The reason for "Bad Service".... No wifi. Sure they say they have wifi however all four of our devices would not pick up a signal. I really get tired of giving these parks a pass for lack of wifi! This is part of the "service" they advertise and we pay for! We camped at Boise / Meridian KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

KOA. Why so expensive for such tiny sites? We got a back in site that was just barely large enough to fit our 35' fifth wheel. No room for the truck, had to park next to our site! Our back end was less than 6 inches from the rv behind us. Butted right up next to each other, and side to side not much better. If both rv's had their awnings out, they would've overlapped by an inch or two! They did have a few pull-thru's that would have been much nicer for our size rig. Permanent resident rvers mainly around the perimeter of the park and most are very nice! Bathrooms and pool area nice and clean. Sites had a few cigarette butts here and there, but for the most part the park was clean. The so-called "dog-run" was not. It was a chain linked area of about 12x12. Our dog wouldn't even go into it as it was very P smelly, so we walked our dog out along the street leading into the park. We camped at Boise / Meridian KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

We were on an end row pull-through site. It was long enough for us to keep our truck on the site but because the end of the site curved, we felt that the corner of the trailer was vulnerable. We put out our reflective triangles just in case. The campground is very large & appears to be well cared for. Handy for shopping in Meridian. We camped at Boise / Meridian KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

This was a stopover for 1 night. The pull-through was long enough for our 5th wheel to stay hooked to our truck. Site was level. Noticed that the back-in sites are extremely close together. (Glad we got what we did.) Campground was excited about their new high speed Wi-fi. We were only able to log on, couldn't even download our email. We camped at Boise / Meridian KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

We also stayed in site 25 like another reviewer. The campground map makes the site look very nice and wide. It isn't. It was short for our 35 foot Motorhome and narrow. We stayed two nights and many RVs coming in for one night got much better sites. AVOID SITE 25 IF AT ALL POSSIBLE. I also agreed that the staff need some customer Sevice training. The nicest person was our guide to our site. The laundry room was great and all but one machine was working and you can hang out in the lounge area which was very comfortable. We camped at Boise / Meridian KOA in a Motorhome.

Avoid site 25. Some nice restaurants near by though the reception staff didn't recommend any place when asked. Pennwood street creeps on you.

Long time KOA member and have enjoyed the fact that KOA's are usually well kept, staff friendly and have nice spots. This was our first time at this park. We were put in spot 25 at the end of the row. It is the smallest of spots in that row. The sewer connection was at the rear of the spot and we could not connect. When we put out slides out on the drivers side they were hanging over in the road due to the very narrow width. A motorhome should not be put on this spot. That is just the nuisance part of the stay, the main reason for the low review was the stench of sewer that was overwhelming. We had to close all the windows to get away from the smell. I noticed that most of the hoses were just stuck in the pipes and not regulated at all. I brought my problems up to the staff and they just commented they have had motorhomes there before and didn't even address the stench. Last stay for us at this KOA. We camped at Boise / Meridian KOA in a Motorhome.

We usually do not stay at KOA as they are more expensive and usually have small and tight sites, our neighbors gave us for Christmas $50 KOA gift card and we decided to use it making the rates more reasonable. This park was a usual KOA, very small narrow sites with a small patch of grass, small concrete pad and a table. The place is clean, the WiFi is horrible, our neighbors had two dogs that barked continuously, there was very little signage to get here and if not for the directions on their website we would have missed our turn. Seemed to be quite a few permanent residents but their sites were tidy and clean. The staff was friendly and but not helpful, we wanted to renew our KOA card in order to take advantage of the 10% discount, they would renew the card but not give us a discount. All KOA's we have stayed at for more than 10 years have always had someone to escorts you to your site and assist in any way needed but not this location. We would probably look for different place to stay if in this area again. We camped at Boise / Meridian KOA in a Motorhome.

We have stayed here off and on since they opened many years ago, pre KOA. I have been critical in prior reviews. But things have changed. Check in, with reservations, took about 1 minute. Cable TV and wifi were excellent! Avoid pull thru site #11 if you have driver side slide outs, there is a major power distribution panel on that side. All sites tend to be narrow but adequate. Noise levels are minimal if there are no car races at the nearby racetrack. We camped at Boise / Meridian KOA in a Travel Trailer.

We are been staying here monthly for a while. The office staff definitely need some training in Customer Service. The sites are very tight and the parking is a joke. We have a 5th wheel and the back was parked over two sprinklers; unbeknownst to us the water from the sprinkler was getting up under the material that is on the bottom of the 5th wheel. The park did not care that we had to place holes in the material just to release the water that had built up. I would not recommend this place. We camped at Boise / Meridian KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Before we paid, I specifically asked about the internet, as I was under a deadline. The office told me, "No problem." But when I tried to connect, I couldn't even send an email. Had to find alternative access, which also cost me extra. The only reason we went to the KOA was we thought it, of all places, would have good internet. WIFI is a joke there. When I complained, they could not have cared less.

Typical KOA: over-priced, packed-in, but clean. We camped at Boise / Meridian KOA in a Travel Trailer.

They have a nice little park here, though like most KOAs you are packed in pretty tightly. The staff seemed very helpful at first, but then they showed how little they care about the people that stay there. I had booked for a longer time, but due to the no refund policy, I asked to pay for only the first two weeks while I tried to get closer to where I was working. Instead, they changed my reservation to end the last day I paid for and didn't tell me. I had to scramble to find somewhere else to go for the last 12 days of my reservation. The place is clean, the WiFi is horrible, and the staff are uncaring for the visitors since they know they'll be able to replace you since there are so few options in the area. Best tip I can give is to stay somewhere else. We camped at Boise / Meridian KOA in a Motorhome.

Decent grocery prices are very close at the WinCo down the road. Walmart and Camping World are within a few miles (across the interstate) if you need anything for your rig or dinghy.

Clean, well kept. Staff is helpful but does not go out of the way to help in finding or backing into site.

Sites are unusually small in length for a KOA. Place is like a cattle feed lot without the stench (all RVs are jammed in). Streets are narrow with vehicles parked on the sides (makes it difficult to park your camper).

I would not stay here again or recommend it to anyone. We camped at Boise / Meridian KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Rate was for a week for a 30 amp site. Park has many long term sites around the edges. Sites for both large and smaller rigs require careful parking of your tow or truck. This is especially true in the overnight 30 amp area. As mentioned earlier, several roads are very narrow with vehicles sticking out into the roads from sites. We camped at Boise / Meridian KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Be careful when trying to reach park via Hwy 84. Due to the recent creation of one way streets (So. Main St./ So. Meridian Rd.), the suggested entrance from Hwy 84 requires an abrupt left hand turn down a short inter-connecting street and then the need to haul your rig across a busy 3 lane street in a short distance to enter the actual street leading to the park.

Recommend coming in via Franklin Rd. rather than directly from Hwy 84 via Main/Meridian. Check recent maps and/or Google Earth.

Campground is well maintained, and the permanent residents' sites are clean and cared for. It is centrally located close to Boise and its suburbs in a decent area; whereas some of the other Boise suburb campgrounds are in questionable neighborhoods. The cable worked well, but we didn't use the bathrooms, laundry room, etc. We camped here for a month prior to moving across the country. My only complaint is how fast the cars move through the campground. We camped at Boise / Meridian KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Two hours to McCall, and three hours to Sun Valley area. Downtown Boise (8th St) is safe and has some good restaurants. Visit Ann Morrison Park downtown and float the Boise River in the summer. The old penitentiary and botanical gardens are nice. The Village on Eagle Road has good restaurants and shopping with water fountains, small play area, movie theater, and Big Als bowling/family fun.
