The spaces are close, but its on an island so you would expect that. We had fairly good wifi at the site and cell service was great-(we have ATT). The sites are gravel and mostly level. They ask for your camper measurements and find a suitable size site based on that. We did not have an assigned site prior to arrival. We camped at River's End Campground & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Bring your bikes. Great way to get around the island. Parking is pay everywhere on the island.

River's End is quite nice overall, paved paths, mostly tree-covered with old oaks and pines, with coarse white gravel as site material (which we think was wonderful), picnic table, fire ring/grill combo, good utilities, cable, and so-so Wi-Fi, with good Verizon signal. It's also close to the lighthouse, the beach, and other sights (but still a good idea to rent a golf cart, or use your bike, if you want to see the entire island). They have a dog park, great store, TV/lounge area, fitness center, laundry room, private bathroom/showers, beautiful pool -- everything was spic and span --and the staff were friendly and always busy cleaning, trimming, etc. Cable channel selection wasn't great. Our site (#25) was mostly level and all the neighbors were nice. Propane and firewood were available for purchase. We have a small 26-motorhome and had no trouble, but we saw a lot of big rigs having to use a lot of finesse to get into their spots. Sites are close together, but did not feel crowded because we had a larger-than-normal gap to our starboard side. There was a lot of activity (RVers coming in/out for short stays) but it wasn't too bothersome. We very much enjoyed our week there and would visit again, but it was a bit pricey. We camped at River's End Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Small C/G. Had to disconnect tow vehicle at office. Tight spaces. Gravel (mostly level) sites. Picnic table, fire ring (didn't use-too close to the people beside us). Fenced in dog park for 20lb or less dogs. Ours were over the weight limit, but it didn't seem to be used very much. We used it it a lot and were never told to vacate premises. C/G staff escort you to your spot, and deliver wood, etc. to your site. Highly recommend renting a golf cart to see the island or ride bicycle. $2/hr parking everywhere on the island. Walking distance to beaches as mentioned in previous reviews. Bath house needs updating, but was clean. Didn't use pool, too cold at the time. It was also clean. Would stay here again. We camped at River's End Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Rent a golf cart: they will come get you for the rental process. Traveled to Savannah (private car). Miniature golf/batting cages over the bridge. Ate at Stingrays for seafood dinner one night on the island: very good.

This campground is on the north end of the Tybee Island. The spaces are very close to each other. Lots of big trees covered with Spanish moss. The campground staff was super nice and accommodating. They even escort you to your space and help you into the site. We had full hookups including cable T.V. The campground store sells firewood, propane and all the little things that you forgot. The campground WiFi was very slow and almost unusable. This campground is owned by the city of Tybee Island and they were making landscaping improvements while we were there. It's a pretty nice place to stay and very convenient to the rest of the island. We will go back. We camped at River's End Campground & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

We rented a golf cart right there at the campground and used it to travel around the island. If you use your vehicle, they charge you $2 per hour to park anywhere on the island. I guess it's their way to milk the tourists.

This C/G is in a nice location but it is extremely tight ....with VERY narrow roads and tight turns. Lots of low tree branches and not big rig friendly at all. Staff was very friendly and accommodating . Pool was in need of a good cleaning but usable. We where there during a heavy down pour and the lower sites & roads all got flooded and became a muddy MESS. There is a section when you first enter the park that is ALL tents and messy ( tent city )......and gives a bad first impression. Most sites are fairly level with good utilities in the correct location ( for pull-in sites ) Free Wifi is typically slow but manageable. Over all its an average park. We would visit again if we ever return to Tybee Island. We camped at River's End Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

This was a nice campground. The spots where tight some dirt some crushed rock. It backs up to a dump but can't smell it from our site (61) nice clean big pool. Beach is a .7 mile walk not to bad but go early morning. The river end beach is .3 mile walk. Half of it is a sand walk path shaded. They do weekend events it seems movies etc. If you want full shade I recommend lots 65-66 93-97 32, 33, 41, 39, 40,

Cabins look really nice, too. The store on site has anything and almost everything. Staff very helpful and kind. We camped at River's End Campground & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Huck-a-poos is amazing, Sunday restaurant excellent, lots of good choices. The local IGA has the best priced fresh shrimp. Bike ride to lots of restaurants.

Agree with some previous reviews ~ the sites are very tight and you're right on top of you neighbor. For the price this place really needs an update ~ especially the restroom - shower facility. We don't have restroom or shower in our trailer and so rely on campground facility. We were very disappointed especially considering this is a Good Sam Park and rated a 9.5 for restroom ~ we totally disagree and would rate it in the 6 range. We will not be back - will look for another campground for next years visit. We camped at River's End Campground & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Tour all of Savannah's "squares" and be sure to take in the waterfront walk.

Roads are narrow but in good shape with no sharp turns. Trees well trimmed. Sites are pretty close to one another. Some sites pretty unlevel but workable. Power ok. Wifi mostly very good. Cable, some channels good, others bad. We camped at River's End Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

About 16 miles from Savannah. Nice beaches.

This campground was recommended to us. We were placed in a site that seemed to be all permanent setups, specifically next to one very poorly maintained travel trailer with an incredibly nice couple living in it. The campground itself is a little tight, but I'm 53 ft bumper to bumper and I made it work without too much work. The campground was quiet at night, and was a 7 minute quick walk to the beach! The island had many fun things to do, which made this campground a great choice. Driving through downtown Savannah to get to Tybee should be avoided at all costs if possible because the lanes are narrow, with huge trees very close to the passenger side of the vehicle, and oncoming 18 wheelers in the inner middle lanes with no dividers. We ate at a place very close to the campground called Cocos and it was the best seafood I've had in a long time. The site was level, the specific area we were was all gravel (but not the whole campground), I didn't use the pool, bathhouses, or any other facilities on the property. There was a dog park being built next door. The police station is 2 minute walk away from the campground. Many sites were shaded.Overall the campground was nice, and the location was perfect for us. We camped at River's End Campground & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Nice campground right on Tybee Island. Lots to see right on the island and Savannah is close by. Parking fees everywhere on the island and in Savannah. Sites are a bit close on crushed stone. From what we could see about 50% are not very level...ours wasn't. Laundry was clean and all machines seemed to be in working order. $2.75 for wash and $2.00 to dry, so I only did one load to get us by. Campfires permitted - buy wood from them to prevent diseases or bugs. We would camp here again. We camped at River's End Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Camped in 45 foot motor home. Drive to park from I-16 takes you through downtown with some low tree limbs. If your rig is tall, be careful to pick the highest clearance lane. Also, the four lanes are tight, but doable. The 15 miles on the Island Expressway is easy. If your rig is long, suggest you unhook toad before entering the park. We stayed in a more expensive premium site. Interior roads are paved. Sites and drives are crushed shell. Your neighbor will be close. All utilities worked great. Satellite TV was no problem from our site. Verizon cell had 5 bars. Free park Wi-Fi was very fast at all times. There are some shaded sites, if you desire. We camped at River's End Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

River's End Campground on Tybee Island was nice and very quiet. Roads are paved, sites are crushed stone. Many sites will accommodate the largest rigs with pull through ease. There is quite a bit of shade even though our satellite was able to lock on easily. The sites were laid out in an esthetically pleasing arrangement, not just all in several long lines. The pool looks nice although we did not try it out. We stayed shortly after school had started back up, so it might be busier before then, but when we were there is was not too crowded. The closest "beach" is along a river, not on the ocean. To get to the ocean beaches you must use the public beaches in town about 1/2 mile away. PAID PARKING throughout town, even on weekends and nights! I believe parking tickets may be a significant revenue stream for the town. Approx. 12 mile drive past Savannah through the marshes to Tybee Island. This is a pleasant drive although it could get congested in a hurry during "rush hour". The biggest problem is to get there you have to pass directly through down town Savannah. With a passenger car, no problem, although somewhat congested. In a large MH with a toad, I hope you are a good driver. I did not have a problem, but I can see where some drivers would. Overall I would return for the quiet solitude we experienced while here. We camped at River's End Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

We really liked the campground and will probably visit again. Some of the sites are really tight. Some of the sites along the CG edge are bordered by a road with no barrier. The road is well traveled, so there is a lot of noise. Wifi is available, but I could not log onto it. Bathrooms were clean; a little old, but clean. The beach lighthouse is within walking distance. We camped at River's End Campground & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
