The park is beautiful. Pastures surrounding 3 sides Mountain on 1 side and it's quiet. Not worth the money. Unless you fish or ride quads not much to do. W. Yellowstone is 23 miles to entrance and another 10 to Old Faithful but then that is only a day trip. If you want to see other areas of Yellowstone it is another day trip and much farther. Laundry room is small barely get two of you in at a time and expensive at $3.00 to wash and a quarter for 7 mins but it takes 5 minutes to heat up so it cost $2.00 a load. Even with the good Sam rate we paid $51.00 a night for no yard or fire pit. Barely fit a picnic table. $55.00 a night for a larger yard with picnic table and fire pit. Only monthly rate break not weekly and we were there for two weeks because we were with friends. Won't go back though. We camped at RedRock RV Park in a Motorhome.

Out of the way and quiet were this campsite's strengths but remember that means you have to drive a bit (5 miles) just to get to the main road (cost of being "out of the way" I guess :) Excellent and helpful staff that led everyone to their spots and assisted getting them situated. Were also willing to provide same assistance on departure. Good laundry facilities and a small playground but the roads aren't paved so not great for kids trying to ride bicycles, skateboards, etc. Their wi-fi is WEAK but they tell you that upfront. AT&T not strong (they also tell you that) but there is a good signal when you get to the main road and "up the hill" a little ways. According to those familiar with the area Verizon lost a couple towers this past winter and haven't gotten them replaced as yet so we basically had little to no internet access during our two week stay. However, can't fault the campground for tower loss and my understanding is normally Verizon is very good in the area. Plenty of room to exercise and play with your dog (off leash outside the campground's boundary) but no designated dog park for pets to socialize and play. All-in-all we had an outstanding stay! We camped at RedRock RV Park in a Motorhome.

Park is 4.5 miles off Route 20 on a very rough paved road about 20 miles from West Yellowstone. Lots of ATVs, dust and mosquitoes. Park policy is no refunds if you want or need to leave early even though during high season they turn people away daily. Several other people besides myself were complaining about this policy so be aware of how long you want to stay. No exceptions. For us, it was too isolated and expensive for what we got. On a positive note, it was quiet and there is a mountain view. We camped at RedRock RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

As others have noted, this park is five miles off the highway which is OK. It is quiet. Sometimes you see wildlife crossing the road to the park. The staff is very helpful and friendly - will guide you into your spot. The spaces have ample room and you have a lawn that sits between you and another RV. It's wonderful if you have a dog. It's a bit pricey but we felt it was worth it. Living without TV didn't bother us. They are very strict about their refund policy. So check it out before you reserve. We would stay here again. This is a good option if you plan to tour Yellowstone NP. We camped at RedRock RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

No large grocery stores nearby. However, Robin's Roost, about 4 miles south on HWY 20 has a decent selection of basic items. The fishing in nearby Henry's fork lake was spotty at best.

Thankfully Grizzly in West Yellowstone was sold out or we never would have found this place. The sites were big enough and fairly level. The site width was massive. IThe laundry room was spotless! The views and surrounding meadows were spectacular. And the staff were pleasant and helpful. Only 21 miles to the west entrance and so peaceful and quiet. We highly recommend! We camped at RedRock RV Park in a Motorhome.

Beautiful location and stunning scenery. Gravel sites. Nice open areas to walk your dog, but not fenced in. If you are looking for quiet and peaceful, this is the place. Clean showers and restrooms and decent pressure. Laundry room also very clean. no cable. Very friendly staff. We camped at RedRock RV Park in a Motorhome.

Park is only 5 miles off the highway but might as well 50. No cable, no antenna tv, weak Verizon signal, weak wifi. But this is a place to get away from it all. The park is well kept and staff is very friendly and helpful. Great views in all directions. The only negatives I have are the gravel sites that get muddy when it rains. We camped at RedRock RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a quiet, park nestled in the hills near Henry's Lake. Friendly owners and camp hosts. The sites are large enough for your unit and arranged such that everyone has a good size patch of grass between you and your neighbor. They could stand to refresh the gravel at the sites as most of it is worn down to dirt and makes a mess when it rains. Access is fairly easy. Good size area to walk the dogs on leash. Utilities are good except for wifi. When we checked in, they bragged about how great the wifi is. We were then cautioned not to exceed the 500 Meg daily limit or we would be cut off. No danger of that happening. The signal is constantly dropping out and trying to reconnect. Inside, outside, it doesn't matter. Verizon signal is also marginal so if internet is important, you might want to look elsewhere. We actually left a day early and could not get any refund. We camped at RedRock RV Park in a Motorhome.

The owner was amazing; so were the other workers there. You couldn't ask for nicer people to deal with; truly a wonderful change! The park is out in the country - very pretty and not a bad drive from the main road. It is a "bear aware" park - but they keep it very clean. A number of campers were not adhering to the "no coolers outside" - not sure why that wasn't enforced though. We stayed 3 nights.

They really drive home their "quiet hours" - unfortunately this is one thing that isn't enforced. This was the noisiest campground in our 7,000-mile trip - including the ones near highways and train tracks. The noise was from other campers - at night they kept at it until quite late - but the worst was in the morning. We didn't know people could slam doors so hard and so often. And the noise stared at 6 AM and continued until 10 or so. They actually stated mowing very early (never had a place do this before) and the craziest thing was mowing around our site WHILE we were breaking down. We really didn't appreciate that at all.

There is no cable (no over the air either) and the WiFi is sketchy. This is to be expected based on where it's located so we had no problem with that - just a heads up for others. They limit the amount of data you can use and the family beside us had their WiFi turned off without warning.

They sell firewood however it was too windy while we were there to have a fire. If it hadn't have been for the noise - and the emphasis on being quiet - we would rate this higher. This is a tough review because we really appreciated their help and totally enjoyed talking to their staff and the area. The lack of amenities was even OK - but the noise was unacceptable. All of the hosts live there (and owners) so they had to have heard it and they need to revise their mowing policy. We camped at RedRock RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here for 5 days in a 36' 5th Wheel. Our site was very narrow, sites are close, but nice grassy areas in between. We had a site that had a sheer drop off from our steps of trailer, that we needed a wood platform to step on, to not fall out of the trailer. Not a recommended site for the elderly, but there were plenty of big rig sites. Very clean park (including super clean showers) with an awesome view of the mountains. Great staff, and "Johnny Rocket" was especially helpful when my husband had an issue with the sewer line. He made a tough situation, bearable. Park is about 4-5 miles off the main highway. Downfall of this park: the laundry room is only open from 9am-7pm. I don't particularly want to use my vacation time, during day to do my laundry, I like to do it late when kids are in bed. The cost of doing laundry was high as well, $3/load to wash and $3/dry and our items still were slightly damp. I had started my laundry and asked the staff, if I don't get done by 7, when they need to close, is that ok? They were more than willing to accommodate. I only went over by 15 minutes, though. Their reasoning for the shortened hours is that their ice machine is in the same room, which doesn't make sense, because if the dryers are running hot and the ice needs get cold, so they can extend the hours of the laundry use. No long term residence, either, so that's a bonus.

We would highly recommend this campground! We camped at RedRock RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Close to Yellowstone National Park (less than 30 minutes) and the town of Island Park is 5 minutes drive. You are also 20 minutes from Montana border. We rented a raft and floated down the Snake River, very enjoyable. If you are an off roader, they have many options of trails and places to off road.

We attended the Mack's Inn playhouse, VERY funny and highly recommend!! There are different shows on different nights, so plan ahead, and the dinner is amazing, and TONS of food!

Excellent RV park. We stayed 5 nights in a 35' rig. Highly recommend this beautiful site. Would definitely stay again. Manager lady was so helpful & knowledgable about our visit to Yellowstone. Five miles off the highway but worth the drive. Beautiful views, very nice park, the sights are a little close and the owners live on site and are very helpful. Stock up before you get there because there isn't any place with a good variety and what is available is expensive. The only bad thing is the very small gravel on the sight which gets tracked in your RV very easily. I would rate the park higher if it had larger gravel on the roads and sights. If it rains it is really muddy. The park is probably the best in the area. We have stayed there twice over the years and would stay there again. We camped at RedRock RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Outstanding views of the lake, mountains and prairies!!! The park is a bit off the beaten path but well worth it. We love how quite and secluded it was! The area's outside your RVs are all grassy and very large because you share the area on the curb side of each RV with the next RV. There is a lot of room between you and your neighbor out side your door. The sites are very level. When I went to setup my hydraulic jacks the motorhome told me I was already level so all it had to do was stabilize my motorhome rather than having to level it as well. The only issues we found were the noise of the ATV's after dark/after quite hours when the ATVs would return from the daily outings. The other issue was the closeness of your neighbor on the hookups/street side of the RVs. The hookups for sewer, water and electric for each site is shared with the person next to you, every other site faces the opposite direction so you have a neighbor right next to the street side of your RV which is very close. (I think you could almost share your salt and pepper with the person next door by opening your windows and passing it between RVs. LOL!) Other than those two things the views and how relaxing it is at the campground is great! They have a very large area to walk your dog which is very nice since most campgrounds just have a small area or none. The people who run the campground are very friendly and willing to help in any way they can. This is a park we will return to next time we're through the area!! We camped at RedRock RV Park in a Motorhome.
