This is a friendly park with wonderful owners. At least 50% of the sites are already reserved for all or part of the next season. The park is open year round with one permanent resident. Excellent restaurant, who's owner (Memo) speaks good English. The RV Park is actually part of the parking lot for the restaurant. The RV Park and Restaurant owners are brothers. Edmundo speaks some English. The phone number listed is for the Restaurant. The sites are gravel, a bit dusty. Good access to Playa La Ropa beach through the restaurant. Sites have some shade either in the morning or the afternoon depending on which side you are on. Separate washroom with cold water shower for campers. 1 or 2 sites will take a big rig but are booked for most of next winter. - Canadian Rainbirds

You can leave your rig safely and tour Copper Canyon on the train. The park will transport you to & from the station. The park will also make arrangements for a van tour to the bottom of Copper Canyon. Very Exciting adventure! The restaurant & bar are also great! - rocmoc

GPS Coordinates: 17.69689 N, 101.64627 W. This park is a little bit of “gringolandia” in the midst of Mexico: Even the prices are in US dollars! You get 30 amp power and a parking lot atmosphere, so common in the States. I missed the quirkiness and beautiful landscaping of typical Mexican parks, but it was nice to run the AC. This park normally has an extra charge per child, but they waived it. Since we were only there overnight, we didn’t use the facilities much, and we appreciated the concession. This is a very nice location with a gorgeous beach and a beautiful pool. The hookups are excellent, and the sites are very level. Parking was relatively easy in the fully paved lot. The showers only have cold water (hot water showers are hard to come by as you go farther south in Mexico). Wi-Fi is available in the area between the office and the pool, but there was absolutely no place to sit—no tables or chairs. Several people sat on the wall. Unfortunately, the place was swarming with mosquitoes—easily the most mosquitoes we saw at a park in the two months we spent in Mexico. (Ixtapa is a sister city to Zihuatenejo. The Mexican government hopes that Ixtapa will be the next Cancun.) - Family on the road
