Stayed for three months. Close to highway and the associated noise. Sites are plenty long enough to accommodate the longest rigs and are about 30 feet wide. Wi-Fi signal was not strong enough and if we were able to connect, we were soon dropped. Having a site closer to the office or restroom access points may correct this. We camped at Valley View RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

I wish I had read the reviews before making the reservation. The office is a laundry mat. The woman in the office is the worst part of the entire park. She appears to be a miserable. unhelpful. nasty person. I got very sick after 9 days and we had to leave for home before our 14 nights that we had reserved. They collect payment on arrival by check or cash and give NO REFUNDS. It's not like they lost anything - they had our spot filled the day after we left. You could not sit out at all while there because of the biting flies and mosquitoes. There were no amenities, no pool, no cable, and very spotty Wi-Fi. I would never go back there and would never recommend the place to anyone, We camped at Valley View RV Park in a Motorhome.

Made a reservation and then when we arrived they said they didn't have it. Very small family run place without much in the way of amenities but very close to Yellowstone. We were forced to stay on "the other side of the road" where the longer term local contractors were housed. No amenities other than hookups over there. Acceptable in our circumstance as we were late arrival early departure but not for longer term stay.

Beautiful scenery and don't forget your bug spray!!! We camped at Valley View RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Words cannot explain how awful this place is. We had reservations, drove almost 6 hours to get there and what a junkyard. Started with the owner at checkin (their office is in the laundromat). She was beyond rude and just miserable. I even asked her why she was having such a bad day, her answer was simply "because." Ok. Was very upset about our Passport America discount and really did not want to honor it. So we finally get done with Ms. Personality and head to our site. Absolute junkyard to one side of us and looking directly at the back of a huge block building in front of us. Junkyard might even be too generous. Literally several stripped down old mobile homes, broken down pieces of equipment and cars. Perhaps they should invest in fencing??? Forget the beautiful pictures on their website. Not at all like that. You also have to pay 5.00 for key to men's room and 5.00 for woman's bathroom. Have never heard of anything like this. Guess they are worried that random people from off the street will sneak in and use their dumpy place. They also only accept checks and cash. We got our check back and left immediately . We camped at Valley View RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Checked in on a Sunday, cash or checks only never informed of this when reservation was made. Cleaned my own stall to shower on Monday sign says cleaned daily and so I thought because of everyone leaving from holiday heavy use and so reason for filth. Next morning same filth and so talked with office staff who stated "at least you have hot water and the restrooms are warm. I'll go over and check on them it's been a few days". We never will return to this place and found right across the street the state park is cheaper, cleaner, and friendlier. We camped at Valley View RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Plan on dead grass and loud traffic noise from the interstate 24/7. This is another reason we will stay at the state park away from the interstate and next to one of the best fishing holes in Idaho.

Since we were coming from the south on US20 from ID, we decided to stay here rather than West Yellowstone. This is an open, rather basic park. Cost is high and cash or check only. I've seen plenty of laundry facilities in an RV park office, but this the first time I've seen an RV park check in counter in a corner of a 40 machine laundromat We had a somewhat bumpy, gravel, FHU, pull-through site. Previous reviewer from June, 2015 is right about the awkward water and sewer hook ups. There was no park maps, but I believe all sites are FHU pull-throughs. There is no cable, but most sites appear to be satellite friendly. Their 802.11 network was fine for our needs (e-mail and browsing) There is a large bathhouse in the middle of the park 4, 5, 6 sinks, toilets, showers in both the men's and the women's sections. There is nothing recreational in the park. There appeared to be mostly extended stay customers among the 30 sites occupied the night we were there. The property also has a gas station and a convenience store. There is a nice view of the surrounding mountains and Henry Lake is just across the road. We camped at Valley View RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a huge park, big lots. No shade. Huge laundry building with tons of machines. The staff was so helpful and nice. We needed to extent our stay and they were very accommodating. Also helpful with letting you know this about the area. We camped at Valley View RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Spent 3 nights here, it is an average park in beautiful Island Park. The interior roads and the sites are fairly well maintained gravel. The utilities were a little unusual, the faucet was down inside a concrete pipe that made it difficult to get my dual outlet connector and hose connected. The sewer connection came out of the ground at a sharp angle that would put a sharp bend in your drain hose at the elbow fitting. One end of the campground appeared to be mostly long term residents. But I would stay here again. We camped at Valley View RV Park in a Motorhome.

We had two nights here as we traveled into and around Yellowstone. Lovely view across Lake. Huge laundry. Large games room but you had to enter via the office and go through staff area so that was odd. Staff were helpful and I'd stay again. We camped at Valley View RV Park in a Motorhome.

We had a somewhat similar experience as the previous reviewer. We came in early July, expecting to get the 15% Escapees club discount, per the Guidebook, on the (inflated) $40 daily rate. The curt cashier said NO Discounts in July. The workamper we met later was much nicer and offered to pass on the discrepancy to the absentee owner. Nevertheless, we had to pay the full $40 and felt quite ripped off. Consider that the monthly rate is $450 ($15 day!). The previous camper was lucky he came in June for the Passport America rate. There was no TV antenna reception; our Verizon cell and MiFi were slow but better than the bad park Wi-Fi. The highway noise on the front row was loud all night. The sewer cap was a foot below ground and the water spigot also low, so we didn't use them. The view of the mountains and lake is really nice, and the big laundromat was welcome. Otherwise, there are many other better choices in the area, both private and government campgrounds. We camped at Valley View RV Park in a Motorhome.

Nice place with a view of Henry Lake and snow capped mountain. Large laundry in front. About 15 miles from W. Yellowstone with nice scenic ride. No trees so no problem with satellite TV. AT&T phone and Wi-Fi works well. Close to the highway but the site we had was in the back so noise wasn't bad. We would stay here again. We camped at Valley View RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a clean, well maintained park with spacious, relatively level sites and very easy off/on to highway 20. The lady who greeted us on the driveway and the fellow who parked us were a delight to encounter at the end of a long day of driving: welcoming, friendly and helpful. The lady at the reception desk was unbelievably rude. The rate per night was considerably higher than advertised on the Passport America website. Although the park says it offers Wi-Fi it is Wi-Fi in name only. I experienced better speed and dependability with my old dial-up modem of years gone by. From a purely physical point of view this park should rate a 6 or a 7 but the way in which my wife was treated while negotiating our stay at the (vastly inflated) Passport America rate warrants no more than a 3 (and even then I am being generous). Bottom line: if you want a nice site with unacceptable Wi-Fi at an inflated price while being badly treated by check-in staff this definitely is the place for you. We will not stay here again... if we cannot find a similarly optioned RV park in this area (and there are lots of other parks nearby) for 30$/night or less we will simply stop sooner or drive further. We camped at Valley View RV Park in a Motorhome.

Price was for 50 Amp full hook ups weekly rates with Escapees discount. No pool, no playground, no campfires make this a wonderful quiet and peaceful place to camp. Food is very expensive in this area of the country, so stock up before you come. They have gravel driveways and pads. We were deluged with rain for a couple days, but drainage was excellent with only a couple small puddles to contend with. There is no cable TV. There are 2 over-the-air channels available, channel 8 and channel 10 (PBS). They are extremely difficult to tune in and impossible to get half the time. Most campers were using satellite. There was no trash pickup at the sites; bear proof dumpsters were available. The free WiFi strength was excellent, but the response was slow and barely useable. There were some mosquitoes at night (nothing like the warms in Yellowstone), but no flies. Lots of ground squirrels and robins. Verizon and ATT wireless showed 5 out of 5 bars signal strength. They do have a huge laundry. We camped at Valley View RV Park in a Motorhome.

Rate cited is based on a monthly rate of $450.00. Large laundromat/office. Great park. Lots of room between sites. Beautiful view of mountains and lake. Clean restrooms and showers. Friendly staff. Lots of information of where to look for different animals in Yellowstone NP. 14 miles from West Yellowstone and west entrance to park. Very reasonable price compared to price in West Yellowstone. Very quiet, considering its on Hwy 20. We would come back in a heartbeat. I gave it an 8 since it didn't have any thing to do at park but who cares when you spend your days at Yellowstone. If you just like a level site with plenty of room for your big rig and 50 amp, then this is a great RV Park. The office is inside a big laundromat, so this is an excellent place to do your laundry. They charge you an extra $1 for WiFi, but I had a pretty good Verizon signal, so chose to use my own Mi-Fi. I liked the fact that it was easy to find. It is just 1/4 mile South of the 87/20 Junction right on the I-20. Our spot was right on the road, but we ran our fan so we couldn't hear the road noise. We drove around to view other RV parks in the area, and this one fit our needs the best. We would stay here again. We camped at Valley View RV Park in a Motorhome.
