Apr 2018 - $50.00
A little out of the way for a one or two night stay, but well laid out. Newer, nice amenities. Good site spacing, concrete pads, double sewer connections and pretty views of the rolling country side next door. - Steve Vanleigh 375FL
Apr 2018 - $45.00
We stayed here for one night. It was easy to get to. The CG has very nice, super level sites. We were on a concrete pad that was a pull through. It was large enough to accommodate our 40' rig. We didn't have a toad but there was more than enough length for truck. We saw many larger MHs with toads on similar sites. It was super quite. They have 2x daily trash pick up. Very nice staff. We didn't get to use the pool due to weather; it looked very nice. There is so much to see and do in the area. We will be back. - HitNdaRd

Pine Mountain RV Resort is approximately 15 miles south of Lagrange, GA. If coming from the West your GPS will tell you to exit prior to reaching Lagrange and you will have to take back roads. Continue on to Lagrange and take the exit for HWY 27. The park is on HWY 27. The perimeter road is asphalt, inside roads are crushed stone and the site has a long concrete pad. Most sites are pull through and full hook up. This is a very nice park and clean. Each site has a table and a fire ring. The store has limited items, but Walmart is only 15 miles away. The cable TV is excellent, but the Wi-Fi is almost non existent. The pool and hot tub are clean and very neat. There is a nice dog walking park. The summer home of Franklin Roosevelt, where he died, is about 10 miles away. A very nice animal safari park is 3 miles away and Callaway Gardens is 5 miles away. We were quite satisfied with the park and would stay there again. - Alabama Jim

Dec 2017 - $28.00
Ramsey's RV Park is a nice little place. The owner is very nice. We were scheduled to arrive before closing time but had problems with our trailer. We called and he instructed us on what to do upon arrival. There are front pull through sites that do sit somewhat close to each other. But we didn't plan on staying in the park other than sleeping at night so this wasn't a problem for us. Seems like there was more sites around back of the office but we didn't ever go around so I'm not sure. There is a pool that looks very clean and inviting but it's December so that was a no go for us. The sites we saw were all clean, grassy and level. All in all it's a nice small place away from everything but still close enough. I'm only giving 9 because of the close sites. But other than that it's a great place to stay. It's an older park but the new owner is making upgrades frequently. Would stay again! - Stephanie McCall
Jul 2017 - $28.00
This is the second time we stayed here. The host was very nice and helpful. It appears that most of the sites are pull thru's with both shady and open sites. Very convenient to Greenville for visiting family. We would stay here again. - Sleeps Two
Nov 2016 - $28.00
Ramsey RV park is a older family run park that is just outside of Warm Springs. It was a pleasure staying here and there were four motor homes traveling together that enjoyed the stay.
The owners are very friendly and we felt very welcome here.
Most sites are grassy , the restrooms are older but very clean and we will be back. - riopreto

Apr 2018 - $30.00
This is a really nice state park. As others have noted, although you can reserve a site by size (i.e., "40 ft site"), actually selecting the site is first-come, first-served. If you are in something medium-large, like our 36' class A, I would either go straight to loop 5 or tour the other loops in something other than your RV. Loop 5 has the largest sites and is the easiest to navigate. The other loops are closer to the lake, but we found Loop 5 to be nicer. Also, we found a nice, large, level back-in site, but several of the "pull-through" sites are really steep and tight to enter. Drive through the entire loop before selecting a site. All in all, a very nice park in a beautiful setting. - Jagnweiner

It's hard to find information for tenters like us for this park...so to all of you tent campers, this one's for you! We stayed in site 202 (25 ft). This was a decent site with a bit of treed view of the lake, but nice enough. Our large 12 person tent easily fit into the space. The fire pit and picnic table we're right out side our door! Next door were the volunteer hostesses - they were amazing. Nice, available and accommodating (wood $5 per bundle, ice $2.50 per bag). The trading post is only open on weekends (Fri - Sun). Back to the site description. We camped Tday weekend so it got pretty full pretty fast. There are mostly RV'ers this time of year, but there were at least 15 or so tenters that we saw. We realized that some 15ft sites would've been fine, but since its first come first serve and you have a large tent, I would go for a RED site. Also, try to have an idea where those red-25 foot tent sites are - there were more yellow sites (40 ft) than anything else. We drove around the loops a couple of times and there weren't many reds. I wish their maps identified where red was. Some sites are rocky (behind the trading post). Some 15 ft sites were right on the water a 4-8 person tent would fit no problem. The park was awesome...nice medium-short hikes - super duper friendly folks. Bathrooms were clean, but showers didn't operate that well. We still loved it there and would go back. My only dislike was the lack of environmental friendly practices. Purchased wood came in plastic bags and there was no recycling. A big bummer for this enviro gal. Even though the park was pretty full, everyone was very courteous especially at bed time for our thin walls! So there you have it... :) Hope this helps. - Movie2Max
Aug 2017 - $25.00
We stayed 3 nights in # 304 with the grandkids. What a wonderful area and park. Very shady spots, great hiking and very close (7 minutes) to Callaway Gardens. The park itself has lots of stuff to do for kids and adults alike. A beautiful pool is nearby ( although it's too far to walk). We are definitely coming back. - Dutchlady

Oct 2017 - $35.00
Just opened in March 2017. Site says full hookup, but that's not accurate....there's no sewer hookup. There are 6 sites and 6 cabins. The park is beautiful with a pretty river, some hills and lots of trees. It kind of looked like they will be building more campsites in the future. We were in site 12 which was ok until there were occupants in 11 and 10. Got much tighter then! I would recommend staying in 1-3 as those sites seemed to be laid out better. There is a little bit of a lack of "supervision" from staff. Kind of a free for all which is ok until you have a site with a travel trailer plus 3 vehicles and a total of 6 people and a big dog. That was a little much. It would be nice if there was more of a staff presence. Oh and all of the sites say ADA compatible....I really don't think that's a fair statement. It's all gravel and hilly. We got great AT&T and T-Mobile cellular coverage and LOTS of OTA TV channels! Overall it was a great place to spend a couple of nights. The first night it was just us and people in one cabin. Peaceful bliss! - doggpurr

Jan 2008 - $20.00
Hard to say whether this place is friendly. We never saw a soul. Just signs telling us where to drop our money. We called the phone number posted, but the woman who answered was nowhere near this place and knew nothing. So we deducted the Good Sam discount since they advertise on their own sign and in Trailer Life as a Good Sam park and dropped the resulting $20 in the box. There's no reason to ever come back. If the trains persist, there will be a good reason to stay away. The rumble actually shakes the motorhome slightly, and the whistle is louder than we like to have the television volume. I agree that the banners with the Bible verses are over the top considering the contrast between what they imply and the complete indifference these people seem to have to the people from whom they want to take money. It won't be us again! - woodman
Feb 2007 - $17.00
Hoofer's is the most non-hospitable RV campground we have encountered in 30 years of road travel. We phoned ahead to make sure the place was open for business. The phone was answered, "Gospel Barn." I asked if this was the correct number for the RV park and was told yes. The person on the phone volunteered no information, and sounded as though she was annoyed at having been interrupted. It was easy enough to find the place, but there was absolutely nobody around to greet us, do registration, whatever. At the gate, we found a stack of registration forms that had been left out in the weather, with instructions to fill one out and put it in an ordinary tin mailbox, along with our payment. Never mind that we prefer to use credit cards, and we certainly were not going to leave a check under the circumstances. The sites, such as they are, are laid out in rows in a big open area. Since the roads were gravel, becoming overgrown, there was no way to know if any of them were pull-throughs. Because we were tired, we made camp in spite of our misgivings. We watched half a dozen others come in the gate and go through the same confusing process we did. A few truckloads of workers showed up, but it appeared they were a painting crew, just using one of the sheds on the place for storage. I have never spent the night on a Wal-mart parking lot, but I am certain I'd get a better welcome there. Bible verses posted here and there on banners were actually offensive in the context of this we-don't-give-a-damn management. I suppose you could call it salvation by post-It notes, but the place showed no evidence of anyone caring about anything other than the money they expected to collect on the occasion of their gospel or bluegrass concerts. I will drive out of my way to avoid this place in the future. - Stan47

Dec 2012 - $11.00
Terrible! Pulled in and couldn't find anyone. Phone call only connected to answering machine. Drove into the site area and asked a man in one of the other four rigs if there was a host or employee around. He stated that a young kid just escorted him to a site less than five minutes prior. We walked back to the house/office and were finally successful in getting the kid to come out and take our money. We were especially excited about the 40 dimes we received as change! The grassy sites very unlevel. Water pressure low. Electrical boxes in bad shape. Sewer "broken" in the site we were offered. Trash was strewn all around and it appeared someone had recently used our site as a burn pit. We thought that it would at least be a quiet, country experience, but no...trains and traffic noise was significant. $11 was PA rate and still about $6 overpriced. If you're considering stopping...don't! - Full-Time Roamers
May 2012 - $22.00
Don't bother going to this campground. It is terrible. When we arrived, there was nobody around and we just wandered about and waited. Tried telephoning them but only got voice mail. Eventually a young boy arrived having just got off the school bus! He told us to just go anywhere. Well to cut a long story short we didn't bother staying. The sites were disgusting, over grown and very uneven. We could not get anywhere near level and I was getting attacked by bugs. After several attempts to get level we decided to leave. There is no bath house and no laundry. Overall this is the worst site I have ever been on. - YTTAB
Dec 2011 - $20.00
The signs are still posted along the freeway, but the owner does not seem to care whether he gets any business. When I called about site availability, he answered the phone with "Yeah?". On arrival, there was no office and he came out and took our cash as I was ready to drive away. Sites are very uneven, and poorly marked. Pull-throughs require navigating through a muddy, open field. There were a few sites with nice, level concrete pads, but they were sticking up 8 inches above the ground and had no way to get an RV on them. We won't go back. - glsurratt

We stay at this campground four or five times a year and love it. The host(s) are always very helpful and friendly. The facilities are always clean and in good order. The pads are always clean. This is our favorite place to camp. - BrentGreene
Apr 2013 - $20.00
We love this park. The park is in Central time and the office is on Eastern time, so have to pay attention when the gate is locked. We stayed by the lake but there are other sites that are good too. There's fishing and water activities and a small playground for the kids. It's well worth the trip to stay. Be sure you have groceries--it's a few miles to get to nearest food source. - jimdee
Aug 2008 - $18.00
This park is within 30 minutes from our home, and this was our first camping trip there. We came in on Thursday afternoon and there were only 6 other campers there. Our site was a fairly isolated, very shady spot. We did not stay directly on the water, but had a great view all the same. This campground is great if you are not looking for lots to do. Fishing and boating are the main attractions here. There was a small playground though the woods but otherwise, nothing else for kids to do. The hosts were very nice and helpful. We attend church nearby, and were not sure if we would make the 1:00 checkout time. We checked with the camp hosts on Sunday morning and found that our site was not reserved for that day, so we were allowed to take our time leaving. Also, we visited the campground ahead of time and rode through to find the sites we liked before making reservations. One other thing to note is that they are not set up to take credit cards, but will take personal checks as well as cash. Even though we left past the checkout time, we sat in line at the dump station for at least 30 minutes. We enjoyed our trip, and would come again for a quick weekend. - kjh
