As others have said, this is a lovely state park with green lawns and lots of shade trees. While only a few have privacy bushes between sites, overall the sites are spacious. Sites 7 - 19 on Wagon loop have at least a partial view of the Snake river. Almost all sites accommodated our 35' motor home. The $ listed by others are correct - except they don't include the fees - $10 for reservation (necessary on weekends), and if you have a tow vehicle an extra $5/night which is not charged to trailers! A little expensive for only 30 amp and no sewer (dump available). Also as mentioned, some of the trees need pruning although I don't recall seeing any more dead trees, we did have a dead branch that scraped our rig on site 22, but they came the next day and removed it so we didn't have a problem leaving. Sites were level in general. Even on the weekend with the camp full, it was quiet and camp host very friendly. Mostly back ins, very few pull thrus. We camped at Three Island Crossing State Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Visit the interpretative center and drive (without RV) the short the Oregon Trail byway (ID 84) to the overlook of the 3 islands. Fantastic and an opportunity to walk the sagebrush, etc that the pioneers experienced, including the heat of the summer.

Beautiful park and nicely maintained, although I didn't use the restroom facilities so I can't rate those. Yes, they water a lot but the green grass is a testimony to it. My rate was from a senior discount available from M-Th. Right on the Snake River, historical displays and plentiful bird population. The route into the park is a little convoluted, using a lot of side streets but well worth it. There is a winery and restaurant close by. We camped at Three Island Crossing State Park in a Motorhome.

We stay in this park 3 or 4 times each summer and have always had an enjoyable stay. Spaces between units are big enough to enjoy some privacy. Nice big trees but bare careful, some are dead and need to be removed. The camp host was constantly checking on certain dogs to make sure they were leashed but let others keep theirs of leash. One of the rangers took some toys from our campsite and placed them in the lost and found at the interpretive center without asking if they were ours first. No parking for guests. We camped at Three Island Crossing State Park in a Motorhome.

The spot was not long enough for our 33' motor home and tow vehicle. We got talked to BB the ranger for being a foot on the grass though. Hard to stay off the road.

There are two loops within this state park. All of the interior roads are on asphalt. The sites within the lower loop are on asphalt, the upper loop's sites are on crushed rocks. All sites have 50/30/15 amp electrical service as well as water. The voltage was good (but few people were using their air conditioners). The electrical box and water spigot were on the appropriate side. There are two dump stations with fresh water. Most of the sites appear to be fairly level. All sites have a fire ring and a picnic table. Fire wood was available for purchase. There are two camp hosts (one for each loop). Each loop has a bathroom with (3) showers per gender. The bathroom has recently been upgraded. The shower room looked institutional right down to a wooden stool that was screwed into the floor. Some showers had a plastic shower curtain, most did not. Some of these shower curtains were moldy and should be replaced. Free WiFi was available for 20 minutes every 12 hours. We did not use it. Verizon air card and phone reception was OK. Cable TV was not available. During our three day stay the grass was constantly being watered. It was difficult not getting wet while walking along the sidewalks. There is a day use fee of $5 per day in addition to the camping fee and a $10 reservation fee. These fees are waived if you were an Idaho resident. For non-residents a night's stay at this park would be around $35 and that does not include a reservation fee. Seniors get a discount from Monday thru Thursday. The senior discount comes to approximately $19.50. Also note that there is a 6% sales tax. This is a nice park but we would only come back using the senior discount. We camped at Three Island Crossing State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

A very decent Idaho state park. We were just passing through and decided to stay a couple of nights. 1/2 price senior discount available Sun-Thur if you qualify. Two seperate camping areas. The upper was typical with decent sites, but with gravel pads. The lower campground had asphalt pads, but kind of a weird layout. Several "companion" sites which cost more than a regular but are double wide to share. Not wide enough if one or both have slides though. Several other sites shared the driveway with one site going straight back and the other is very close (and small yard) at a 45 degree angle. Hopefully you know your neighbor! Lots of grass in both loops and a decent number of nice trees. Very bigrig friendly. Good Verizon coverage but sattelite reception depends on site and trees. Park is on the river. No sites have river frontage, but a few in the upper loop have views. Walking trail in the park follows a section of the Oregon Trail and leads to the ferry crossing area. We camped at Three Island Crossing State Park in a Motorhome.

Nice state park, had a good site and it was level with water and elect and a dump site. Nice area to walk the dog and lots of grass with paved streets.

The rangers were great on check in, let us go find our site than come back to check in ( we like to pick out our own site ) Just an over night stay and we would stay here again when in the area. We camped at Three Island Crossing State Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is one of our favorite parks. It is green and peaceful with an interesting museum about the Oregon Trail. Sites have 30-amp service and water. There are 2 sewer dumps. Sites are adequate in length and shaded. We will return as often as possible. We camped at Three Island Crossing State Park in a Motorhome.

This is a pretty park set along the Snake River. There are two loops. The lower loop did not appear to have any sites with views of the river, while the upper loop, set on a bluff above the river, does have sites with views. The sites are spacious and open with gravel pads. Although the park is open year round, the water may be turned off in the colder months due to freezing temperatures. The water was on when we were there in mid-March, but we woke up to a frozen water hose! This park had a complicated fee structure which we were left to puzzle out on our own as we never saw the camp host or ranger. We camped at Three Island Crossing State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

The park is situated on an important Oregon Trail site. It was here that the pioneers had to decide whether to cross the snake river to the north via a dangerous ford or stay on the south side of the river to continue their journey. The park has a nice interpretive center that tells the story.

We stayed 2 nights in this park. We had a spacious & level gravel back-in site. We enjoyed the Oregon Trail History Center very much. It is free & very informative. It's open Tuesday through Saturday until 4 PM.

Due to an ill family member, we needed a comfortable place to stay for a couple of days. The park was nearly full on Saturday when we arrived & there was a large group of 4-5 rigs that detracted from the peace & quiet.

I think the larger issue for us was the cost of this park. The lower loop (which is much newer) is closed for the winter. This leaves only the upper loop available for camping. The water is shut off for the winter at each site & in the main bath/shower house. There is a small building just inside the entrance that has one toilet each for men & women & no showers. So we paid $29.00/night for a nice site & an electrical hook-up. If we had arrived Monday through Thursday, the cost per night would have been $17.19.

We researched this park beforehand & anticipated spending $30/night but we did not anticipate that there would be no water hook-up at our site and no showers available OR that we would pay nearly 50% less if we had arrived Monday through Thursday. The Idaho State Park web site did not contain this information & their web site was not mobile-friendly. However, given all this, we would choose to stay here again. The location is close to I-84 & the park is lovely. We camped at Three Island Crossing State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Glenns Ferry is a small historic town but we found everything on our grocery list at the Southside Market, just across the railroad tracks. Across the street from the market is an ice cream shop that also serves food. Unfortunately, we did not stop there.

Have stayed here numerous times and always enjoy. The park was completely full this time (weekend) but the electricity held up well. Water pressure was a bit low but worked fine. We stayed in the lower section this time and in a double site, cost was twice the 27.00 rate, but was worth it due to the crowd. We camped at Three Island Crossing State Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is a great campground in the middle of the high desert. We stayed in the lower loop where the pads are all blacktop. The pads in the upper loop are gravel. The park offers 30-amp service and water at each site and there are numerous companion sites available. Each site has fire rings and picnic tables. Firewood is available at the host site. The Crossings Winery is right next door and offers wine tastings and a decent restaurant serving lunch and dinner. There is a walking path between the campground and the winery. Wi-fi is available but we used our Verizon hotspot and had a pretty good 4G signal. Most of the grounds in the campground are lawn grass and the crew keeps it pretty green. We camped at Three Island Crossing State Park in a Travel Trailer.
