After reading all the reviews I picked this place. Yes has good power and water ( most do) gravel spots. Pretty level. Told it was 70' long. Not hardly. No discounts not even military. Now for the best part>>> Full of dog poop. All over our site and the dog park. For the price someone need to do some checking when people depart. Never seen so much poop in a park in my 40 years of camping. Will skip this place if in the area again.. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a nice park on the Spokane River right where it exists Lake Coeur d'Alene. Sites are gravel separated by a lawn. Sites vary a lot in size. Many are fairly short pull throughs but some are longer. We had a fairly short site with a view of the river. They weren't very busy and let us park our car in the space next door. There are also front in sites along the river. Many sites have river views. Good hook ups, including digital cable. Park is only about five minutes from the town of Coeur d'Alene. Just there for one night and didn't use any of the facilities. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Motorhome.

Access is good, but if coming S on US 95 watch for the turn after the bridge since the turn lane is short. Interior roads are mostly paved, with mostly paved sites. Some of the sites are pretty short so make sure you have a long enough site when making a reservation. Water is high pressure so use a reducer. Electric was fine. Cable TV was not good and very grainy - but over the air channels and sat signals are available. Some smaller interior trees with lots of trees around the perimeter. Nice walking path. There is a beach with some reserved for the dogs. You can rent watercraft on site. Large grassy areas especially near the beach, but it is watered often and it is pretty soft. Even some of the pads are somewhat soft so we used blocks under our jacks. There is a large fenced dog run, but who ever built it does not own a dog. It is gravel and it is hard for dogs to walk on it. There are grassy sidewalks to a nearby restaurant on which you can walk your dogs. There is a dog run in town as well. Park is fairly well lit at night. No one said anything when the rig was washed. Very small campground store. Staff was very helpful. If you are planning on staying here, reservations are a must. I gave them a point reduction for the lousy cable and gravel dog park. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

A must is to walk down to the floating Cedars restaurant especially for the early bird specials. In downtown Coeur d Alene park down on Front Street which is S of Sherman Ave. Lots of parking that take credit cards and cash. Try Hudson's for burgers at lunch, but show up about 11 am because this place is full for hours. Shenanigans has great ice cream. Walk around the boardwalk. Lots of artists shops downtown, and lots of normal shopping on US 95 North of I-90.

Park was good fit for our needs. Had a pull-in site that was long and level. Utilities were properly located and worked well. Buildings and grounds were clean and well kept. Nice setting along the Spokane River with easy access to local attractions and lakefront area downtown. Staff was friendly and helpful with local information. Only negative is their wi-fi, was very weak and not too useful. Aside from wi-fi, we had a great stay, thank you. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Motorhome.

Paved roads with gravel sites. Neatly maintained grass between sites and occasional trees. The staff was great and inviting. The overall appearance of the park is first class. I would absolutely stay here again. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very clean, professionally managed. Nice park with beach and water front. Our site was close to the beach area and cost's were higher that farther away. We felt that for our stay it was worth the extra $$$. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice park convenient to shopping, sightseeing, restaurants in Coeur d'Alene. Level sites although some not very long. Our coach fit in the site but we had to park our toad sideways in front of the coach.

Well maintained grounds and facilities. Nice place on Spokane River to sit, walk dogs, watch boats come and go. Would definitely stay there again if in the area. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Motorhome.

We had a wonderful breakfast at Jimmy's Down the Street on Sherman Avenue in downtown. They were featured on Diners Drives-ins and Dives.

We also had had a great Italian meal at Tomato Street on Appleway.

Nice park with easy access. WiFi is pretty much unusable, that's why I carry Verizon mi-fi, which was fine. Good spacing between sites. Check in process was efficient but staff not overly helpful. Opted to upgrade to a lake view but view was blocked by trees as was satellite coverage. Seeing a trend that more campgrounds are not allowing wood fires, this property has adopted this rule. Fine by me, I don't need the smoke.

I would come back, but would not waste the extra $ on limited lake view. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Motorhome.

Our stay was a stop "along the interstate" and the campground was fine for that - but quite crowded with large RVs and limited site amenities.

Nice to be on the lake and decent access to the interstate (4 - 5 miles away) but it is essentially an urban campground. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Set on the Spokane River this park is on an Island. Very pretty. If it had more gravel on the sites or if the sites were paved, I would give it a 10. Some of the roads were paved and some were gravel. There are nice adirondack chairs set out near the river for you to use. We were in site 54 with awesome views of the river, trees and manicured lawn. The rate is their "view spot", off season rate. $39 for non view, off season. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We only stayed two nights and wished we had stayed longer. At first they said we could stay an extra night, but then said someone had requested that site and we could not. So, not wanting to move for just one night, we left. Reserve ahead, it's a beautiful park. Recommend getting the view site, although it is a short walk to utilize the chairs near the lake.

Very nice rv park with its own swimming beach and dock on the Spokane River. Beach chairs and umbrellas are provided along the shoreline, which is kept very clean. Huge grassy area between the river and rv sites. Roads and sites within the park are gravel. Level pull-through site was long enough for our 45' coach, with parking for our tow alongside. Adequate space with grass between sites...plenty of room for slideouts. Water sports equipment (boats, canoes, kayaks, etc.) available for rent at the park office. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Motorhome.

This a very nice park though definitely overpriced. Sites are not as long as advertised. We have a 32' trailer and had to park the truck cross ways behind the rig. Easy satellite set-up. We had no problem with the noise others have mentioned. It was very quiet. WiFi was very iffy and I have a booster. This is probably due to inconsiderate people streaming movies, etc. We would stay here again. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

A well known restaurant, Cedars Floating Restaurant, is very close. It is very pricey but if you go between 4:00 and 5:30 PM they have an "Early Bird Special" that is excellent and reasonably priced.

This is a nicely located, level campground which was much more dog friendly than most others we've been to. There is a pet trail, a good size dog run (although it is pebbles, which means dogs can't run on it), and a little dog beach where the dogs can swim. There are also lots of grassy areas. Our site was quite small in length; if we didn't disconnect our tow vehicle, it would have been in the road. We had no noise issues. We would stay here again if we were in the area. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Motorhome.

Basically a HUGE parking lot with a few trees and grass. Very good water pressure, a reducer is recommended. 50 amp good as well. Sewer also provided. WiFi not so good even with several towers throughout the park. Interior roads a mixture of asphalt and gravel. Sites are all gravel but level. Negotiating your way around the park is easy. Sites are decent size. I was able to leave the car hooked up and not stick out into the road. AT&T OK, but a little slow. We stayed in a 40-footer and would return.
