3 Parks near Idaho Falls, Idaho

Just a parking lot with an electric outlet at the curb. No space between sites. Less than desirable. - User1359
Jul 2012 - $10.00
Clean, level, paved sites, plenty of room for big RVs and solid 30/50-amp electric service. Truck noise is to be expected in a truck-stop, but $10 a night has to be the best bargain around for 50-amp electric during the hot summer months. There is free, but somewhat weak, Wi-Fi in the campsites, although it's stronger in the restaurant. Our only issue was having to get out our 50-amp extension cord to reach the far-back pedestals, which are on the wrong side too. We would stop here again when passing through or visiting someone in the area. - bcbounders

Need to modernize the shower area. Probably would not stay here again. - jjs
Jul 2015 - $40.00
This is a very popular park. Suggest making reservation. As mentioned before, sites are somewhat unlevel. Saw some rigs with their front or rear wheels off of the ground depending on which way they were facing.
Really think $2 a night for a dog is a little ridiculous. Not sure what this charge is for. The clean up bags at the dog park can't cost that much.
Laundry was clean and reasonable. $1.25 to wash, $1.50 for 55 min drying. There are 2 laundry facilities. One by the office with 6 washers and dryers. However, there is no place to park, if you are carrying a large load. The facility near the rear of the park has two 2 washers and dryers.
Obviously the 5 1/2 MPH does not apply to the the employees. Observed all of them doing at least 15 MPH on their little carts, even the person guiding people to their sites. Bad example. - vwbluestar

Arrived at 1130 AM and previous guest had already checked out so we were able to get our spot. Had a pull-through site which was relatively flat. Only used a small block to bring one side up. We could of left alone but the wife is very sensitive to slope.
Full hookup site and all were fully functional with no issues.
Bathrooms were a bit dated but relatively clean.
Overall it is a decent place if you need a place to stop near the interstate. Yes you can hear freeway traffic but since I come from a metropolitan area it didn't bother me.
Park is a little dated but than again most are. Spots are tight if you have a big rig. Luckily I can whip our little 18' trailer around with ease so navigating side was a breeze.
Mad dash during checkout time. Don't dawdle around. They do come out daily to make sure people are vacating their sites. I don't mind this but just be prepared. This is not a leisurely exit. Entrance and exit is fairly tight. They have a dump station but it's in an odd position as an island near the entrance/exit. Lots of people and activity. Dirt interior roads.
Would we be back? Sure if needed to stop in this area. However I would rather be in a state/national park type setting. We have kids so those work better for us. - QFamCA
Sep 2014 - $39.00
This is a really nice park, the staff is very friendly and helpful! Some of the sites in the park need to be re-leveled, as we saw several rigs with wood under their tires so they wouldn't be off the ground. We weren't completely level, because our automatic levels won't take our front wheel off the ground. - ourcabin
Jun 2010 - $20.00
We stayed in this campground because it was the closest park to where we were to meet family. The Army Surplus Store was indeed a plus to this park otherwise it wasn't a recommendable park. We were charged several dollars more than what we were quoted when we made our reservation. We were told our site had a sewer access and it did not. We were told the park had Wi-Fi, it did not. The sites were so close together we weren't sure we would be able to swing out of the row. I wouldn't say it was big rig friendly although there were a couple of larger sites. We had to dodge the dog waste as permanent residents walked their dogs around the empty sites and didn't clean up after them. It had rained so that aspect of our stay was quite disgusting. The permanent rigs were very old and very run down as well as the park property was unkempt. The manager was not here when we arrived; in fact we made several attempts to pay our bill in the office, and the door was locked. Close to I-15, the noise surprisingly was minimal. We stopped at the office on our way out to pay and even though I mentioned that we didn't have a full service site, our total was more than what we were quoted for full hook ups. It did appear that they were remodeling the office area. We do not recommend this park for anymore than one night, and will not stay here again. - rvmamaw
Jun 2009 - $19.00
This place was spooky to us. Junky looking, really dilapidated run down permanent "rigs" (some will never move again). We would have left except we were meeting friends. We were given a supposed 50 amp site but it was only 30 amp, don't even know if they have 50 amps. The manager knew nothing about RV's and very, very little about his small park. Would not stay here again. - ragface

We chose this park because it is close to the Military Store. The campground was clean - close to the hwy. We had a nice stay. - rvgal
