Excellent! My deluxe site was large with new furniture. Utilities in good location and worked well. Roads are in good shape and easy to maneuver. Sites are well spaced with some in trees and some satellite friendly. A pretty lake with swans, geese and ducks. Exceptionally clean. Definitely a spot I will return to for a longer stay. Lots of open space along the lake for walking. We camped at Savannah South KOA in a Motorhome.

Worker helped us get in and out of site. Nice park. Sites a little tight like most KOAs. Nice buildings and grounds. Dog park. Office staff helpful. On a very busy street but did not hear road noise. They have a beautiful lake, tent camping and cabins also. Nice place. We camped at Savannah South KOA in a Motorhome.

This was an over nigbt stop while traveling. Sites were a bit narrow for my taste but suitable for an over night stop. Pool looked nice, showers were good, nice large store. We would stay bere again for an over night. We camped at Savannah South KOA in a Motorhome.

Our super close full-hook up site included cable and free WIFI. We loved having a guide to our site. Odd water hook-up but super friendly workers helped us figure it out right away. We had a one night-pull through site & had just enough room to not unhook the truck from our 30' TT, which made us very happy. Park is in the "gnat zone" of Georgia. Like most KOA's, price is on the high side. Restrooms/showers are dated but clean. We camped at Savannah South KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

There is a hop-on/hop-off shuttle that will take you into Savannah in the AM and bring you back late afternoon. It's not a KOA service, but very nice to not have to worry about that parking issue in Savannah!

We have been visiting this CG beginning in 2006 and each time stay for at least five days. It's close to the interstate, yet far enough away that you don't hear it. For the most part, it's a rustic setting with tall pines offering up nice shade (not at all sites). 20 minutes you're in Savannah and another 20, you're on Tybee Island. Spend a day at historic locations nearby then return to an peaceful evening sitting by the water watching beautiful swans, geese, egrets and other birds. Occasionally you might get a glimpse of a small gater! We just left there last week after a 6 day stay and we'll be back again, no doubt..... We camped at Savannah South KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Typical old KOA, narrow roads and sites, tight turns, old and confused layout, utilities in wrong place (I needed 40' of sewer hose). When I was there they were having a bug problem. Good access from I-75. We camped at Savannah South KOA in a Motorhome.

While we're here for just an overnight stay on our way North, this campground is extremely nice and the staff couldn't be nicer. The Lake, teeming with Mute Swans, Geese and Wood Duck were a great treat. Will plan to make this a stop for our trips back and forth from PA to FL in the future! We camped at Savannah South KOA in a Motorhome.

This is a large campground about 15 miles south of Savannah. Very convenient off the interstate, and not a bad little trip into Savannah at all. Great staff, paved interior roads with typical KOA gravel sites. The pond is a BIG plus. Fun to watch all the swans and geese. Lots of shade. We lucked out at site 15 so satellite dish worked. A very pleasant place to stay. We camped at Savannah South KOA in a Motorhome.

We often choose KOA when we're on a tear and need the campground to be convenient to the expressway and predictably good. This one was no exception. We were packed in pretty tightly with snowbirds heading back up north, and up until dark there was a steady stream of vehicles arriving. But this was to be expected, and KOA handled it in their usual efficient style. One pleasant surprise was a lovely lake with beautiful white swans swimming on it. Would like to have had time to take a walk on what looked like a logging trail behind the campground. We camped at Savannah South KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The best part about our brief stay was a nearby restaurant that the KOA staff recommended, called Local on 17. My husband and I both had petit filets, which were delicious. The portion sizes were perfect, and by that I mean NOT designed for a lumberjack. Enough to fill you up but still allow you to sleep.

We used this campground as our base for Savannah, Hilton Head, St Simon and Jekyll Islands. We weren't here much during the day, but it was certainly quiet in the evenings. The staff is helpful with arrival and parking the camper. Also, the power went out on our row of sites, but they were able to fix the problem quickly. Just stayed one night as a convenient pull off on I95. This is a full resort campground that is suitable for family and extended visits into Savannah or just overnite like us. Roads & sites were well kept & level gravel. Tengo internet was free, reasonably fast and reliable as were other services including a nice channel selection on cable TV. Catch and release fishing is free at the pretty lake and the tall pines provide a nice setting. Staff very helpful at check in AND had responded to my site request from my online reservation note. Pool was nice but closed for the season. Will definitely use this as a stop in the future again! We camped at Savannah South KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Mollie McPhersons Scottish pub offers authentic Scots fare alongside standard pub fare. Wonderful fish pie (salmon, shrimp and haddock) and haddock fish and chips, Scotch eggs and meat pies. Good draft beers & ale and a wide selection of ...yup...Scotch!

Coming off 95: head east on 17 about 1/4 mile on left. KOA is in the other direction about 1 mile.

Besides the sites of Savannah, the passworded Tengo internet here is good enough reason to stay here. The park was continually full, and the internet connections, speed, and response times continued to be excellent. RV Park is located off i-95 on U.S. highway 17. It is 22 miles south of downtown Savannah. Our rate was a KOA rate. Rates vary widely depending on KOA, length of stay, amperage, and patios. In order to get a good campsite for over a week in March, we had to make reservations 2 months in advance. They are continually turning away campers that drive in with no reservations. This park has just about everything including a well stocked store, and nearby stores which have pretty much anything you may have forgotten to bring including groceries and camping supplies. We had a pull-through on the edge of the park with full hook-ups right on the side of the motor home. Some site's hook-ups are all the way in the back of the site. They have tall pine trees, swans, cardinals, red-headed woodpeckers, and squirrels. They have asphalt driveways and gravel pads, and mowed grass around the edge of the pads. They have picnic tables. BBQ grills and asphalt pads come with the patio sites. Fire rings are available on request. They have screw in sewer connections. Water pressure was good at 60 psi. Electrical is 30 and 50 amps. If you are quiet at night, you can hear the train and the train whistle. In the back of the park there is a 'metered section' with camp sites and cabins for long term residents. There is cable TV with 57 channels from Comcast in Hinesville. Verizon Wireless was 5 out of 5 bars; ATT wireless 3 out of 5 bars, 4G. Seventeen FM radio stations and 2 AM radio stations. There is trash pick up at the site. Spring came early this year so the Azalea blooms were just about finished. There were small biting Black Gnats (Buffalo Gnats) about 1/8 inch long which made insect repellent necessary. The bites itched like crazy. We would camp here again. We camped at Savannah South KOA in a Motorhome.

This is a fabulous campground! We make this stop part of our trip south every year. The staff is accommodating and friendly, immediately took us to our site and helped to back in and hook up. Several sites are on the water which is alive with birds and other habitat. Areas for all to enjoy the waters edge are available, shaded and quite pleasant. The swans are absolutely gorgeous and didn't bother us on our site the way ducks often do at other parks. It's great to watch kids enjoying the nature available here. I highly recommend this KOA to families and others! We camped at Savannah South KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

This KOA is unique. It's deluxe site is fabulous with resin furniture, table chairs, fire pit and even a propane grill. The staff is friendly. Some of the sites and roadways are tight for big rigs. I can only speak for the one night I was there but the unique part was the artillery shells exploding from the nearby army base. The vibrations literally caused the rig to shake for 15-20 intervals at night. The office staff was cavalier regarding the explosions. We camped at Savannah South KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
