We stayed for one night on our way north. I thought it would be fairly quiet, being about three miles off I-95, but there was constant loud traffic noise from the road. Facilities seemed to be a bit old and tired, including signage, picnic table, posts for water faucets, dog play area, and especially restrooms. I was not able to connect to the park's wi-fi. I would not stay here again. We camped at Savannah Oaks RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Other reviews gave a.good description of the park conditions. We were here for an overnight stop. Site 9T, next to the road, trash dumpsters, amd dump station (looked unused). The site required 4- 2"x6" boards to get level. No picnic table or fire ring. Electrical outlets are not covered or protected, no breaker (our site had a meter). Good water pressure, good cable signals, and OK wifi. I would have given one or two more rating points if out so called site had not been so sorry. Most of the sites around us looked to be long term use for people working in the area. We camped at Savannah Oaks RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Very run down and dirty. There was some kind of a water leak under our spot so the ground stayed wet. The spaces are very tight. There was a hole of water in the dog park that was filling with what looked like grey water. No we would not stay in this park again or recommend it. We camped at Savannah Oaks RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

This is an older campground located approximately 18 miles from downtown Savannah. The entrance is located at a gas station/convenience store. The office is located in the rear portion of the convenience store. Our site was located in the lower rear section of the campground. The site was a long pull thru, but was somewhat narrow. Hookups were conveniently located. Cable tv & wifi worked ok. While not the most convenient location to Savannah, we enjoyed the quieter rural location. We would probably stay here again on our next trip to Savannah. We camped at Savannah Oaks RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Looked like an older park with a lot of leaves on the ground. Gravel sites with hook ups in a decent spot. We were set up in the lower portion in a pull through but facing another rv who was very friendly. There was no point in setting up the sattelite dish as it was pretty heavily wooded. Looked in the bathroom/ shower and it looked very dated. There were some full time rvers there as well. We camped at Savannah Oaks RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

A rustic and quiet stay a few miles off I-95 on a country road. The park has several main areas. We stayed in the lower area which is heavily wooded and away from the main road, it was so quiet at night all we heard were the frogs and cicadias.

Parked under the giant oak and pine trees, it felt like we were in the middle of the woods. The park is dated and not a resort, but it is nice enough. The site we were on has been recently renovated. It used to be 2 back in sites that have been combined to form a very long - at least 75 feet - pull through. They have 10 or so sites like this for big motorhomes. In August there are few motorhomes and they usually stay only for one night so we had this section to ourselves. Around the outside of the campground are quite a few permanent residents. They were quiet and self contained. The tree cover made our dish unable to get signal. Soil is mostly sand and was tracked in everywhere. Sites were level. Roads in the campground are tight in spots and in need of resurfacing.

The people are very nice and helpful. No services for 4 miles except the gas station/convenience store at the campground entrance.

We would stay here again. The rates were half of the price of other campgrounds near the ocean. We camped at Savannah Oaks RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $36.00

We had stayed there a few years ago, and it was much better kept. We were there in July and there were still leaves on the ground from the fall. Site was a pull-through, 50 amp, with cable service, fairly level but extremely narrow. We couldn't have the slides out and be able to put out the awning. If we were going to be there for more than 1 night I would have asked to move. Staff was extremely helpful with check-in and guidance to the site. For a one night stay I would stay again but for more than that I'd look elsewhere. We camped at Savannah Oaks RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Older camp, in a pinewood forest, a couple miles off I95. Frequent road noise from passing vehicles at all hours. Friendly check-in, escorted to site. 30A Pedestal had no circuit breaker I could see, it was just "live". Kinda odd. Site was fairly large, but required two Lego blocks to level. Good for a night or two, I suppose. We camped at Savannah Oaks RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

We have stayed here before to visit the Savannah area. It has stayed pretty much the same. Dirt roads, some full time residents, sites fairly level, with lots of Oak trees, that can be messy different times of the year. But we find it nice and quiet for a rustic type of campground. The first site we were given had a new electric post, and it didn't have a correct ground, so we called the office and moved to a different site. Wi-fi and cable adequate. There is a dog park, and a walk down to a canoe/kayak put in. This park has a very rural feel, but works for us to visit the area. We would stay here again. Tips for other Campers:

Close to Savannah and Tybee Island to drive to. The trolley from Savannah will come pick you up at the campground if you wish. There is also pet sitting available, but we didn't use it. There is a gas station as you drive in, but no other shopping close by

Convenient location for touring Savannah and area. Quiet park. Sites are long enough, fairly level, BUT VERY narrow with barely enough room for slide outs and awning between rigs. Roads are mostly potholes. Very dated... needs a complete overhaul. Definitely NOT a RESORT! Very heavily treed and little chance for sunshine. One positive point is the girl who checked us in was efficient and very pleasant. We will NOT stay here again. We camped at Savannah Oaks RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We were traveling with Adventure Caravans on a paid tour so I am not certain about the nightly rate.

Honestly do not remember our nightly rate. We stayed for 5 nights. This is a nice rustic looking park. Very transient as we had new neighbors either every day or site next to us was empty. The sites are level easy pull thrus, with decent spacing. Workers are constantly cleaning and emptying trash. They have a nice pier/ dock onto the Ogeechee River. We were near the road and although normally not much traffic, in the morning the traffic noise forced me to close my window to block it out. Very good location. We camped at Savannah Oaks RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Easy drive to Savannah. The trolley tour is a good deal and recommend doing it. However the ghost tour is cheesy and not worth it. Savannah is a great town to just walk around all the squares.

Mrs. Wilkes is a must-do for lunch. You do have to wait a while to get in, but you will be glad you did when you roll yourself out after all of that food. I think we counted 23 different items served and they just keep refilling the bowls as needed.

We would not classify this campground as a "resort" but rather, a relatively average rustic campground. The sites are long and mostly level but they consist of sand and dirt. It appears that most people, other than the long-term residents, use this as a one-night stop-over. The attached store is well-stocked and there is a small gas station adjacent to the store. This is not a resort but an average campground that falls more into the Passport America category than the Good Sam designation. It fills a need but isn't great. We stayed at this park right off I95 at the end of their snowbird season (middle of May). It's convenient to everything, but we felt the park was a little bit run down and in need of some closer attention.

The attendant was quite cheerful and thank goodness he showed us where to park, because the numbers on each site seriously need to be repainted. The sites are not completely level and ours was mostly sandy with some gravel. When we first pulled in, we had some close neighbors, but they left the next morning.

We had no picnic table. Adequate WiFi and cable TV. We camped at Savannah Oaks RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
