Very nice, clean park. Easy to find. A bit pricey. Entrance to park might be frustrating. There didn't seem to be enough staging area. Our rig is 40' plus tow. The sight we were assigned to #54 while a pull through was situated in a round about so was hard to maneuver especially when we left. Nice and quiet on the river so really pretty. We enjoyed the walking paths. Since they weren't busy they allowed us to park our tow in another site. We would return if in the area. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We ate breakfast one day at The Breakfast Nook 1719 N. 4th St. Good and generous portions.

Level, graveled sites with paved roads, beautiful grounds around the entrance and along river, nice beach. Sites are open with a few trees, could use some more. They are planning to close down for the season in a few weeks so the price was discounted. Also you get a 5% discount for cash if you want. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Well kept park right on the Spokane River - we were in space 72 - Pull Through site . . .perfect for us. Pretty good size park good gravel road, sites level. They had many pull through sites. The sites that were on the river side really didn't have a view of the river and were for motorhomes only as the hook ups require that you pull straight into them. The sewer hook ups for those was very far back (toward the road away from the river) and some people either couldn't hook it up or had to buy an extra hose.

Showers/restrooms are individual rooms - very nice.

They have pontoon boats for rent, and other water craft (we didn't do.) Very nice restaurant within walking distance called Cedars.

They also have a clubhouse you can reserve for groups. They said they will have a large flat screen TV there next year.

Wi-Fi was good and so was the cable TV. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

On the other side of the river is a very long paved bike trail - have to cross a busy bridge on Highway 95 to get to it but the trail is very nice and goes for many, many miles - 72 I think a lot of it is along Lake Coeur d'Alene Or you can drive south of town about 1 mile and there is a large parking lot from which you can ride.

This is a nice RV park just a few minutes from downtown Coeur d'Alene. It is a bit on the pricey side, but you are paying for location. They do not offer any discounts for extended stays (weekly or monthly rates), but they don't have to because there are rarely any summer vacancies. The park offers level gravel pads, paved access roads, and decent (but not great) WiFi. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The sewer hook-ups are slightly elevated (about 8 inches above ground level), but the hookups are otherwise good. The only negative about this park is that they run the irrigation sprinklers every night and they spray water on your RV and vehicle leaving water spots. Overall, this is a good park and we would stay here again if we were in the area. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

An EXTREMELY busy RV "resort" on the shore of the lake/river. You are paying for location, location, location. The office staff was friendly and helpful, but enforcement of the "rules" about noise and riding bicycles after dark was non-existent.

If you want a great place to vacation by the lake, and be within a few minutes of the tourist trap that Coeur d'Alene has become, this is your place. If you are looking for a quiet place to stay while visiting family in the area... keep looking. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The scenic cruise around the lake was a nice couple of hours on a hot day... get the Groupon! Close ups of multi-million dollar houses and all the other properties of the Hagadone group (who owns the CDA resort, the cruise line, the golf resort, the floating restaurant, the marine.... and the town. Tune out the constant sales pitch and the begging for tips from the captain at the end. (I should tip you for not sinking the boat... really??)

Great location, clean, nice beach, crowded and close but beautiful. Seems expensive compared to their resorts I have been to. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Great place to stay. Boat dock, swimming area plus you can rent jet skis and houseboats. The river sites are the best, pull front in, lots of grass and shade. Very close to the river. Marina with nice resturant very close by. Book early. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Motorhome.

This was a nice park in a lovely town. We thoroughly enjoyed the beach and did spend some time swimming in the river. The park is laid out well and there was plenty of room for our 45' motorhome and the Jeep.
It is a short ride to get to the Coeur d'Alene bike trails, which are fabulous.
The folks in the office could not have been nicer! We would stay here again. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for 5 nights in a "front in" space along the fence. The park is very large, the sites are adequate. Try to stay away from Marina street, the traffic is heavy and noisy there. EWS worked fine. No Wifi. We would try someplace else next time. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Motorhome.

It doesn't get any better than this - RVing right next to the Spokane River and close to the Historic District of Coeur d'Alene. RV Resort has a large swimming beach, a dock where you can rent boats (power and pedal). There is also a pet beach area where your dogs can swim. The resort has 66 cable TV stations. The resort sells propane. Reserve months in advance and ask for a premium site in the circle (sites 44 - 64) - additional money but well worth the cost. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We drive thru Coeur d'alene almost every summer on our way to cooler temperatures farther north. We always stay at Blackwell Island. Nice Park, nice location, pleasant folks. A little pricey but what can you expect with a park that is almost downtown. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Motorhome.

No discounts are offered at Blackwell Island. They did give us a $10 coupon for for $50 purchase at Albertsons grocery. The park is nicely landscaped and tries to maximize its waterfront location on the Spokane River. The sites, however, are lacking considering the $50+ per night cost. Very few trees, very little grass and a lot of gravel - just blah. The sites are FHU, 50 amp with good WiFi. We also had good Verizon reception and satellite reception. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Motorhome.

Campsites were adequately spaced on gravel pad. Laundry facility was nice but small for size of campground. Pretty lake with beach area for relaxing or renting a kayak or paddle boat. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Motorhome.

Really a nice RV park--lots of amenities--great location. Park is well cared for, but employee safety is not a priority. Neither is the wifi, which can only be categorized as fair-to-middlin' at best. Pet friendly, even to the point of dog doo in "our" rented yard. July 4 is a big deal in CDA, and the friendly staff turned out en masse to repel boarders and charge $5/head--offensive to my guests and confirms previous staff assessments. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Lots of things to see and do in the area.
