit Callaway Gardens while in Pine Mountain!
