Excellent RV park. We stayed 5 nights in a 35' rig. Highly recommend this beautiful site. Would definitely stay again. Manager lady was so helpful & knowledgable about our visit to Yellowstone. Large sites with well kept grass & picnic tables. Modern & clean laundry and showers. Truly a GEM. We camped at RedRock RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Five miles off the highway but worth the drive. Beautiful views, very nice park, the sights are a little close and the owners live on site and are very helpful. Stock up before you get there because there isn't any place with a good variety and what is available is expensive. The only bad thing is the very small gravel on the sight which gets tracked in your RV very easily. I would rate the park higher if it had larger gravel on the roads and sights. If it rains it is really muddy. The park is probably the best in the area. We have stayed there twice over the years and would stay there again. We camped at RedRock RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Outstanding views of the lake, mountains and prairies!!! The park is a bit off the beaten path but well worth it. We love how quite and secluded it was! The area's outside your RVs are all grassy and very large because you share the area on the curb side of each RV with the next RV. There is a lot of room between you and your neighbor out side your door. The sites are very level. When I went to setup my hydraulic jacks the motorhome told me I was already level so all it had to do was stabilize my motorhome rather than having to level it as well. The only issues we found were the noise of the ATV's after dark/after quite hours when the ATVs would return from the daily outings. The other issue was the closeness of your neighbor on the hookups/street side of the RVs. The hookups for sewer, water and electric for each site is shared with the person next to you, every other site faces the opposite direction so you have a neighbor right next to the street side of your RV which is very close. (I think you could almost share your salt and pepper with the person next door by opening your windows and passing it between RVs. LOL!) Other than those two things the views and how relaxing it is at the campground is great! They have a very large area to walk your dog which is very nice since most campgrounds just have a small area or none. The people who run the campground are very friendly and willing to help in any way they can. This is a park we will return to next time we're through the area!! We camped at RedRock RV Park in a Motorhome.

This park is far away from supplies, so stock up on food. The setting is beautiful and quiet. The sites are semi level gravel/dirt and have a grass area on the passenger's side. The driver's side is 5 ft. from your neighbor. The staff is good and there are very few rules. Wi-fi is bad, but the cell phone works. Satellite works good. A note of caution; policy indicates that if you make a reservation for any period of time, you pay for that time weather you use it or not. The owner enjoys lecturing to the customers. We camped at RedRock RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed in site #50, which I will definitely ask for again if/when we come back. This site is on an outside row, facing outward away from the interior of the park so we had a lovely view of the meadows and mountains. This park is 5 miles off the main highway, so it is quiet, peaceful and secluded. The sites are extremely large with large lawns for a front yard. The staff is very friendly and helpful, full of great suggestions for what to do and see in the area. I especially appreciated the 6 acre (not kidding!!) area for dog walking. Wifi did not seem to work especially well, but the owner was having difficulties with phone service at the time of our stay. We camped at RedRock RV Park in a Motorhome.

Johnny Sack's Cabin at Big Springs is especially interesting. The quality of his craftsmanship both of the construction of his cabin and construction of his furniture is truly outstanding.

Beautiful location. Staff is the best you will ever find. Rated 9 instead of 10 because there is a very small handful of sites that are quite small. They're still nice, just very small compared to the vast majority of the rest of the spots. Most of the other spaces are spacious. We camped at RedRock RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

The owners/hosts are this park are informed and helpful about the area. The park itself is gravel roads with potholes, all side by side hookups which does allow for a large "front" yard. The large yards encourage large groups and large groups are loud. Quiet hours were not enforced. The one garbage trailer was missing when we departed so there was nowhere to leave our garbage. Quiet is not the word I would use to describe this park. Lots of ATVs being driven around, mostly by the employees. Children riding bikes and skidding through the gravel. The trailer across from us left their dogs out for hours and they were barking constantly. Out of a two month trip this was the least desirable campground we stayed at. We would not stay here again. We camped at RedRock RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed here in a 38' RV. This is an excellent park and definitely the only place to stay near Yellowstone. It is approximately 15 minutes to the West Yellowstone gate and well worth the drive. The park is clean, quiet and beautifully located between the mountains and walking distance to Henry Lake. It's on a paved road (take down their directions diligently as your GPS will send you down the mud road). There are showers (extremely clean) and a well priced ($5.50 for wash & dry) laundry which was awesome.

The park has a perimeter fence which is great for kids. There is a small playground area and my kids loved the tetherball.

The owners live upstairs and are very hospitable, friendly without being noisy and I felt that the park was a safe environment. There are many parks closer to Yellowstone but they are DUMPS and look very shady. This is a high recommendation because we stayed a week and it was lovely, peaceful and with full hook-up, no problems whatsoever. They have wifi too. We camped at RedRock RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

If you travel with kids, the Bear & Wolf Discovery Centre is a fun place (admission is good for two days). We loved the ice cream and prices at Eagle's souveniers across from the West Yellowstone visitor centre. I recommend you stock up on essentials however, at the park they had a small store where prices were reasonable (i.e. $2 to rent a movie).

Camped here for 9 days and the hosts are very accommodating and pleasant. Each site has a grass area and is larger than most private campgrounds. Lake Henry is a short distance as are several venues. This is a long way from city life and any large stores. Peaceful and quiet place to relax and fishing is close by. We camped at RedRock RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

If I had to use one word to describe our stay here, it would be "quiet". While there are several other choices in Island Park that are closer to the highway, RedRock is a ways off the main highway, but well worth the short few minutes to get there. It's quiet, and the scenery is unlike anything else you'll find along the roadside. Be sure to wait until the hosts guide you to your site. They're more than willing to help assist you with getting set up (even in the POURING rain). We would definitely stay here again. We camped at RedRock RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is our 2nd time staying at this campground. We camped here in a 40' motorhome. The electric and water service worked well. Bottom line, it is a pretty nice campground with all of the right amenities, but, I think that it is overpriced for what you get. But, there aren't many choices out there in Island Park area in full hookup campgrounds so they can charge these kinds of rates and get it. We stayed one night and then moved on. The owners were very pleasant to deal with. We camped at RedRock RV Park in a Motorhome.

We were given a spot for our 2 night stay that did not have a picnic table or fire pit. It was a spot on the end of the row and seemed almost an afterthought (putting the spot there). We did have a beautiful view out to Henry's Lake and the staff were very friendly. Would stay again but would only stay if one of their sites around the perimeter were available. We camped at RedRock RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Our gravel/dirt pull-through was long enough for our 40 ft motor home and tow dolly and wide enough to park our car alongside. Our site was mildly unlevel. All pull-through sites are side-by-side hookups. Internal roads are bumpy. Top marks to the staff for being friendly and helpful. No trees tall enough to block our satellite dish. Slow Wi-Fi with a limit of 200 MB/day due to being DSL. Fair Verizon signal. Park is well off any main road and was very quiet. There are many ATV trails in the area and many of our fellow campers came with their ATVs. We came to visit Yellowstone and found the drive there to be a longer than we expected. We liked the campground and staff a lot but to visit Yellowstone we would chose a closer park next time, otherwise we would definitely stay here again. We camped at RedRock RV Park in a Motorhome.

Misleading advertisement in Camping World Good Sam Catalog. Dirty place. Tight sites, no privacy. Put us right next to the office without a fire pit, as all others had. Laundry very high priced! Will not stay there again. Far away from Yellowstone, not very convenient. Try elsewhere, if possible. We camped at RedRock RV Park in a Motorhome.

Wow! What a beauty! This is one of the most beautiful campgrounds, situated in an expansive meadow valley surrounded by mountains. We were lucky enough to not have a reservation and ended up in the overflow area, which we absolutely loved. There were a few sites with water and electricity in this total grass area with a full view of the valley. The meadows are filled with wildflowers and tall grass - the kind you want to run through, or at least your dog will want to. The owner was very nice, as was all the staff. The fellow who escorted us to our site couldn't have been more helpful and kind. The laundry room was clean and we did all our laundry in the 3 washers and dryers. They have fenced part of their meadow property and mowed the grass in a way that provides a very long peaceful strolling path around the outer edge of the park. The path is lighted with solar lights and it is perfect for walking the dog. Our dogs also loved running freely along the gravel roads that run along the edge of the park and out into the vast meadows. You can drive on a road to reach the lake just over the hill. I spent many hours wandering the gravel roads through the meadows - you can breathe and it is very quiet. My husband fished in the lake. Their motto is "Shhh - it's quiet out here", and it is! Pure perfection! We camped at RedRock RV Park in a Motorhome.
