The park has nice wide parking spaces which evergreens and grass at each site as well as a picnic table. The proximity to the Craters of the Moon National Monument was handy. If you decide to eat in the restaurant, don't go until 5:30. Before that, all they will serve is lunch. But you may may even have to wait if their don't have the broilers turned on. The ribs are delicious but if you're super hungry, take a snack. It may take quite a while before you get your dinner. Too we're used to southern hospitality and didn't get that feel here. More like we were bothering them. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Motorhome.

Sites are gravel and fairly level. There is a bit of grass between sites, which they are keeping green with watering. We haven't seen that much. We used the laundry room and the machines were clean, the room was clean and picked up, but quite hot (no air conditioning). There is some shade in some sites. It is convenient to Craters of the Moon NM and is worth the 18 mile drive to see. We stayed two nights to catch up on housekeeping chores and to relax after a busy 10 days in the NPs in WY. Each day we have seen people working around the campground and keeping it neat and clean. There is a little restaurant with a bar attached to the office. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Not really a destination park, but more than adequate for a visit to the Monument. It was close to the road, but still not too noisy. We would stay here again, if traveling through the area. Owner was onsite and friendly and helpful.

This is an older park with large sites in both length and width. Utilities are placed in the front half of the site so you don't need to have long hoses if you are towing. The sites are gravel and reasonably level with cooking grills and tables. There is NO cable, very limited OTA, slow WIFI that is suitable for light browsing only, and NO pool. Satellite TV would be possible with a portable antenna to avoid the shade trees between each site. There is a restaurant at the park with a good selection. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Motorhome.

Stayed 5 nights 2 weeks ago. On main highway, fairly tight for 40' motor home but doable. Real problem is the overhanging tree branches. Cannot go thru park without branches dragging along side or roof. Park really needs to trim things up a bit. WiFi very good, looks like a good cafe on site. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Motorhome.

All pull-through park. Avenues are not overly wide but wide enough to maneuver my 40 footer without issue. My site was plenty long for motor home and tow. Level gravel pad with nice large grass area between sites. Good wi-fi speed. Small restaurant on site with good food. Get the Smoked Potato Salad. Don't expect to do any serious grocery shopping. The only store in town has limited selection of basics, only. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Motorhome.

We enjoyed our stay here. The park is very clean and well maintained, with improvements being made. The site we had was spacious, with no neighbors close-by. Hookups were convenient. Site was shaded. No satellite reception in our particular site, but a tree was in the way.
The restaurant on site is wonderful. We had sauteed shrimp and smoked baked potatoes that were delicious. Paid $36 nightly with Good Sam.
Would stay here again. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Motorhome.

Smooth gravel roads, level gravel pull throughs, site accomodated 35' motorhome towing a CRV, wide spacing between sites, grass strips between sites, evergreen trees between most sites, wooden picnic table at each site, sewer hookup was at rear of site so it took all of 20' of sewer hose, no fenced dog park but lots of grass to walk dogs and no dog waste anywhere, separate security light at each site, C3no cable but a good number of over the air channels, wifi worked good, rest rooms were absolutely spotless, private doored toilet and shower areas. We were in 3rd row back from main road so mostly quiet. Rate was for a 30 Amp with Good Sam discount. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Motorhome.

Nice little RV park and is a short, easy drive to Craters national monument. Grass between sites and quite a few trees. Very friendly owners. We did eat dinner in their cafe one night and the ribs served with salad and smoked potato was excellent! We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is an average campground, sites are close to each other, but not as bad as some places. Campground is under new ownership and they are working on cleaning things up. The bathrooms are clean, large laundry room with older machine that work fine, they just need a sign telling how much and how long they run. There is a nice little restaurant on site which we were planning on going there for dinner on a Saturday night in July after talking to owner the night before about how good the food was, but when we went for dinner there was a sign closed for the Saturday and Sunday, very disappointing that owner did not tell us that the day before...There is a putt putt golf course but it's old and not really playable. Short drive to Crater of the Moons. Room for big RV's ATT cell worked and free WFI worked ok. Arco is nice little town with small store, restaurants and gas stations. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Motorhome.

This park has pull-through spaces which are gravel, separated by grass strips. The hookups include water, 50 amp electric, and sewer. In addition, Wi-Fi service is included and worked well. There are restrooms with showers available as well as a laundry which are all clean and well maintained. The price seems a bit high given that this park is located in relatively remote Arco, ID. Also, although it's a minor point, they have a few DVDs, maybe 8 or 10 and charge $3 to rent them, mind you these are not current releases. Most RV parks who choose to collect DVDs allow their customers to borrow them at no charge. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Motorhome.

Mountain View has friendly staff; all sites are pull-throughs; dynamite Wi-Fi is included, as are the advertised mountain views. Prior policy of allowing washing of vehicles has been suspended because of a water shortage. Fortunately the shortage is not so severe as to prevent watering the grass in the areas separating the vehicles. Picnic tables and charcoal grills are provided at each site. Arco is a town of 994 people but lots to do in the area. The Park is 18 miles from Craters of the Moon National Monument, a must-see even if you have experienced flowing lava. Elsewhere Experimental Breeder Reactor#1, now a museum, was the first nuclear facility in the U.S. to produce electricity. For those with a high-clearance 4WD toad, the park and neighboring areas have plenty of rough roads. Nearby Mackey has a self tour of abandoned mines and equipment, and there is a natural bridge a Jeep ride and a moderate hike away. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The middle third of the so-called Arco-Minidoka road is an off-road challenge. The Minidoka National Historic Site of a WWII Japanese internment camp, however, is 48 miles to the west of the town. There are lots of fishing sites in the area but not many fish in the heat of July. There is a Hemingway Nature Preserve near Picabo. For food in Arco, there are a few mom & pop places and the Mountain View Park has a small restaurant.

Nice park. Good electric and water. Grass between sites. All gravel but good roads. I did think the sites were a little short for long 5th wheels as their trucks got in the way when leaving. The owner is trying to keep this park quite which it was and in good looking order. Would stay again when in the area. If you have a rooftop satellite park to the back of your spot so the tree will not block your signal. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Motorhome.

Stayed in Arco to visit Craters of the Moon NM. The campground in the park is very barren, as would be expected, with no services and it can get pretty warm there. If you want hookups you need to go to Arco. Nice park although some of the spots are short. The staff was excellent and they have a small cafe that serves up some very tasty dishes. We were able to position our rig so that the satellite dish got connected. Some highway noise but there wasn't much traffic at night. Lawn sprinklers will water your rig so make sure storage compartments are tightly closed. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Motorhome.
