Stayed at this park for 4 nights and was pleasantly surprised. Helpful staff, clean, quiet park. It would be nice if there were a few more trees for shade as it got hot in July, but overall would definitely stay again. Great beach access for swimming, and a nice place to take the dogs for a swim also. Easy access to downtown Coeur D'Alene. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

The spaces are pretty spaced apart, but the gravel roads between the rows are narrow. Wifi was almost nonexistent, so we had to use our Hotspot a lot. Otherwise, it was a nice park, with a nice beach for the park guests along the river feeding into lake Coeur D' Alene. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The Cedars restaurant right on the lake was very nice! Make sure and ask for a window table with a view of the lake. It is only 4 tenths of a mile from the RV park.

This park may have financial problems: The park advertises free WiFi, except two of the towers are unavailable and the one that is available, by the office, offers intermittent service. Supposedly good service occurs within 50' of a working tower, but with 166 sites, it might be a bit crowded by the office if we were all to take that advice. The "local cable channel" service has been reduced to 16 channels from the 60+ channels listed in their brochure. It is a nice location, after all, it is in Coeur d'Alene and there is a decent (20') space between sites. The office personnel were friendly. We won't be back. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice location and easy to get to from the freeway. The park is located next to a river and has lots of green space. We were parked in a pull through in the "pinwheel" so a little tight getting in with our 41 foot 5th wheel. We did not have room for the truck in our space so we had to park next the office. Decent space between rigs. Close to town so easy to get to for meals or any needs. Nice and quiet. Would stay here again. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

By far the worst 'customer service' (if you can even call it that) we've had at a campground. The location is nice, grounds are kept up well, and the facilities are clean, but that's it for positives. The staff is rude and the place is NOT family-friendly. Our kiddos were yelled at multiple times by staff for several different 'offenses' (like riding scooters on the pavement, using the bathroom, etc). If you're retired and/or enjoy being treated rudely, this place might suit you. Otherwise, don't waste your time or money here! We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Made a reservation a month ago and given the option of two spots, one on the edge and one in the middle of the park. I told the woman the quietest one so she puts us in the spot right next to the extremely noisy highway that has lots of truck traffic. The view out our front window is 7 foot weeds....guess they grow them that tall trying to hide the traffic which is right behind them. Also the internet doesn't work at all in this spot. When I called the office to complain I got a cavalier answer that some spots in the park don't have WiFi but I can walk over to some WiFi shack to use it there. She happily told me there were no other sites available and I could get a refund. I told her if I could I would but there are no other parks with availability on such short notice. Refuse to take sites 166 to 172 if you want to sleep at night. Plus these spots are a bit of a walk to their shower/restrooms....that's okay though because they aren't very clean anyway. This place must have a wicked sense of humor to call itself a resort. Sure it's pretty when you first drive in but the gravel sites (no cement pads) are short and the facilities certainly aren't worth $61.50 a day. Office girls could care less, guess they don't pay much so get the bottom of the barrel from the employment pool of this area. I'm very unhappy. Also, picnic table is old splintered wood. Go find another park. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Motorhome.

Showing signs of a nice place beginning to go downhill. Nice location with a small gravel beach on the Spokane River, but a dilapidated floating dock sits only a couple of feet from the shore, so kids can't do anything more than wade a bit in that area. Fairly roomy gravel sights, fairly level. High water pressure, so bring a good regulator. TV cable had over 60 channels when we arrived, though many of them were grainy with interference. Part way through our stay, they changed the cable service, dropping to only 15 channels, still many of them with poor quality signals. WiFi was terrible. Though there was a strong WiFi signal to connect to when it was on, both the Wifi signal and the connection out to the internet was so erratic and slow as to be useless even for retrieving email. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Very nice park with mature trees and grassy play areas. Laundry room was equipped with at least 10 washers and 10 dryers and super clean. People are very friendly. The "beach" is not sand, it is tiny pebbles and the water is still very cold. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Motorhome.

Lovely park right on the water. Nice beach and easy access to water. Kayaks and canoes for rent at the park. PRetty chairs available all along the beach for sitting and watching all the watercraft go by. Weather was absolutely wonderful! Staff very nice and helpful. Sites roomy with grass yards, gravel sites. Huge park but still very quiet and pleasant. Will definitely stay here again! We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Cedars is a floating restaurant within walking distance of this park. We had a fabulous meal there. Service was excellent. Make sure you go between 4 and 5:30 to get the special price. Otherwise it is pretty expensive. We also did the scenic boat cruise on the lake and that was very nice.

This is a beautiful RV resort. The sites are gravel sites with many of the smaller roads being gravel as well. They have a nice little dog area. There is a dog beach where you can take your dogs to run and play. Sadly however, they do not allow any breeds that they perceive as aggressive breeds such as Pit Bulls, Rottweilers, German Shepherds and Doberman pinchers. Normally, I would have given this park a score of a 9 based on a visit with some friends who were staying here. However for us, we don't rank them very high so we give them a score of a 3 because of their Breed Specific Language (BSL) policies. We understand that their policy may be based on their insurance company, but all they would have to do is ask those of us with dogs with an un-deserved reputation to carry an additional insurance rider, so that the park is not placed in what they perceive as a danger. There are many other parks that we have stayed at in our country who simply exclude 'Aggressive dogs' and don't exclude based on breed. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Motorhome.

We would not say this is a rv resort, however the location is very nice and quite near Coeur d'alene. Tight spaces and a somewhat confusing parking arrangement. We came here for a pickleball tournament and loved the town of Coeur d'alene. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Take the boat tour (about $25) downtown. Also try dining at Tony's on the Lake restaurant, or the Floating restaurant within walking distance. If coming to play pickleball there are other choices north of town where one can practice at another rv resort in Blanchard.

A decent campground a little overpriced IMHO. Sites are not particularly large only get a small patch of grass each. Facilities are good though, for the price, should be. Cable was poor quality and WiFi was not usable. The owners are upfront that WiFi was not guaranteed and on a as is basis. However, for the price it should be better. This is a very large, very modern RV park which takes up a large fraction of an island next to Coeur d'Alene. The office was very organized, very friendly and helpful, and all roads inside the park were paved with adequate room for navigating. Our site (117) was good in most ways, nose-in, with a picnic table, gravel base, a nice grassy area next to a row of mature trees, and good hook-ups. Oddly, their sewer connections didn't have threads, so my connector just sat in the pipe. Most sites I noticed were the same, and we all put a large rock on top of the connector as insurance. The WiFi in our site was non-existant, however. We never could get a signal so from our perspective, they may as well have not had any. Verizon signal was 2 bars of 4G, so just barely adequate for streaming. We never went into the bathroom/showers. The laundry room was huge! The park was very busy and completely full some of the time, but it was kept clean and organized by the management. We would likely stay here again. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Tons of things to do in Coeur d'Alene: touristy, boat-y, shopping, terrific road-bike-only trails, seaplanes, tow-behind parachutes, etc. The air was smoky from fires in other states so we kept our vigorous activities to a minimum, but still had lots of fun. Side note: the Forest Cemetery on Govt Rd is the MOST beautiful cemetery I've ever seen! We walked down to the Cedars Floating Restaurant and was not disappointed (go at 4pm).

Great park for families with kids with beach and other water activities. Wide internal roads and grass and gravel sites. Some sites have shade trees and since ours was an end of row, we did have a few trees. Very friendly and helpful staff, and they gave us a discount card for the Cedars Floating Restaurant nearby. My wife's hairdryer broke while we were there and one of the ladies at the office loaned her a hairdryer. Showers are self contained rooms with toilet and sink, but there are other toilets next to them. Very clean and great pressure on the shower. We did make reservations for the Cedars Floating Restaurant before we arrived, and got a great window table. Food was very good with a good mixture of beef and fish. Huge salad bar. At our slow pace on a hot evening, it was about 8 minutes to the restaurant from our site. Very friendly to pets. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Motorhome.
