Very nice and quiet campground. Close to Okefenokee Swamp Refuge. Very nice and informative people to deal with. Highly recommended. - Chittenden
Jun 2016 - $19.00
Found this park when traveling I-95 north for the summer. We would definitely stay again. Nice staff, quiet campground, convenient location. - Froggi Donna
Apr 2016 - $18.00
Our check-in was quick, the owner and help were very friendly. The driveways are gravel but no potholes, low dust and wide corners for turning the 36 ft 5er. The sites are sand and grass, long enough to park comfortably and wide enough to put out slides and awnings.
Our voltage and 30 amp power was low, water pressure was good. There are nice dog walk areas. There is a vacant undeveloped subdivision next door with nice paved roads to walk. I-95 is very close so you can hear the traffic. The swimming pool was just getting filled for the summer, it looked nice. The WiFi was weak if you are not in the middle of the campground. Did not use the 2 washers, restrooms are OK. This is a nice stopover campground. - Diablo
Apr 2016 - $30.00
This is good for an overnighter. Easy access to I-10. The entrance is shared with the EconoLodge, and you have to sign in at the EconoLodge front desk. Sites are level concrete pads. We had a problem with the electricity. My husband plugged in, and nothing happened - no electric. I went to the office, and maintenance came over to help. Turned out the 30 amp problem was something to do with our surge protector. The 50 amp problem was just a loose circuit breaker. Problem solved in a matter of minutes. Staff at the front desk and maintenance were both very friendly and helpful. We would stop here again if traveling down I-10. - mrpeepers
Jan 2016 - $35.00
On our way to Southwest Georgia we had a major issue arise with our truck. Pulled off i95 @ Kingsland exit. Kiki RV Park was right off exit. Spoke with the Manager who was able to accommodate us for the evening so our truck could be repaired the next day. We are so grateful for her understanding, friendliness & professionalism. Kiki is a very clean, well maintained RV park with level concrete pads & full hookups. Price reflects PA rate. Would highly recommend for stopover while traveling i95. - rvgirl54
Jun 2015 - $30.00
Perfect spot for an overnight stop along I-95 or for a few days of exploring the area. Long level concrete pads, good 50 amps, grass, very clean. You can use the pool, etc. at the Econo Lodge next door. Good turning radius for 45 footer. The Passport America discount makes it a great value! - Freedom Bus
Aug 2016 - $32.00
Nice state park with boat ramp on the Crooked River. Mostly empty campground in early August with good paved roads and some pull-thrus.
Park includes marked kayak trails on Crooked River with mini golf and a playground for kids. Our site had great views of the river at sunset. Sites are treed, but we managed to get satellite reception which was good as the normal cable was knocked out by an earlier storm. - Appleknocker
Apr 2016 - $32.00
We really enjoyed this beautiful park and campground, and hope to return. At first we expect to be assigned a spot, so found the whole "select your own" a bit daunting. But, shortly we found a very nice site, in fact I think they are all pretty nice. The bathrooms were very nice. We were surprised to see a State Park with Cable TV, the disappointed that the system was not working. We enjoyed the great birding and the trails. We were disappointed that the Nature Center was closed during our two day visit, and that no one on the staff could help us with tree identification. We found the electric and water to work quite well for us. - Bernalillo_Girl
Sep 2015 - $32.00
This is truly a disappointment for a Georgia state park, most are just outstanding. There is a minimum 2 night stay at this park. The sites are all huge and will fit the biggest rigs. It's quiet and clean. This is a typical state park where you can only reserve a campsite TYPE, not any particular site. That's a first come first serve. The bad part is that the water pressure was low and the electric was weak, at times dangerously low. The infrastructure needs work. Use caution when hooking up and using electric, it could damage your electrical system. - creeper
Aug 2016 - $35.00
Easy to find and easy in and out. Paved inner roads. Pull Thru was FHU with level concrete pad with patio. Wide and long enough for our 40' motorcoach with a tow and two slides. Mature trees and shrubbery between spacious sites for privacy. Patio area with picnic table. Nice areas to walk dogs. No litter, trash or dog waste. Nice responsible pet owners who pick up. Pond with fountain and catch and release. Great way to unwind from a day on the road or from sightseeing/eating/shopping in St. Marys.
Loved the free range chickens and had no problems with crowing that others have mentioned. Maybe our rig is better insulated. We heard there is a great pot luck on the weekends and card games during the week for those who love to meet others and swap stories. Whether you like that, or you just want to chill out, the campground is wonderfully relaxing and peaceful. You won't regret giving them a call and staying here. We will be back again. - SerenityRVing
Feb 2016 - $35.00
This was our third snowbird winter at this park. Why? It is an extremely comfortable park. Most sites are level concrete separated by trees and other plants. The owner and staff are attentive and the Sunday (and holiday) potlucks are great. Restrooms/showers are very good. There are no-see-ums, and some have problems with the free-range chickens. We think it is part of the charm. Price is lower than northern Florida parks and the weather is much the same. The park is generally full in the winter so call first. - gumper
Nov 2015 - $38.00
We chose this campground based on other reviews. We would not classify this as a "gem". Roosters crowing at 5:30 am and running wild had our dog on high alert and shaking the whole time. Neighbors sewer connection was almost on our concrete. Very small place and although there were lots of RVs, not many people. Will not be back. - Patricia1975
Aug 2016 - $34.00
Our first stay. It's rustic with a western flair. Close to the Interstate but not a lot of highway noise. As it was just an overnight stay, I can't comment on area recreation, restaurants or campground amenities. Would return. - grandma0942
Jul 2016 - $40.00
Old campground with all grass and dirt sites.Niceat office personnel. . Sites were kept up.Seem to have a lot of permanent people.Nothing really to do at campground. No pool or lake for swimming. You can fish in a pond. No playground equipment for kids. They ask you to turn your A/C off when you leave your camper. In August in Georgia when it is 94 degrees off they want you to turn off A/C.
Lots of ants around. Would only come back if for overnight stay and no other choice. Nice people but no place for kids . - traveling the use
May 2016 - $34.00
The park staff who check us in was friendly. We were unable to get satellite signal due to the trees. The over the air stations were limited and had significant interference on some of the channels. A decent stop for a night or two, but for a very basic park, the price was a bit high. Space was reasonably level and large. - ram53
Oct 2015 - $19.00
Park is very nice, clean, well laid out. Price is great. A lot of pull thru's and some back ins. Quite area, Lake nearby. - USAF1
Apr 2015 - $22.00
We finally got a reservation for Eagle Hammock RV park after everyone staying at military campgrounds recommended it. We stayed for three weeks and enjoyed every bit of it. I can't say enough about the park and the staff. Wide, paved sites, gravel roads. All the amenities were top notch, including free laundry! The only downside is there is nothing to do in the immediate area. You need to travel to Jacksonville, Brunswick or Yulee for anything to do. So if you want a place to just stay and relax, this is the place for you. It is probably the best military only campground we have stayed at. If you can get the reservation, which during the winter is next to impossible, its a great place to stay. We would definitely go back! - pfogleboch
Jan 2015 - $22.00
This is an excellent campground typical of military bases. Sites are spacious with full hookups that all worked. We paid $2.00 extra per night for lakefront site. Views were spectacular of birds and alligators. Pets must be kept close because the gators have been known to catch a small dog or cat. Plenty to do off base. St Marys is a small coastal town with a waterfront downtown and some good places to eat and a ferry to outlying islands. We will stop here again. - Bojangles
Jul 2016 - $50.00
The postives: friendly staff, shady sites, food available onsite, lots of potential. Negatives: narrow access lanes leading to our site. Parked cars and temporary tents/makeshift garages impacting lanes at rear of park where our site was located. Sites very narrow. Many sites only have 30 amp power. Cable TV lines running above ground in many places. Recycle bins overflowing. Picnic table dilapidated. This can't possibly meet KOA's corporate standards. - Darrshe
Jun 2016 - $43.00
First night out on our trip to the N.E. for the summer. This is the Saturday before Father's Day. CG is just west of I-95, Exit 1 in Ga. Lead to site C14. Site is very level and all utilities worked properly. We have a concrete patio with 4 chairs and a table and umbrella. Traffic noise from I-95 is loud but not disturbing. We have been in noisier RV parks. Bathrooms and showers are clean. They have a dinner menu that worked out for us at $12/plate. The provided cable T.V. was wanting for selection, but signal was ok. Provided WiFi service was typical of RV parks. ATT and Verizon service, both voice and data, are strong. Personnel here are great and very friendly. We are heading over to get our free morning waffles. The first road you drive on inside the park could use some improvement. Loved the rooster crowing in the morning. Very nice stay and we are ready to go! - moderate camper
Mar 2016 - $40.00
This was our first stop on a forty day roadtrip. This campground is far above the average KOA. All sites are spacious pull-thrus. The office staff was friendly and courteous and the escort guided us to our site without incident. We had a 30A WE site that had sufficient length for our long truck and trailer. We had no issues with the electric and the water pressure was satisfactory. WiFi and cell phone service were satisfactory, as was the cable TV. The grounds were neatly kept with no trash lying around. We stayed here before I started collecting info for reviews, so some information is missing. We would definitely come back here for another visit. - George316

Mar 2016 - $44.00
Mostly permanent residents with lots of clutter around the units. Cracked concrete pads. Very narrow sites, some not conducive to multiple slides. Clean but very old bathrooms. Game room dumpy. Staff friendly, clean laundry, and close to interstate for those just traveling through the area. Great Internet, able to stream without a problem. - dkTennessee
Aug 2015 - $30.00
Had to stay two nights but will never stay again. Directions were useless. Billboard hadn't been changed to reflect the new name, nobody working in office and cell phones apparently not in use because we tried several times to call and had zero luck. Place was packed with seasonal campers and very close quarters. I asked my wife to pass the pepper and the guy next door brought it over. - Mr. Camper
Dec 2013 - $30.00
Perfect midway point for us traveling from Orlando area back to NC. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Older campground with extra long sewer lines needed for sewer hookup. Sites really close. Pet friendly with trails and a lake. Great location right off the interstate without noise from the road. Some rundown, permanent sites there but for overnight, had everything we needed and price was GREAT! - rwright
Jul 2016 - $38.00
When we looked for a park in this area, we saw that Coastal Georgia RV Resort was rated a 9.3 on this website. We've become a bit cynical where the ratings are concerned, so hoped for the best. I have given almost no 10 ratings, but this place deserves it! Virtually all of the sites are large pull-thrus, but unlike pull-thrus in most other parks, these are spaced out and are surrounded by lush grass and nice landscaping, so that you actually have some privacy when sitting outside at your picnic table. The sites that are back-ins on the water are also beautiful, and are aligned in such a way that even though you are backed in, the site is angled so that you have a nice view of the water. This park is close to I-95, but there is a thick forest of trees between you and the highway so noise is minimal. Everything is immaculately kept and the people are nice, too! We only stayed one night, but this goes on our list of definite stops. - dbcordello
Jun 2016 - $40.00
Good Sam discount rate for a large, 50 amp, FHU, pull-thru site. Hookup pedestal is very convenient. Park is easily accessed from I95 and has minimal traffic noise. The resort is well maintained, has paved roads, concrete parking pads, concrete picnic pads, and nice landscaping between sites. We had good satellite reception and good Verizon cell/MiFi reception. We would stay here again. - Dave51
Jun 2016 - $40.00
Easy on and off I-95 and plenty of fuel choices adjacent to the park. - sbrown
Apr 2016 - $35.00
Our 2nd (and probably last) time here. Must have been in a much better mood the last time we stayed here. They advertise "free cable" but you must put a $40 deposit on a receiver box the nwire it into your system in order to get anything.
Too much hassle for a one night stay. The parks in the area cover a wide spectrum of quality. This one falls somewhere just below the average. - campiflo
Mar 2016 - $20.00
We were traveling with Adventure Caravans on a paid tour so I am not certain about the nightly rate.
I was not impressed with this park. The roads are not maintained and the sites were grass or dirt. There were many decrepit campers, even a burned out hull of one. - Dreaming
Jan 2016 - $22.00
The check in process was friendly and efficient. The office has an attached dining room where they serve food during the week which might appeal to some. We did not have a chance to use this being here on the week-end. There is a pool and laundry room - but again, we did not use.
This park has some problems with lots of large holes in the road which were filled with water/mud due to the rain. The ground/grassy areas were also muddy but this cannot be helped however the roads should be filled in properly. The area for parking is on a grassy area and not gravel or concrete - which creates major ruts around the site.
This park has "seen better days" as the saying goes and part of this is due to the large population of regulars who live here longer than overnight and leave lots of "stuff" around. The park is not well managed in this regard. They are in their own area but if one goes for a walk, it is less than appealing to see the lack of tidiness in the park. Plus there are many, many dogs/cats and picking up after the pets doesn't seem to be a practice. Plus barking is annoying.
Would we stay here again? Yes, because it is a real bargain and we had no difficulties with anything - though the WiFi is only fair. We used a hot spot - which works better. The bottom line is that this is good for a quick stopping point but there are several other parks in the area far more appealing (and more expensive) than this and if staying longer, we would opt for them. - Bonnie-Ken
