We were escorted to the GREEN BELT area, along the hiking/bicycle trail, and directed into a very narrow back-in site. With slides open there wasn't much room to wiggle. There is grass between the back of the site and the trail fence line. This is a very busy CG and there are many long term tenants. We have stayed here in the past but never in this section. We would return when in the area and hope for another section. Try to avoid approaching the CG during rush hour. We camped at Boise Riverside RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is conveniently located 15 minutes from downtown. It's very quiet and tucked away from the main road. The WiFi is pretty good for a park, as is the AT&T cell service. They don't recycle, which is annoying. Parking is super convenient, as they give you an extra space next to your rig to park. They even make sure that it's the side you can see from your rig, which is thoughtful. The greenbelt is just behind the park, and you can rent bikes from the office. The staff is super responsive and helpful, and they help you into your spot when you arrive. There don't seem to be too many permanent residents. The park is also close to the minor league baseball stadium, so you can walk to a game! We camped at Boise Riverside RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Crowded and large campground. We got the only space left for our rig. Weak wifi. OTA channels from Boise. The coated the roads with tar over compressed gravel to keep the dust down. Lot of stores in area including CW. Keep an eye for branches when maneuvering around. We camped at Boise Riverside RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Pros: This park is directly on the green belt. Sites 1-29 back onto a 28 mile paved flat pedestrian walkway and a lovely stream (looks like it was built on a railroad right of way). You couldn't see the stream from the site as it was behind a wall of trees but it was just a few steps into the forested area. There was a large grassy area behind our site which was perfect for reading and people watching as they ambled, rode or jogged along the walkway. (We wouldn't have liked this park as much if we had had been in one of the non-greenbelt sites.) There was a small patio next to our door. There was also a very large picnic area just inside the gate to the park that was very nice and would be a great place to have a larger gathering. The site was level. It was close to all there is to do in Boise. The internet was good. Cons: The sites were tight from side to side. There was no cable, but there was DTV and Dish Network available. Finally, if you are planning to stay a few days, there are no sewer hook-ups but there is a nice dump station in the park. We camped at Boise Riverside RV Park in a Motorhome.

What we really disliked about this park is it is very, very tight. You felt very cramped. Everything worked fine, the common areas were well maintained and laundry area was reasonably clean. We camped at Boise Riverside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There's no dog park here, I avoided the Riverwalk because of the cheat grass weed all over this path that causes all kind of problems if it gets in your dogs ears, paws, etc. There is an adjacent county Fair area where I was able to run our dog off leash.

We were in town for a disc golf tournament and booked two sites next to each other near the Greenbelt. We were able to get these sites on limited notice. The check in was fast and professional, we were escorted to our sites and were a bit concerned that staff would be too nosy with our business but this was not the case at all. We barely saw the staff. Even when a tree limb broke near us, someone was out to cut it up within 24 hours. There were plenty of campers and the spaces were fairly close to each other. It was nice to be able to set up a tent near the greenbelt area and it was nice to have the grass there but the negatives were that it was with some type of bug that infested our chairs, tent, and got into our RV. Also, other area campers felt that letting their dogs go to the bathroom right in our area was OK. This should be dealt with with proper signage. Also, we had no table and there were no fire rings. Overall, it was fine though. We camped at Boise Riverside RV Park in a Motorhome.

The park is conveniently located to downtown Boise and a good base for exploring the area. Sites and roads are gravel, with a small concrete or grassy patio. Our site was level and clean. The park is adjacent to the Boise River Greenway which is great for walking or biking. WiFi worked sporadically. Laundry was clean and had ample machines. The rows with the nightly sites were all neat but some long-term sites were cluttered. Overall, a good option in Boise. We camped at Boise Riverside RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

I stayed over a holiday weekend, and the place was packed. There were lots of screaming kids. Many spaces had large groups of people camping out of one unit, with multiple other vehicles parked there. On both sides of me, people had parked personal vehicles jutting into my site because there wasn't room for them on their own sites. This was not monitored at all by the staff. I was in the sites backed up to the green area - these are the prettiest spots, but the ones that were all crammed together and not very long. There were other spots in the park that were more spacious, and delineated as to keep neighbors from encroaching on each other, but they were in an ugly area - basically a big parking lot. I probably would have enjoyed my stay more had I not been there on a busy weekend. The whole scene was just very chaotic and overcrowded. The office staff was very friendly and accommodating. The wifi was marginal, but again probably because the park was so full. The biggest disappointment was I only stayed at this location to access the bike trails, and they were all flooded in every direction. I was told by some locals that this was pretty common for May. I would not recommend staying at this location to access the bike trails without checking on the river level first. Also, the parts of the bike trail that I could access were in pretty poor condition, with lots of major buckling in the pavement. Verizon signal was strong and there is lots of o/a tv. We camped at Boise Riverside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Check-in staff was excellent. Escorted to the site and guided into drive-thru alignment. Utilities are conveniently placed and easily reached. Sidewalk and grass island separate the RV from handy tow or toad parking. Cable TV and 30/50 Amp power. Close to the Riverside Trail for walking, biking or skateboarding. Sites are gravel and mostly level. CG is busy this time of year with snowbirds migrating back North. We enjoyed our stay and will return when through the area. Unfortunately the path was flooded when we were there, so we were not able to explore it as we would have liked. I understand this is a common occurrence in the spring. Sites were very close together and ours was very short. Gravel base and not level. Some of the sites are actually on grass. Good location for exploring Boise. Laundry, showers and bathrooms were very clean. Staff was very friendly. We camped at Boise Riverside RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We had an unexpected stop in Boise for a truck repair. After reading all the reviews of nearby city campgrounds, we choose Riverside and we're glad we did. We are delighted to confirm the positive reviews of this urban RV Park. We were lucky to be assigned a space on the green belt. A shared bike path full of folks walking and riding ran between our site and the Boise river. While the river was not visible through the cottonwood trees, the regular traffic of honking, low flying Canadian geese confirmed the shoreline's near proximity. The showers and toilet stalls were super clean. The desk clerks were friendly and the maintenance men, scooting around on carts, were happy to assist with our two small requests for help. We forgot to tip them with a thick slice of my lemon pound cake. :( Yes there appear to be plenty of semi-permanent residents, but their sites were tidy (with a couple of exceptions). Yes the sites were close, but with lots of long walks and bird watching, no matter. I needed a solid WiFi connection to do some work. Immediately across the street and walking distance from the Park is the Garden City library. If you are a fan of public libraries, you'll love this one. Riverside is on our list of favorite urban RV parks. We'll be back. We camped at Boise Riverside RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Staff is friendly and helpful. Guide to the site and assist with alignment of the RV in the site. Front row sites are nicest, with pretty well placed utilities. Planter area between RV and Tow Vehicle, with concrete and grass. Patio area is grass with sprinklers that come on every night. These sites don't require much leveling. Laundry $1.50 wash and dry. There are many long term campers but most of the sites are kept clean. We have stayed here before and will return when in the area. We camped at Boise Riverside RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

There is easy access to the hiking trail but access to the island is gone, the bridge washed out in February rains. During our stay the local RV retailers participated in a "show" at the fairgrounds, right next door to the CG. The World Center for Birds of Prey is close and a great place to visit. Live and recovering birds of prey, condor restoration project. Plenty of shopping nearby. Fuel at Fred Meyer was about the cheapest.

About 5-6 miles off of the interstate through some busy traffic. Interior roads gravel. Sites are of a big variety as far as patios, size, trees, etc. Our site was plenty long for the fifth wheel and a separate place on the side to park so worked very well. Got satellite. We had a little grass spot next to us outside our door. No table. Utilities worked well. We were pretty close to the office so Wifi signal was strong. Wifi worked decent during day until late afternoon then no throughput at all. Strong Verizon signal. When register and pay you agree to no refunds! We would stay again for another short stay. The lady taking my reservation was rude and put off by my questions. She said the place had beautiful green grass (Not) and a easy to get to location (Not). They are 5 miles off the freeway, which had road construction that took us through the parking lot of a grocery store. The showers are not separated from each other. You go into the laundry room and men are on one side and the women on the other. The bathroom/showers only have a curtain going into them. For a woman or child, this is not safe, anyone can walk right in. The sprinklers come on early in the morning, so no pottying for the dogs. Would I go here again or recommend this place? I would never go back because of the snotty attitude and was lied to about the grass, to which was weeds and dirt. We camped at Boise Riverside RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
