From the moment you roll in to Creekwood you get the feeling that you are visiting family. The owner will email you when they are open. She called for an ETA and when we arrived, she was out of the office to meet us. The owner directed my husband into the very long spot better than anyone! Definitely let her assist. She knows what she is doing! The camp WiFi password makes you feel warm all over. I can't tell you what it is, I guess you will have to go there to find out. But it's something your mom would say to you when you arrived home after a long trip! Even though it is located next to the road, we were downhill from it and it was not a bother. The graveled patio was very spacious and clean. The fire ring was stone, not a rusted tire rim like so many. Owner's advice of what to do and where to eat is excellent. Take notes. I know it sounds like I must be related, but I honestly just met her! She answers every question and truly takes care of you while you are there! Thanks to the owners for a very wonderful stay. You made us feel very welcome. We camped at Creekwood Resort Campground & Cabins in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Go to Bodensee for their Brie in foil-fantastic! The bakery at Hofer's Has a lot to offer. The Cabbage Patch Babyland is so cute it makes you love them again. Get the Jambalaya across the street from Creekwood. We got it frozen and heated it up after a long day of running errands.

If you want to find a quiet oasis in the North Georgia Mountains, you must visit Creekwood Campground. We usually camp in state parks and was reluctant to stay at a private campground, I was extremely surprised with this gem of a campground. We lucked out by having Unicoi State Park booked solid on veterans day weekend. After driving thru Unicoi State Park Campground to compare the 2 camp grounds, Creekwood is excellent and Unicoi is a good campground. Creekwood has paved, level sites, with a picnic table on a nice pad of rocks, and a large grassy area with a fire pit. There is plenty of space between each campsite, and towering trees for great shade. They also had cable tv with over 80+ channels. The WiFi was the BEST ever in a campground. If you are ever in the Helen GA area or the North GA Mountains you should Call Creekwood Campground to see if they have any space available. You will not regret it! We camped at Creekwood Resort Campground & Cabins in a Travel Trailer.

Creekwood is truly superb RV Park. It is a small park with only 17 sites. Aesthetically, beautiful and towering hardwoods provide a canopy of shade to all sites, and provide for a magnificent, relaxing and tranquil setting. The owners live on-site and are two of the nicest and most accommodating RV park owners I have ever encountered. They each take immense pride in their respective roles. He is in a perpetual state of maintaining the grounds to immaculate standards. You will not find one shred of trash anywhere. He is also very knowledgeable about fly-fishing the area for trout (which is primarily why I was here). She takes perfect care of reservations and concierge. She knows the area well and can provide you with an accurate itinerary of things to do, dining options, etc.

And by the way, despite what others may have said in past reviews, she is an absolute expert in helping you back into your site. Put your ego aside, listen to her and follow her directions because she knows what she's doing.

All hook-ups worked perfectly and without fail, including cable television. And unlike most RV parks I visit, the Wifi signal at Creekwood was fantastic. The showers and restrooms were conveniently located and perfectly maintained.

While here, I visited other RV Parks in the area and can state without equivocation that Creekwood is, in my opinion, hands down, the best! These owners do everything within their power to make the campground and your RV site the perfect home away from home during your stay. Simply put, you cannot go wrong with Creekwood. We recently stayed here and return as often as possible , the owners were very helpful and helped with suggestions for places to go and places to eat . The lady was very helpful to us to get our pet to a local vet and we were very thankful for that . We had friends come in to visit us and they stayed in one of the cabins they have on the hill and they enjoyed the facilities . I don't know how you could go wrong with this place. We needed a break after a couple rough weeks and the first place that came to mind was Creekwood. We've only been RV'ing for a little over a year and Creekwood is where we went on our maiden voyage. Despite calling last minute, our Creekwood hosts were as helpful and kind as ever and welcomed us for our fourth visit in 14 months to their oasis in north Georgia! What we liked about Creekwood the first time, is just as important now as then: They only have 17 RV spaces! Intimate, friendly, but private when you need to have time to yourselves. The state park is minutes away and all the great places in Helen just a few minutes further. Again, the hosts were terrific and they are what makes this place. We thank them for another terrific weekend. We camped at Creekwood Resort Campground & Cabins in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Unicoi and Anna Ruby Falls, Helen, especially Hofer's Restaurant and Bakery. Truly authentic German food and baked goods. We know. We lived in Germany for three years. Rib Country was terrific and you should look for times when they feature the whole hog and live music.

This is a small park with about 17 or 18 sites. The road is asphalt and the sites are concrete pads with a fire ring and picnic table. The table sits on a crushed stone patio. All sites are level, full hook up, and neat. Cable TV has about 50 channels and works great. The Wi-Fi works great at the picnic table, but in the TT is a bit iffier. There is no pull through sites. The owners take great care of the grounds and equipment. They are nice and even helped me change a flat tire on my TT. Caution: there is no playground for children and the owners are concerned about children damaging foliage and grounds. Children are welcome, but they must be well behaved. Warning: the GPS will tell you to turn right as soon as you enter Helen. There once was a road around Helen at one time, but now it is closed and a gated community is there. To get to the campground go through Helen on Hwy 75 and about a mile past Helen you will see the sign indicating a right turn to Unicoi State Park, that is your turn and Creekwood is about 5 miles out on the right. We stayed at this park twice. First I want to say the park is right on a two lane highway so you hear all the traffic especially motorcycles that often pass by. The owner is very controlling and will not let you park yourself. Maybe you should go somewhere else. We camped at Creekwood Resort Campground & Cabins in a Travel Trailer.

This is a small (17 sites) RV Resort with cabins. Owners are very nice, friendly and extremely helpful. You are guided to your site and helped with back-in. There is one way in and out so you have no traffic except your RV neighbors. All roads are paved and individual pads are concrete and very level. We had no trouble leveling our motorhome. Cable and WiFi are available and were good, although signal was sometimes weak. This park is out of the business of Helen, but close enough to many of the area attractions. All hookups worked great, We were very happy with our stay at Creekwood and would return again. We camped at Creekwood Resort Campground & Cabins in a Motorhome.

Arrived about 5 PM the day after Easter and was promptly met by one of the owners (owners are husband & wife). Another rig had arrived minutes before us, so the owners were busy getting them into their site. DW does most of the driving and today was no different. She liked how she was guided into the site and wants me to do it the same way from now on. As they were always working on some project, it is obvious the owners take pride in their ownership of this park. And, I think, they expect guests to reciprocate through their actions and attitudes. They are upfront about being a cash or check only park and with ATMs available in almost every store, I can't see where their preference of payment causes a problem.

We were going to spend a week, but DW, our two very young grandchildren, and me were all sick with hacking coughs and runny noses. One night I coughed so hard I fainted twice, the 2nd time scraping my arm on the table as I went down. This prompted us to head back home early. I found it very gracious that without ever being asked, owner refunded me the one night's tariff DW and I thought we would have to forfeit. If we are ever in this area again, we will stay here! We camped at Creekwood Resort Campground & Cabins in a Motorhome.

Very, very nice campground. Great location to visit northern Georgia and even close enough to go to Atlanta on a side trip. The roads are paved. The owner helped my husband back the RV into our spot. He said that her directions were great and he had no trouble getting the RV in its location. It was so peaceful here. We would definitely stay here again. We stayed here for 2 weeks so the rate averaged out to $39 per night. We camped at Creekwood Resort Campground & Cabins in a Motorhome.

We stayed here in July and enjoyed our stay. The park is the essence of the North Georgia mountains. Surrounded by tall pines and Mt. Laurels. There's a good mix of sun and shady sites. As noted in another post, you get some humidity in the mountains. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Helen is a short drive away as is many other state parks and recreation areas. I would love to stay here again. Be careful if you have a tow dolly; you'll need to unhook at the entrance due to steep grades. We camped at Creekwood Resort Campground & Cabins in a Motorhome.

We enjoyed the peace and quiet at this small park, but not much room to walk dogs and was unimpressed that they prefer cash or check and that there is a 3% charge a for credit cards. The park is clean and maintained, hosts are friendly. The area is gorgeous, even though it rained the whole stay, just don't drive through Helen to get there or you'll be stuck in traffic. Very scenic! We camped at Creekwood Resort Campground & Cabins in a Motorhome.
