This is a great little KOA outside of Chattanooga that is convenient to Lookout Mountain and all of the cool things there (Ruby Falls, Rock City, etc.) The landscaping is really nicely done and the park itself is quiet and beautiful. There is a hiking trail around the park (probably about a mile in total), an arcade, pool, outdoor games, and a big playground with a bounce pillow. Roads were gravel but easily accommodated our 40 foot RV. There are also some really neat little cabins for rent. Each site seemed to have a picnic table and fire ring. Some of the sites have been taken to the next level with very cool rock sitting areas and one even had a neat fence that surrounded an outdoor dining table with chairs. I'm not sure if these are special sites (there were only 2-3 of them) but they were really cool. Our site (20) didn't have a great outside area - it was sloped and there was a huge stump there but I assume its something they are working on clearing out. Staff was totally excellent and the young gentleman who checked us in on Sunday had some great recommendations on things to do around the area. The camp store was outstanding and very well stocked. Definitely one of the best KOA's that we've ever stayed in. We camped at Lookout Mtn. / Chattanooga West KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There is an old style drive-in movie theater less than a mile away. If you like minor league baseball the Chattanooga Lookouts are a fun team to watch downtown. Rock City and Ruby Falls are spectacular. We did a lantern tour of Ruby falls late at night which was fantastic.

Staff-Helpful Location-Close to Chattanooga & attractions. Wooded Trail-Could use some clearing and more defined paths. Jump Pillow-Fun for kids but extremely dirty. Kids were filthy after playing on it. WiFi-hit&miss Playground-Could use an updated playset. Site#52-Unlevel but longer site compared to others. Sunny spot. Just know that this site is a cut through for kids to playground even though the entrance is on down and there is a make shift fence. Dog Park-Great area with two separate dog areas. Water dish didn't work. We camped at Lookout Mtn. / Chattanooga West KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

We were here during one of their Halloween weekend events. Stayed on site 56, which has a deck. Very nice site. Backs up to the jumping pillow and park. Great site if you have kids with you. Nice pool area, however it was closed for the season. Excited to visit again. Thanks for a great long weekend. Concrete slabs would be great instead of the gravel but this doesn't keep me from returning. Park is well maintained. We camped at Lookout Mtn. / Chattanooga West KOA in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here for 6 nights and really enjoyed our stay. This campground is a few minutes off of I59 but still very convenient to Chattanooga. The owners take a lot of pride as it is clean and the well taken care of. The bath houses are very clean but could use some modernization. If we are in the area again, we will definitely stay here again. We camped at Lookout Mtn. / Chattanooga West KOA in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here over Memorial Day weekend with our daughter and 3 granddaughters ages 6,6, and 11. We chose this CG due to the proximity to our home & the amount of activities for the kids as this was their first camping experience. The staff was very nice and accommodating and the CG has a salt water pool, gem mining, jumping pillow and hiking trails. It is a bit off the main highway, but a nice quiet location, especially for touring Chattanooga. The TV had only 10 channels and the wifi was so-so. It was obvious that the owners take pride in keeping the grounds neat. We enjoyed our stay here. We camped at Lookout Mtn. / Chattanooga West KOA in a Motorhome.

The campground is located off I-59, but far enough away to prevent traffic noise. It is convenient to Lookout Mountain and Chattanooga, which is why we selected it. The staff was helpful and friendly. We were not escorted to our site, but it was within sight of the office. Facilities were typical KOA, but adequate for our needs. The laundry facilities were very good. WiFi was slow. Sites were gravel and reasonably level. We would camp here again, but would look at other campgrounds near Chattanooga since we've now done Lookout Mountain. We camped at Lookout Mtn. / Chattanooga West KOA in a Motorhome.

Campground was ok for an overnight. Pretty good ride from interstate but well marked, just follow the signs. We had a pull thru site but was blocked by someone who came in late and parked in a pull thru that blocked us from hooking up our truck. With a lot of maneuvering we were able to hook up and back out of our site. Very limited cable channels. Quite a few full timer there. We would stay again but in a different site. You cannot draw 30 amps from the so-called 30 amp service. Park states it has 30 amp service and any other campground I have been to I have been able to use everything at the same time in my RV, not so at this campground. Paying for 30 amp but cannot run everything on the 30 amp as I have at other KOAs.

Sites are very cramped and the noise from the train nearby keeps you from getting a good nights sleep. Ground uneven is very uneven so you have to use levelers on your rig.

Way too expensive for the service given. We camped at Lookout Mtn. / Chattanooga West KOA in a Motorhome.

We only spent one night here as a stopover, but this was a really nice KOA. My son used the showers and said they were very nice with plenty of hot water. We loved the cute signs they had leading up to the park. It's not exactly right off the interstate, but if you're looking to get away from the highway noise and enjoy being in a more remote area, this place will be great for you. And it's truly not THAT far, haha! We just didn't realize it would be quite that far off the interstate. The Wi-Fi worked just fine, and everything was easy as far as after hours check-in and early morning check out was concerned. I would stay here again, but hopefully for a longer stay next time. We camped at Lookout Mtn. / Chattanooga West KOA in a Motorhome.

Very nice campground with friendly and helpful staff. Followed KOA directions to the campground. We've learned not to rely on GPS for any campground directions. Our site had a wooden deck which was very pleasant to use and overlooked the valley. Even on the weekend date we were there, there were lots of people but overall it was quiet. The layout of the campground is a little unusual to say the least; it's more like a maze. So either ask for an escort or be care you don't miss any turns. Getting into some sites requires some maneuvering and attention. We would not hesitate to stay here again. Lots of playground activities for the kids. We stop at this KOA a lot on our travels. It is very convenient off the interstate. It is very clean with beautiful views! The staff is amazing!!! We highly recommend this as a one night stopover on your way to wherever your travels are taking you or a great vacation stop. It is in a great location with Chattanooga just down the road and some great sites to visit, like beautiful state parks and even Little River Canyon not to far. So many places close by, it makes a great central place to stay to see all the beautiful sites in this area!! Also the park itself has so much for kids too! Even if you just want to stay in the KOA, you will enjoy hiking there and beautiful views. Great place to RELAX! We always enjoy our time at this wonderful KOA! You can do LOTS in Chattanooga! The Aquarium there is amazing! There is Desoto and Cloudland Canyon State parks to visit. Also, it is very worth the drive to see Little River Canyon! You will find so much to do in this area you will want to visit this KOA often so you can see all the sites in this area. This KOA is a great staging area for the whole area! Plus, the KOA itself is awesome all by itself!

The host was very friendly and the campground was very quiet could barely hear the interstate traffic and an occasional train whistle. But nothing extraordinary. The WiFi was about ordinary for most KOA's and Verizon Wireless worked well in the park. We did think it was kind of unusual that the camp store closed at around 6 PM. Rate is approximate. This is an older but well maintained KOA way back in the heavily wooded hills about 15 miles from Chattanooga. Some of the friendliest, most helpful staff we've ever experienced. They really are trying for the family-camping market, and this is a nice place to bring the kids to let them blow off steam. But for an RV tourist wanting to "do" Chattanooga it's pretty inconvenient to town. The park's other main limitations are painfully slow wifi, sorta-level sites and very limited (though cable) TV. We camped at Lookout Mtn. / Chattanooga West KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Do not use GPS to find this park. It will not take you anywhere near the park. It is a typical KOA. It is difficult to find and is not right off the interstate. The owner/manager was very apologetic about the GPS sending us in the opposite direction. She said that this had happened frequently. There appeared to be some permanent residents but the park was clean and quiet. The wi-fi doesn't work very well and the cable had very limited channel selections. We were there for only one night as we were enroute to NC. We camped at Lookout Mtn. / Chattanooga West KOA in a Motorhome.

This is a wonderful campground located just outside of Chattanooga. We have stayed is four times in the last eight years. Just be careful to reserve this one and not the one in Ringold, GA. The owners are very accommodating. Some sites are better than others. I'm not a fan of how KOA lets you reserve a category and not a specific site. However, most of the sites are just fine. The pool is excellent here and the owners clearly work hard a making improvements. I will definitely return here again. We camped at Lookout Mtn. / Chattanooga West KOA in a Motorhome.
