This is not really an RV park. There appears to be only about a dozen overnight/short term sites. All the others are permanent, either park models or very old (not in good shape) motorhomes or trailers. Because of that, the campground looks kind of dumpy. However - the overnight sites themselves are beautiful. Shade trees and a large grass lawn. We had one of only two pull-throughs & it was huge. Don't panic when you see the railroad track. It is a spur & the train only comes 2 times on Thursday! Yes, we would stay here again if we were coming through the area. We camped at Neat Retreat RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

There are people living there full time so it's not like a real RV park. We had a pull through site with no table and our door faced a full time house. It did not feel like camping. We met a very nice woman with 2 dogs who was a full time resident. The place was not well tended but the biggest issue is it was WAY OVERPRICED. We were on the railroad tracks, literally. No cable but good WIFI. They don't care about their customers, I didn't feel. We camped at Neat Retreat RV Park in a Motorhome.

Park not muddy at all - where did that guy stay - our site was in the back and over 100 ft long - great stop for two nights to rest up for the push to Yellowstone. We camped at Neat Retreat RV Park in a Motorhome.

Take a pass on this place if you can. This is not an RV park. It is an old mobile home park. Double wides, park models old RVs that have not moved and could not move. Good WiFi and cable. A few trailer sites have been left vacant for RVs. My site was being watered when I arrived and was muddy. We camped at Neat Retreat RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

In my opinion, this is not an RV park, but instead a mobile home park with a few overnight sites. During our one night stay I counted just ten sites that appeared to have RVs that would leave with 24 to 72 hours. The others are long-term residents. The majority of the mobile homes are well maintained. The long-term RVs are a much different story. The restrooms, laundry, showers and garbage receptacles are at the opposite end of the park than the majority of overnight RV sites. Sites have gravel parking area with adjacent grass under mature shade trees. As a dog owner I am always looking for dog friendly parks. Dogs are allowed at Neat Retreat, but the "dog walk" shown on their website is a joke. If you go by the website map the "dog walk" is active railroad tracks. If you give them the benefit of the doubt it's either a gravel parking area or a dirt road adjacent a drainage canal. In either case it is not a designated dog friendly area. This park was a disappointment and we will not return. We camped at Neat Retreat RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Decided to try a different park in the Boise area on our way back to WA, but what a disappointment this one was. "Neat" was truly NOT our first impression, many older dumpy looking permanent trailers upon arrival. But the site was long and nicely shaded, however, we had to park around a post in the site to avoid hitting it with our driver-side slides. Gravel parking with grass on the sides. Couldn't get satellite due to trees, but good cable. Utilities worked well, decent Verizon service. Though next to train tracks, none came through during our stay. Likely won't stay here again, certainly overpriced with no amenities. A "retreat" it was not! We camped at Neat Retreat RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Very few pull throughs. The pull throughs are pretty level with shade trees and nice grass. Staff very friendly and helpful.

No pool. Lots of what seems to be permanent residents, but neat and clean-- not trashy. Not a vacation destination- just a good place to stop over on the way somewhere else. We camped at Neat Retreat RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is an older park with long term RV, mobile homes and transient RV sites (some pull-through). As long as you stay on the transient RV side, across from the mobile homes, it is OK. The long term RV side is visually offensive, with junk in the campsites, RVs in various states of mal-repair. I did not notice these sites when I first arrived since I was intent on following directions to my site.

The park served its purpose - to get us through the Labor Day weekend and a place to stay for laundry. We had to use the laundry in town since the park was repairing its water line in the older section of the park. We camped at Neat Retreat RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The Laundry Basket laundromat downtown is very clean and has lots of machines. Flying J is just across the river in Oregon, convenient to fueling before getting back on I-84. Walmart is just across the river in Oregon - no sales tax.

When exiting the park, follow the road along the railroad tracks. If you try to go out the front entrance of the park, there is a blind curve of the highway and it would be difficult to go south (left) without taking a gamble that traffic was not coming.

This is basically a full-time trailer park that has a few RV spots. Their is only one bathroom that was open and it was a combination men's/women's. It was always full so I couldn't tell you if it was clean or not. In our pull-through spot there was a large pipe filled with concrete between the utility box and our 5th wheel. We nearly hit it with our slide-out. We camped at Neat Retreat RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

This is a very serviceable overnight stop. It is wedged between Highway 95 and railroad tracks. There is a bit of a tight turn for larger rigs when entering the park. Staff is very friendly. The overwhelming majority of the park is filled with a mix of run down and patchwork RVs and nicer mobile homes and park models. The transient section is actually very nice, with level gravel sites, very long pull thrus or buddy sites, shade trees, grass and good utilities. Small pad with picnic table. The WiFi worked great the night we pulled in but couldn't even find the network the following morning so not sure what the issue was. Good cable. There were three "private restrooms" with their own shower, toilet and sink but only one was in service. It was spotless. Would probably go to Caldwell or Boise if planning more than an overnight stay. We camped at Neat Retreat RV Park in a Motorhome.

Second time we've stayed here. Mostly permanent residents. A few pull-throughs, some back to back. Residents and staff are friendly. Park is clean, as are restrooms. WiFi was okay. Room to walk along the railroad track, which borders the park, and there were no trains that came thru when we were there. We'd stay here again--easy to get to from 84 and 95. We camped at Neat Retreat RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Clean park with pull-through sites, fairly close together. Interestingly, although there were three nice shower/bathrooms, only one was available while we were there, and that one saw heavy usage by folks living in the park. The pet area was limited unless you want to walk beside the train tracks. Fine for a one night stay. We camped at Neat Retreat RV Park in a Motorhome.
