Lovely park right on the water. Nice beach and easy access to water. Kayaks and canoes for rent at the park. PRetty chairs available all along the beach for sitting and watching all the watercraft go by. Weather was absolutely wonderful! Staff very nice and helpful. Sites roomy with grass yards, gravel sites. Huge park but still very quiet and pleasant. Will definitely stay here again! We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Cedars is a floating restaurant within walking distance of this park. We had a fabulous meal there. Service was excellent. Make sure you go between 4 and 5:30 to get the special price. Otherwise it is pretty expensive. We also did the scenic boat cruise on the lake and that was very nice.

This park sits right on the Spokane river where it meets Lake Coeur d'Alene. Beautiful location! There are no sites directly on the water, but some of the pull-in sites have a water view. Very friendly and helpful staff. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is about the 10th time we have stayed here. First in our bus and now in our Class C. They staff was helpful and the park has good power water and the hookups are in the right place. I will say that this time the wifi is not even usable. It is on the river and it is pretty full but the place is pretty quiet. I know if you are over by the road it is louder but in the circle up front it is pretty quiet. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Motorhome.

Stayed 4 nights while visiting relatives. Had an end site so actually had a couple of pine trees for shade. very nice full-service rv park with lots of amenities although we didn't take advantage because of activities with relatives. Beautiful river frontage for those interested in water activities or just sitting by the river with morning coffee. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice three night stay. Spokane River swimming area and water toys available. Full camp every night. One bothersome practice is watering the camp site EVERY night. We had to put our chairs away each night. And the grass outside our door was flooded and didn't dry out. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Motorhome.

Great park for families with kids with beach and other water activities. Wide internal roads and grass and gravel sites. Some sites have shade trees and since ours was an end of row, we did have a few trees. Very friendly and helpful staff, and they gave us a discount card for the Cedars Floating Restaurant nearby. My wife's hairdryer broke while we were there and one of the ladies at the office loaned her a hairdryer. Showers are self contained rooms with toilet and sink, but there are other toilets next to them. Very clean and great pressure on the shower. We did make reservations for the Cedars Floating Restaurant before we arrived, and got a great window table. Food was very good with a good mixture of beef and fish. Huge salad bar. At our slow pace on a hot evening, it was about 8 minutes to the restaurant from our site. Very friendly to pets. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a very large, very modern RV park which takes up a large fraction of an island next to Coeur d'Alene. The office was very organized, very friendly and helpful, and all roads inside the park were paved with adequate room for navigating. Our site (117) was good in most ways, nose-in, with a picnic table, gravel base, a nice grassy area next to a row of mature trees, and good hook-ups. Oddly, their sewer connections didn't have threads, so my connector just sat in the pipe. Most sites I noticed were the same, and we all put a large rock on top of the connector as insurance. The WiFi in our site was non-existant, however. We never could get a signal so from our perspective, they may as well have not had any. Verizon signal was 2 bars of 4G, so just barely adequate for streaming. We never went into the bathroom/showers. The laundry room was huge! The park was very busy and completely full some of the time, but it was kept clean and organized by the management. We would likely stay here again. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Tons of things to do in Coeur d'Alene: touristy, boat-y, shopping, terrific road-bike-only trails, seaplanes, tow-behind parachutes, etc. The air was smoky from fires in other states so we kept our vigorous activities to a minimum, but still had lots of fun. Side note: the Forest Cemetery on Govt Rd is the MOST beautiful cemetery I've ever seen! We walked down to the Cedars Floating Restaurant and was not disappointed (go at 4pm).

A decent campground a little overpriced IMHO. Sites are not particularly large only get a small patch of grass each. Facilities are good though, for the price, should be. Cable was poor quality and WiFi was not usable. The owners are upfront that WiFi was not guaranteed and on a as is basis. However, for the price it should be better. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Motorhome.

We would not say this is a rv resort, however the location is very nice and quite near Coeur d'alene. Tight spaces and a somewhat confusing parking arrangement. We came here for a pickleball tournament and loved the town of Coeur d'alene. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Take the boat tour (about $25) downtown. Also try dining at Tony's on the Lake restaurant, or the Floating restaurant within walking distance. If coming to play pickleball there are other choices north of town where one can practice at another rv resort in Blanchard.

This is a beautiful RV resort. The sites are gravel sites with many of the smaller roads being gravel as well. They have a nice little dog area. There is a dog beach where you can take your dogs to run and play. Sadly however, they do not allow any breeds that they perceive as aggressive breeds such as Pit Bulls, Rottweilers, German Shepherds and Doberman pinchers. Normally, I would have given this park a score of a 9 based on a visit with some friends who were staying here. However for us, we don't rank them very high so we give them a score of a 3 because of their Breed Specific Language (BSL) policies. We understand that their policy may be based on their insurance company, but all they would have to do is ask those of us with dogs with an un-deserved reputation to carry an additional insurance rider, so that the park is not placed in what they perceive as a danger. There are many other parks that we have stayed at in our country who simply exclude 'Aggressive dogs' and don't exclude based on breed. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very busy park but quite. They have a beach on the lake with water toys to rent and an area for the dogs to swim. Plenty of room between sites and hook ups worked very well. Grass between each site and tables. They water the grass every night so you have to put your chairs up. Staff were very nice and easy to work with. Very nice park. Nice beach including a section for dogs. There is also a dog park. Back in sites by the water are shaded. Other sites aren't making them better for satellite service. The other sites are pull thrus. A significant amount of long term people. You can tell they are long term because the grass by their sites is greener. One of the long term residents provides a pet walking & watching service. Cable & Wi Fi. Sites were level & the hookups well placed. There is a decent amount of space between sites. There are no discounts except if you would pay cash. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Motorhome.

We now understand the negative reviews, but not the good ones. We felt since we travel through this area often, we needed to try this place. We did, and we won't be coming back. It doesn't matter where a park is located, or how expensive it is. It can still be a bad park. This place is very expensive because it's in Coeur d'Alene. We get that, and would again pay the price, if it was nice. However, this one isn't. The roads and pads are gravel... sort of. They're actually mostly dirt. They are extremely narrow... so much so that I almost couldn't make the turn down our "road" or into our space. The spaces are also so short that we couldn't get our rig and Jeep tow both into our space. Each had to hang over into the roads that were already too narrow. Although the utilities are conveniently positioned, the patio side consists of mostly dead grass and weeds, and is very small. The wifi reception is terrible and it is too slow to even get email. Everything times out, so don't plan on doing much of anything with the park's wifi. If you decide to come here, bring your own hotspot or use your phone. This park probably stays reasonably full in the summer months, mostly because of its location. Families with kids will pay to come here just to be near the water, even though this "family friendly" park charges yet another $5 for every person exceeding... get this... TWO! It's unfortunate that such a prime location is wasted on such a mediocre park, especially when one would expect to find a true RV "Resort" here. It is what it is. You've been warned. If you decide to spend the big bucks to stay here, don't expect much bang for your buck. It's just not here. We were VERY disappointed! We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Motorhome.

Coeur d'Alene is a great resort town, and the lake and Spokane river offer much in the way of water activities. It's a summertime boater's paradise.
