This a very nice park though definitely overpriced. Sites are not as long as advertised. We have a 32' trailer and had to park the truck cross ways behind the rig. Easy satellite set-up. We had no problem with the noise others have mentioned. It was very quiet. WiFi was very iffy and I have a booster. This is probably due to inconsiderate people streaming movies, etc. We would stay here again. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

A well known restaurant, Cedars Floating Restaurant, is very close. It is very pricey but if you go between 4:00 and 5:30 PM they have an "Early Bird Special" that is excellent and reasonably priced.

This is a nicely located, level campground which was much more dog friendly than most others we've been to. There is a pet trail, a good size dog run (although it is pebbles, which means dogs can't run on it), and a little dog beach where the dogs can swim. There are also lots of grassy areas. Our site was quite small in length; if we didn't disconnect our tow vehicle, it would have been in the road. We had no noise issues. We would stay here again if we were in the area. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Motorhome.

Basically a HUGE parking lot with a few trees and grass. Very good water pressure, a reducer is recommended. 50 amp good as well. Sewer also provided. WiFi not so good even with several towers throughout the park. Interior roads a mixture of asphalt and gravel. Sites are all gravel but level. Negotiating your way around the park is easy. Sites are decent size. I was able to leave the car hooked up and not stick out into the road. AT&T OK, but a little slow. We stayed in a 40-footer and would return. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very clean, well maintained park along the Coeur d'Alene River. Extremely busy; full every night. Reservation is a must. We have stayed on a beautiful riverfront lot previously; however, even though I made a reservation 6 months in advance, none were available. Our pull-thru barely fit our motorhome and towed vehicles are parked everywhere. Every site has grass and there is lots of green space around the park. Roads are tight and can be confusing. The picnic table needed to be replaced. Even with its drawbacks, we enjoy the location and will return again (hopefully getting a better site). We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Motorhome.

If you are lucky enough to get a spot near the water or on the outer edges, which is less than 10% of the spaces, then you may enjoy this place. Otherwise, $54 is WAY too much for the interior spaces ($35 would have been more reasonable), with thin gravel pad sites advertised to accommodate a 45' MH + tow vehicle, but our site was too short for both. When it rained, it was a muddy mess at our site and told no mats, etc. Very messy, again, overpriced for what you are getting on the interior sites. The dog park is sad and looks more like a dog prison (just lacking the razor wire). However, there are some areas on the water to let your dog enjoy which was nice. Laundry room was clean, 24-hr accessible, well lit and reasonably priced. Overall though, we were disappointed about our site (especially due to the price). We would've been willing to pay more for a better site, so "buyer be aware" make reservations early for a spacious lake site, then maybe you'll love the location, but if not, you may want to head on down the road to the casino and spend $50 on the slot machines instead! We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Motorhome.

Being located on Lake Coeur D' Alene, this park is very pretty, and if you're interested in water sports, then this park is for you. If you're looking for a quiet, relaxing park to spend more than a night, then you might think twice before throwing down the 50 bucks a night for this place. It's a very busy park! And I mean busy! People coming and going with every kind of boat and jet ski imaginable all hours of the day and night. It's even hard to stroll around the park with all the activity. You're always looking over your shoulder fearing someone trailering their go-fast boat may not see you. Highway 95 borders the park on the west side and is a very busy noisy road. Besides local traffic, logging trucks roll on it all the time. Bring your ear plugs, you'll need them. Positives...I'm thinking. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is the first time we have been able to get in this park in years. This is definitely a destination park that is full most of the vacation season. We had a gravel, pull in, FHU site on the road side of the park away from the river. The cable TV had 70+ channels, but many were a bit fuzzy. Our site, as many are, was roof satellite friendly. This is a large park with interior roads and sites of gravel. Most sites are pull through, but there are also dozens of pull in and back in sites. There are plenty of recreational facilities: a small beach area on the river, playground, volleyball, clubhouse, game room, etc. This oldie would prefer a pool to too cool river water. The WIFI was very unreliable. When I could get on, it would only take me so far into my surfing (for example, I'd get to the home page on this site but could go not further) and then frop after just a few minutes. The laundry was about a dozen machines and the bath facilities were individual rooms with toilet, sink, and shower. I saw no sign of recycling. The staff dealt with were friendly and helpful. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Motorhome.

Nice quiet park right on the Spokane River. No pool, but they have a small beach on the river. The pull through was just long enough to accommodate our 35' 5th Wheel and truck. Sights and most roads are gravel but there was room to maneuver. Pet areas were nice and there are a lot of open green spaces. It rained while there so there were some puddles, but they didn't seem too bad. We stayed to visit family in CDA.
We would stay here again. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Downtown CDA is about a mile or so away just across the bridge and is walkable. There are restaurants and shopping in the downtown area and also other restaurants not too far away by car. We ate at Bardenay (American/distillery) and really liked the restaurant and the food.

We only stayed one night as we were traveling for a 3 week trip. The price only reflects for 2 people, each additional person is $5 per person per night. So we travel with our 2 kids so it was a little more expensive. Park is big and clean and spots are spacious. Laundry and bathroom areas are clean and big. Water is right next to the park. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Large park on the Spokane River. Good-sized sites with gravel parking and grass - picnic table. No fire pits which was great (allergies).

Office staff extremely helpful and pleasant to deal with. Assigned us pull-thru site 94 at end of row close to river.

Wifi was good overall, varied with time of day (number of users). We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Very nice park on the river, clean and helpful staff. A lot of the pull throughs aren't very long. We were in site 43 and our 41 foot 5th wheel left no room for parking our tow vehicle so we had to park in the overflow parking. Price was with the off season discount so it is a bit too expensive for what it is but overall it is a pretty nice park. We would probably stay here again if in the area. This is one of our favorite RV parks and borders Lake Coeur d'Alene. We spent a week this time combining sightseeing and dog shows. All the premium sites face towards the lake so you pull straight in to your site rather than back in. You can watch the party boats going to/from the lake. There is a large open area in front offering the feeling of a more spacious site. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Motorhome.
