We enjoyed this campground! The amenities are a little dated, but the kids (and even the adults) still enjoyed them! They had a playground, plenty of outdoor games, and also an indoor area with toys and games. The owner was extremely friendly. He showed us to our site and helped spot to park it. It was very quiet and peaceful and an easy drive to Helen. There was a good selection of cable channels and the wifi was the best we've ever had at a campground. We will definitely return. We camped at Cherokee Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Close by was the Alpine Village and Anna Ruby Falls which are both wonderful. We also enjoyed tubing down the river with Cool River Tubing. And Ziplining with Nacoochee Adventures.

Quiet park only 6 miles from Helen. Many full time campers and fairly well maintained. Great owners, gravel sites, some pull thrus. No kids (!!!) but there is a playground away from the sites. Overall the best deal in town. Full hookup, good wi-if and 60 cable channels! All for $25 a night. Common room old, not used much. Bathrooms and shower area old but clean. We'll be back. We camped at Cherokee Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Stayed for the recent Victory m/c rally in Helen, the campground is easy to locate and easy to maneuver throughout. We stayed in a pull-thru site rather than a back-in due to the availability at check-in. All sites have shade and have plenty of space around them. Probably 25% of park have full-timers and the rest are for visitors. Owner is very congenial and helpful/knowledgeable of area. Limited grocery avail, fuel is avail in town. We camped at Cherokee Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Cherokee Campground near Helen, Georgia is a great campground. Highly recommended. Located less than 5 miles to Helen (right next to Unicoi State Park). There are about 55 sites - all level. The sites are mostly gravel. The roads are mostly paved. THE WIFI IS GREAT!!! Probably the best wifi I've had at a campground. There are 60 cable TV channels. 50amp, full hookup, and primitive (some of the tent sites have water and electricity). There are some long term residents. There is a small older clubhouse for meeting residents. The restrooms are dated, but they are clean. For kids there is a good playground with wooden ship to climb on, tetherball, shuffle board, basketball, and open area to run. The park is tucked away secluded from any road. It's very quiet. There are lush trees that surround the park and help divide the camp sites. The park owner guided me to my site in the dark and directed my parking. He is full of good stories. His little fat dog Peanut will greet you too. What I paid for the 3 nights I stayed was so little I felt guilty. This is not a perfect campground - some of the picnic tables are old, etc. Many of the other local Helen campgrounds are leased sites only. For the money you can't beat this place. We camped at Cherokee Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Owner was very personable. He personally helps you to your site. Pull thru site was wide. Bathrooms were older but clean. Lots of wildlife. Definitely will be back to this campground. Nice level sites paved with gravel. We camped at Cherokee Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Good location for many North Georgia towns and historical sites. Close to Helen Alpine Village for shopping and Bavarian restaurants.
Also many National parks, Anna Ruby Falls, Georgia Unicoi State Parks and beautiful Appalachian vistas. Shuffle board, play ground, tent camping (porta potty).

Great people, paved street, level sites, full hook ups with cable tv for $25 a night, this place is a real bargain. There is no pool and not much of a clubhouse but we had no plan to use either and it was nice not to have to pay extra for them. There are some seasonal units occupied by senior citizens. Very pleasant place to stay. We will return. We camped at Cherokee Campground in a Motorhome.

Rate shown is based on a weekly rate. Park is older and a little run down. Spaces tend to be a little smaller but the park does have a couple of large pull thrus and some average size ones. The rest are smaller back-ins. Many trees and tight road but did not impact us moving around with our 40 foot fifth wheel. Main road is paved and sites are gravel and level. Nice quiet setting and a great value as regular daily rate is $22. Wi-Fi is free and worked great during our stay. There is cable but we did not use so I cannot comment. I was able to use my satellite dish in the park. There is a laundry room but he keeps it locked as he does not really want you to use it. It has one washer and two dryers. Park is about 6 miles from Helen, GA. and about 3 miles from the state park. I would recommend if visiting area as you cannot beat the value for a full hook-up space. We camped at Cherokee Campground in a Motorhome.

The owners were very nice. There were a number of leased/owned lots. The game room had air hockey and ping pong. The bathrooms were very clean and well kept. The site where we stayed, had a paved area for a picnic table. The price was very reasonable at $22 for full hook-ups, cable, wi-fi and paved area for table/chairs. We camped at Cherokee Campground in a Travel Trailer.
