Overall Rating:

We've been full-timing for a couple of years and stayed in 50 campgrounds across the US. And Mountain Home RV Resort ranks in the top two or three places we've ever stayed! The sites are wide and spacious (some of them even extra long), with grass and trees between them. Each site has a concrete pad, picnic table and patio. Wide interior roads are asphalt, making navigation extremely easy. The entire is neat as can be--grass mowed, trees trimmed and the light poles at each site all work. Speaking of trees, now (in early October) the leaves are into changing colors and they're just beautiful. The list of amenities is long - in addition to the usual wifi and cable TV, there's a playground, baseball court, off-leash pet area, beautiful pool and spa, and propane is available on site. There's even a convention facility available at extra cost. Best of all is the friendly, helpful staff making check-in a breeze. They even lead you to your site and make sure your rig is spotted to make hook-ups easy. And there's a small selection of RV supplies for sale in the office. It's easy on and off the I-84 freeway, but just far enough away that you don't hear any freeway noise. There's no doubt we'd stay here again--hopefully longer than just an overnight! We can't speak more highly of Mountain Home RV Resort. See a few of the other reviews for things to do, see and good places to eat nearby. We camped at Mountain Home RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a fabulous park and absolutely deserves the 9.6 rating it's received. Beautiful manicured lawn spaces between sites and large trees throughout. Concrete pads, 50 amp, full hookups pull through sites plenty long enough for out 40 ft rig and tow. Interior roads are paved and wide. Propane is also available at a reasonable rate. Also a large grass dog park. Great place and the staff was super friendly and helpful. We camped at Mountain Home RV Park in a Motorhome.

Great park. Great staff. Mature trees so don't know if our DirecTV would have worked well as we used cable. Grassy sites with well laid out utilities. We walked about 10-15 minutes west to a nice pizza parlor. They are adding 76 more sites so some construction going on, but did not bother us. Easy on and off freeway. Would definitely recommend! Tips for other Campers:

There are 2 Chinese places within that same distance. Chevron on the East side of the highway was easy in and out - probably easier than the pilot.

My husband and I stayed for 4 nights and had a wonderful time. The facility is spotless! There is some construction going on as they add more sites but the construction did not in any way detract from our visit. The sites are meticulously groomed. We were very comfortable. We visited the clubhouse and chatted with the staff. The staff were really friendly and helpful. They stopped what they were doing to answer our questions. We will return to this resort again and will highly recommend the facility. We camped at Mountain Home RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

We played golf at the Mountain Home Golf Course and had a great time. We had a tee time one day, the next day we were able to walk on. We visited the Mountain Home Museum. The building is quaint and all of the displays were informative. They have a place for the military memorabilia and had some interesting information with the items. We fished below the Anderson Dam and saw lots of Kokanee. The fish were rolling but we didn't catch any. The views were wonderful!

Awesome campground. Very friendly staff and helpful staff. Entrance of park sets the pace for an awesome place to stay. Manicured grounds, very nice wide roads, big paved sites with ample space for big rigs. Sites are well maintained and hookups conveniently located. Great water pressure. We had nice shade at our site as well. Definitely a five star!!! We camped at Mountain Home RV Park in a Motorhome.

First a correction - they actually have 106 sites - a few long term residents. Good thing they are expanding otherwise it might become even more difficult to get in unless reserved at least 2 weeks ahead. Within a year or so they will be twice their size - looks like it will be over 200 sites. This is a very, very nice park - immaculate. Concrete pads, grass in between sites. They are good size with ample room for vehicle Wi-Fi is excellent and the cable is good. Oddly Verizon 4G was weak and just making a phone call was impossible using the Verizon network. I used Wi-Fi Calling. We were able to use our Satellite but the trees could be a problem depending on your site. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Escort you to your site. Showers are individual restrooms and are very clean and free. They even provide bath mats. The freeway is near but noise is negligible. Recommend making a reservation as they were turning people away in the Middle of September. We were here for only one night so don't know what the attraction is to this area. We would stay here again. We have stayed at places half as nice for more money. Is there an 11 on the scale? We camped at Mountain Home RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Lots of long term residents but building spaces to double the size and promise pickleball. Reservations seem a must. Beautiful grounds and pool, exercise room and reasonable laundry. Play ground for kids and a nice dog area. WiFi was weak but Satelite was good. We camped at Mountain Home RV Park in a Motorhome.

Our second stay here as we were here last year. Park is still top notch and are in process of adding additional sites so business must be good. They do have a limit on age of RV's allowed which I am not a total fan of as I have seen some very nice older rigs. OTOH, it does keep the junkers out. Visiting relatives in area. Beautifully kept park. Green grass and trees between each site. Sites clean and each has a picnic table. They are in the process of more than doubling the size of the park which is necessary as they are very busy. Staff very helpful and friendly. We camped at Mountain Home RV Park in a Motorhome.

They were full but we had reservations. Beautiful campground with trees and grass and dog exercise area. Did not use the pool or spa but they looked fine. Good hookups. Easy pull thru and host guides you in. They are expanding and it will be a welcome addition as they look pretty busy in peak season. Quiet CG even full up. Friendly people staying as neighbors. This rv resort is beautiful. Even though my cable did not work, I had to give this place a 10! I loved the wide and extra long pull thru sites. The picnic tables are heavy duty plastic so no splinters. The grass between the sites is well manicured. Each site actually has a 3ft privacy screen for the utilities so you can enjoy your site without having to be reminded of your neighbor's sewer and connections. The entrance to the resort is so beautiful that I would have been happy just to dry camp in the middle of the long driveway. The freshly paved asphalt streets in the resort are wide enough for motorhomes to travel three abreast!!! No kidding!!! They are expanding the number of sites by at least 50+. The connections were visible on the adjacent properties. I don't know if the dust from the construction is an issue because we arrived late in the day and no one was working. I don't know when the resort opened but it looks absolutely brand new. Everything is pristine. I did hear that the wifi was spotty depending on your location in the resort and our cable did not work. But, I don't use the wifi when traveling and we have a satellite and Netflix and Amazon Prime for entertainment. I use my cell phone as a hotspot. The signal was great and I had no problems. The water pressure is 65 lbs and we were advised to use an attachment to step down the water pressure. Lots of trees but not so many that our satellite was obstructed. We had no problem get a satellite signal. Late arrivals pay on the HONOR system. They tell you the cost for the night and you leave a check in the envelope provided if you check out before they open in the morning. Their website shows off the beauty of the rv resort. We have been to every state in the US & this is one of our top 4 favs! I would visit again gladly. Heck, I did not want to leave. We camped at Mountain Home RV Park in a Motorhome.

I rarely (never?) give a park a 10, but this one is well worth it. Mostly I object to parks who call themselves 'resorts' that turn out to be anything but...not the case here. It is worthy of the title, and at a very reasonable rate. Pool area is very attractive, as is the pet area, to the point of being landscaped. Even the park wi-fi works well, which, in my experience, is rare. There is absolutely nothing negative to say about this park, except maybe that it's apparently always booked full, so reservations are a must! We camped at Mountain Home RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

One of the nicest private campgrounds we have visited; this was our 2nd or 3rd stay here (overnight each time). Paved sites (I forgot to notice whether asphalt or concrete), many with nice shade trees, well manicured, and very clean bathrooms make it a pleasant place to stay. There are quite a few longterm campers here, but they are neat and tidy as well. This year it is likely to be dusty here; the campground is in the process of a big expansion (almost doubling the size). If you want shade, you'll need to ask for a site in the "older section" the next few years! Convenient to town, gas stations, fast food, etc., and to I-84, but very little interstate road noise - though there is road noise overnight from the road through town. Great overnighter, and also for those who need to stay in the area a while. The campground has a pool and a pet area, and possibly some other amenities we didn't notice. We camped at Mountain Home RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This has to be the best bang for your buck. We stay here on a regular stopover every other year. The sites are level concrete. Wi Fi, satellite, and phone always work great. The sites have green grass and are about 70' long. The people here are always helpful and you can wash your rigs. The down side is the lack of entertainment in the town.
