Some storm related campers from the hurricane that hit recently. Busier than usual. New washer- dryers at the remodeled laundry. Nice at $1.25 load. Quite enough but the roads are close. Portable dish got signal between the trees. Will stay again and tour around Thomasville. We camped at Sugar Mill RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

Very hospitable, caring owner. We had a breakdown, so our arrival was delayed by 3 days but they kept a spot open for us. Think "laid back" Southern hospitality that's caring and responsive. Park full of trees, rustic charm. Don't worry about lack of well-defined parking spots; ground is level & you feel like you're nestled in the pines. Almost all spots are back-ins; we needed a pull-through so she put us in one that allows you to pull through another space onto the park road if there's no one else parked opposite you. Bathrooms have private, lockable toilet/shower combos (very convenient). Some have tubs. Totally enjoyable place to camp. The spaces might be a bit close together, but may be a function of the spaces not being specifically defined. It's more true campground than the usual concrete pads allow you to experience. Will gladly stay here again. Only one drawback - WiFi badly needs boosters & speed upgrade. Hard to keep an internet signal. Had to hot-spot from my cell phone. We camped at Sugar Mill RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Thomasville - the South's City of Roses. Check out the rose garden at Cherokee Park. Wonderful restaurants: Jonah's Fish & Grits, Liam's cheese shop and restaurant, Sweetgrass cheese shop and restaurant, Farmer's Market diner, Sweet & Sassy Sisters (in converted train depot), SoHo, many others. Performing arts group has international reputation, as do plantation home tours. Tourism bureau is super helpful.

Found this park after leaving Florida/Tampa area---were originally only going to stay overnight but decided to extend for a few days. So glad we did as this is a beautiful park---older, yes but well maintained. Sites are mostly level, grassy, hard packed soil with full hook-ups. Wonderful Georgia pines throughout the park, 3 ponds with wildlife everywhere---owners and staff very courteous and helpful. Would recommend for overnight or longer. Thomasville about 8 miles south with shopping and rich southern history. We camped at Sugar Mill RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

This location is really starting to show its age. Enough for an overnight. Lots of shade and pick your site. Quiet. Laundry needed housekeeping.

Plenty of space to walk the dog. With the a/c running I only got 104 volts. I ran the frig and water heater on gas to conserve power. We camped at Sugar Mill RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here to visit friends in Thomasville, the park has many permanent rigs, but the place is well kept and clean. Utilities and laundry worked well. Sites were sand and fairly level. Overall, a good place for overnight. We were in a 38' Motorhome. We camped at Sugar Mill RV Park in a Motorhome.

Was surprised at check in to be told to go to a certain area and 'pick a spot'. Area flat grass under tall pines. FHU, dirt roads. 4 washers and dryers. WiFi was a joke...very iffy and we were only 4 spots from the office. Do not camp by any of the 3 ponds..potential for flooding. We're not told about any activities mentioned in their brochure! This is a nice, quiet park. The owner is very helpful and does her best to help where needed. There are a few permanent residents there but they are well kept units. Laundry families are clean and although the machines are older, they clean well. She is doing improvements constantly. We camped at Sugar Mill RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

About 6 miles north of Thomasville. No cable and no pool. A pool would sure be nice this time of year. Some sites shaded and my dish could see out. Nice size library. Gnats were horrible with all the rain. OK for short stay. We camped at Sugar Mill RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Friendly staff, easy access to campground and sites. 15 minutes to Thomasville, GA. Hard grass ground site with some shady sites. Had no trees at our site so had easy satellite access. Would stay here again. We camped at Sugar Mill RV Park in a Motorhome.

Nice park with shaded and unshaded sites. Most sites on firm grass area with a few paved sites. Good wifi, electricity, water & sewer. Interior roads mostly crushed grave and in good condition. Good facilities for rally groups, i.e, club house with kitchen and dining area as well a a pool table. No swimming pool. Only negative is Hwy 19 traffic can be distracting but not a huge problem. We would recommend for overnight or longer term for visiting Thomasville Ochlocknee area. We camped at Sugar Mill RV Park in a Motorhome.

A nice park with fairly large sites. The people were friendly, the interior roads were pretty good, and the internet access was good. The laundry facilities were reasonably priced, and they were clean. The sites were easy to enter. We stayed here a week, and we would stay here again. We had stayed at this park before and were very disappointed this time. We stayed in the front circle, and we found the sites and roads filled with ruts. These roads are unpaved and during any rain they would be nothing but mud. The Wi-Fi was very weak and unusable most of the time, even though we were close to the office. Granted we did not travel to the back part of the park, which may have been nice, but this review is based on the site that we were given, which I felt was NOT worth the $29 cost. The road noise was a little troublesome but it did ease off around midnight. This park has a lot of trees which may interfere with satellite reception. The sites in the front circle are sort of randomly placed and some are very close. The cable did work OK and the electric was fine. I guess this park would be OK for an overnight stay, which is what we did, but for the cost, we will NOT visit this park again. We camped at Sugar Mill RV Park in a Motorhome.
