This park features friendly/helpful managers, free-roaming chickens, a small but nice swimming pool, playground, basketball court, big-rig friendly sites and access, full hookups (more than half with 50A), a small laundry, older but clean restrooms/showers and 50% discount for PA and EA members. It's also central to many interesting attractions including the Okefenokee Swamp and Cumberland Island National Seashore. Most of the sites are deep pull throughs but are very close together. We had excellent AT&T coverage. The roads are gravel and sites are grass with only a small picnic table. Some sites has partial shade. The park offers free WIFI but we didn't use it so I can't vouch for its speed or reliability. There is some noise from I-95 but it wasn't that noticeable from our site. We camped at Walkabout Camp & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Could not find anything good to say. Called and made reservations thinking the campground was Passport America after reading reviews but once we was there was told the PA discount was limited. Ok we still wanted the site. Lady in office checked us in and told us where to go. Pulled in site and was looking at neighbor's awning touching my slide out and old picnic table on top of next camper water, sewer, and electric. Site was very tight. Electric box only had an 0ld 30 Amp hook up. Sewer top broken. No cable and Wi-Fi. Water had a sulfur smell to it. Went to bathrooms and showers and they were filthy dirty . Heard I95 traffic all night long. This campground had a lot of permanent and snowbirds and they have stuff everywhere. Like my wife said, this campground needs some TLC on the grounds not owners clubhouse. I would not even recommend for an overnighter. We camped at Walkabout Camp & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Great access to I95 with no road noise. Small park with several seasonal campers but sites are well kept. Rate reflects Coast to Coast Good Neighbor 50 AMP rate using trip points. We camped at Walkabout Camp & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Great location to visit Cumberland National Seashore, Okefenokee Swamp, Jacksonville sites and Brunswick attractions. Stephens Restaurant in Kingsland is a good place for southern cooking.

What a nice smaller park, 40 sites, 30 & 50 amps, level, water, electric, sewer & functioning WiFi. Plenty of room for my 38 ft motor home plus towed vehicle. Most reasonable price compared to other parks I have stayed at. Clean restrooms, & pool, playground. Well "manicured grounds" I hope my travels bring me back. I would defiantly go the extra mile to spend time here again. Easy access from I-95. Everything a tired traveler could wish for. Will program into my GPS to be sure to return. Please Support this Camp, it's the rare kind we appreciate. We camped at Walkabout Camp & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

If coming from the South on I-95, be sure to use exit 7 (don't follow your GPS if it shows an earlier exit).

Exit 3 has all the conveniences you could want - food, shopping & gas.

Our check-in was quick, the owner and help were very friendly. The driveways are gravel but no potholes, low dust and wide corners for turning the 36 ft 5er. The sites are sand and grass, long enough to park comfortably and wide enough to put out slides and awnings.

Our voltage and 30 amp power was low, water pressure was good. There are nice dog walk areas. There is a vacant undeveloped subdivision next door with nice paved roads to walk. I-95 is very close so you can hear the traffic. The swimming pool was just getting filled for the summer, it looked nice. The WiFi was weak if you are not in the middle of the campground. Did not use the 2 washers, restrooms are OK. This is a nice stopover campground. We camped at Walkabout Camp & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Sites are very close. Trash everywhere. Looks like a lot of campers staying the winter or are permanent, and they don't pick up after themselves. Had to pick up little bits of trash before we parked. Have stayed here before, but don't remember so much stuff laying around the campers. Just off the freeway. Picnic table needed to be fixed. Residents and owner very nice. Pool was non-usable. We used our Passport America discount. Gave a rating of 5 because of the cheaper price per night. Lot spacing was very close with some shade. Site surface was sand and featured a picnic table. We camped at Walkabout Camp & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Adequate park for a short term stay. All utilities worked fine, including the free WiFi, though the water had a bad smell which was only partially mitigated by use of an inline filter. Acceptable for bathing however. Would consider staying here again when passing through the area. We camped at Walkabout Camp & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very tight long sites, with full hookups, located midway along RV. Power and water were fine. Grabbed a site since maganger owner wasn't back when promised. Ended up paying for site about 7PM after arriving at 3PM. Many seasonal, long term campers had best sites. the picnic table at our site was useless. Rate is with the Passport America discount. Very friendly staff as well as people in the park. Pretty much agree with all of the previous reviews- level but tight spaces, good wifi, pigs and chickens. Good place to base yourself for day trips to Jacksonville, Cumberland Island, St. Marys, and St. Augustine. If you walk behind the stored campers, you will find a little fishing pier with a cover. Great place to sit at sunset and have some wine. I was surprised with the road noise of I-95 even though we were away from the highway. But we left our fan on at night so it drowned out the noise. Nicely landscaped. Nice pool. We camped at Walkabout Camp & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Doo Dads for some local cooking.
Not sure if a weekly thing, but bingo on Wednesdays and coffee and donuts on Fridays.
They also sell fresh eggs from their chickens.
The bug spray they sell really works. And it is cheaper their than anywhere else we found.

We enjoyed our two night stay here. Good pool, rec area and tv room. Very friendly and helpful staff. I wouldn't use the toilets but the showers were fine. The water however has a strange smell to it that we have seen a couple of other times on our travels, almost like sulphur so I wouldn't drink it. The site was flat, close to others but the WIFI where we were (just across from the office) was very good so try to get a spot close to the office if this is important to you. Happily stay there again. We camped at Walkabout Camp & RV Park in a Motorhome.

A clean park about a half mile off I 95. We used our Coast To Coast membership at this park. The cost was $10.00 per night. They also take Passport America, and that rate is about $16. per night. The sites are narrow on grass and gravel. No privacy between sites. We used the park as a central location to tour several things in a 30 miles radius. It worked out well. The owner is very friendly. We would stay here again. We camped at Walkabout Camp & RV Park in a Motorhome.

New owner is working hard at restoring the park and has done a very good job. The sites are all pull-through, level, and easy to enter and exit. The pool is clean and decent sized, there is a large playground for the kids as well as two small pigs and a pen full of chickens. The owner is a nice guy and very attentive. We would stay here again. We camped at Walkabout Camp & RV Park in a Motorhome.
