We stayed for 3 nights from April 17 to April 20, 2018. The weather was awesome with clear skies and a persistent NW wind that kept things wonderful. The views from our site included the entire lake and not much else - it was perfect. The park is small and some of the turns are a bit tight but we made it around without issue (Outback 328rl). There are lots of hiking trails and kayaks are available for rental. The entire park is large and has an excellent area to hold something like a church youth mission trip in an area that has multiple cabins, a cook house, and even a place for church services. There are two bathrooms in the camping area proper - one older and one newer. The newer one is very nice. The older one is older but it has hot water, it is clean and the toilets work!! Hey - you are camping - who cares if the bathroom is older. There is an excellent dog park near the ranger station that has areas for both large and small dogs with plenty of fresh water and toys provided. We did a fair amount of geo-caching on some of the trails but someone before us had done an impressive job of really hiding the caches well. be prepared to really look and bring a poking stick!! We will come back. - Sam Thurmond

Very nice park, yet we chose a bad spot in opinion. Narrow back in spot, no view, treed so no satellite. If I was to stay again it would be on the lake, everything is open and the view is great! Other than that is a good park. Over the air TV is marginal, no wifi. Very clean and neat.. Booked for three days but stayed for one day only...Reason just didn't like my site. Was full so no moving.... - Caseysplace

This is a very nice park located on a lake admits tall Georgia pine trees about 10 miles for Waycross, Georgia. The check in experience was pleasant and staff members very helpful. Interior roads are paved and can be a little tight to navigate is places. The sites are very big gravel pads with nice picnic tables and fire rings. No close neighbors here, there is lots of room between sites. No Wi-Fi, cable or sewage hookup. Off air TV stations were limited to shopping channels and Georgia public TV. Verizon cell service was good with 3 /5 bars. There is also a very good golf course in the park located about 2.5 miles from the campground. The water had an odd taste with strong chlorine smell even after filtering with our charcoal filter. We used bottle water for cooking and coffee. Bath houses were OK, a little dated but OK. The closest store is in Waycross about 10 miles away so bring what you need. Also, there is no pool or swimming in the lake. Overall this is a clean well maintained park with a very good environment for campers and we can recommend a visit. - bamawig
