We spent 3 nights in a river front spot with an amazing view. We stayed in this big rig friendly park in late October when the campground was maybe 1/3 full. Super nice owners and fellow campers. We camped at Wagonhammer RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Beautiful riverside location, awesome staff, clean facilities. This trip, the river was at flood stage and there was water everywhere- many sites were under water- and mosquitoes were the worst I've seen in many years. Still, a very nice spot and the owners and staff are truly great! Fun happy hour. $10 fee to use the dump station, believe it or not. We camped at Wagonhammer RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We we're here in the shoulder season and were able to pick a site right under some large shade trees, right by the river. Beautiful location with water, electric only. Good wifi at our site. Verizon cell service non existent but campground says it's available by the store. Owners host a byob happy hour on the big porch behind the store every evening. Hosts were friendly and very helpful. Couldn't be more pleased and would highly recommend the campsite, especially during this time of year. We camped at Wagonhammer RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Parked in second row so as to have full hookups. The sites in the front row are just a few feet from the Salmon River. There was only one RV in front so our view of the river was great. This Park sits in a valley and the views are great! Would like to come back and stay for a week or more. Many sites have fire rings but ours did not. Staff is very helpful. Tips for other Campers:

The town of Salmon is about 20 miles away. Had a great lunch at Bertram's Brewery on the main drag. Good selection of craft beers and very reasonably priced entrees.

This is the second time we have stayed at Wagonhammer RV Park. The first time was three years ago. The park was just as wonderful as ever. We had a great site right on the river. There is a lot of grass area and a big off leash dog park called "The Island." Wagonhammer is relaxing, enjoyable, and the owners are wonderful people who provide excellent service. The only downside is our site, along with all the ones along the river, did not have full hook-ups. We camped at Wagonhammer RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There is some pretty sight seeing close by. Nearby Salmon has a lot of shops and restaurants. There is a nice gift shop right at Wagonhammer. However, there are no groceries available in the shop so make sure you come stocked with what you need or plan to take a trip into town.

Camped overnight. We camped in a spot with water and electric, no sewer hookup. They wanted $10 to use their dump station. There were no shade trees in the space where we camped. Our spot backed up to the Salmon River which was nice. There was no cell phone service unless you had Verizon. The WiFi service was not reliable at all. Was unable to connect unless I walked closer to the office. We camped at Wagonhammer RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This is a nice campground right on the Salmon River. It has gravel roads and pads, but they were level and reasonably spacious with a grassy area between sites. The scenery is really beautiful, but it's fairly remote. We had no AT&T service and could not use the campground wifi. There were no trees to interfere with satellite. The other utilities worked well. The staff was very helpful with information on the area and sites to see as well as escorting us to our site. The campground appears to be well cared for and is very clean. We would consider staying here again if we are in the area. We camped at Wagonhammer RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Small CG pretty far from anything. 20 miles from Salmon and 2 miles from North Fork with a small cafe. Site 10 was dirt and gravel with some shade. Decent size for MH and tow. W/E/S worked fine. Did not use rest room or showers. No problem with WIFI. Not real fast, but OK. They have a Verizon repeater, so you can make call if you are near the office. Friendliest staff and campers we have met in over 2 years of full timing. Offered to haul me and my kayak on a float trip with them. Had a great float and lunch on the beautiful Salmon River. We camped at Wagonhammer RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

This RV Park is a beautiful, park-like oasis on the Snake River. Sites are large and shaded with fire-pits. The park exudes careful tending, even the propane tanks are painted with murals. There is also a prime gift shop that features lovely women's wear. We camped at Wagonhammer RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Only overnighted here and didn't use the restroom, showers, or laundry so can't comment on that, but agree with what the previous two posters said. Nice clean place with lots of grass. Most of the sites are fairly spacious, but the E & W sites appear to be more so than the FHU sites. One thing to note. They charge $10 for the dump station even if you camp there. We didn't need to dump so it didn't matter. But if you need to dump you might want to check the difference in price between the E/W sites and FHU. It might be worth it to go with the FHU instead of paying the $10. Wi-fi worked great...better than most. But we were close to the office so that might've made a difference. I felt that $28 (Good Sam) for an E/W site was a reasonable price. I'd stay again if in the area. We camped at Wagonhammer RV Park & Campground in a Truck Camper.

Very quite and well maintained. Owners are very nice folks and attend to any and all questions or needs that you have
We stayed in a pull thru spot because we wanted the sewer hookups. 50 amp service and good water pressure with adequate spacing between RV spots. The ones along the water have a better view but no sewer hookup due to Idaho DEQ and EPA regulations about sewer near rivers, etc. they do have an on site dump location thoug for a $10 fee. Best RV parks we saw from Salmon Idaho to North Fork and glad we stayed here. Will stay here again next year. We camped at Wagonhammer RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

My findings of this campground seem to be different than other posters, to each their own I guess...We had high hope for this park after readying some of the reviews and seeing pictures on their website, well this is by far not the worst campground we've ever stayed in, it's sure not any place close to best or top 10. Let start with the good, nice check in staff, had lots of information about the area. Has a really nice gift store, something you don't find much anymore prices were fair, also sold beer and wine. Laundry room was clean but attached to office so only open when office is. There is a nice club house area with an amazing old fireplace. Bathroom and showers were very clean and large, but floor could make you dizzy (LOL). Easy on and off road.

Now the bad, sites are close and laid out oddly, the side we stayed on was little better for spacing but the side that seemed to have all the people and full hook-up were very close, reach out and touch close. Lots of grass but most of it dead, in the 24 hours we were there the hose/sprinkler ran in the same few spots for hours. Some sights have BBQ grills and fire rings, fire rings made of old washer drums hate that. (Site 34 no fire ring or BBQ) There is a nice dog walking area but to get to it you have to walk across a bridge that seems unsafe to walk on. Beware that there are 2 sites that are right next to the bridge and if you get put in those you're going to have people walking right next to your site the whole time. There is no ATT cell in this area, they do have WFI but it really just worked ok... (But you are out in the middle of nowhere) This could be an amazing campground but at this time it's just ok, no place I would call relaxing or place to stay longer than a day or two. We camped at Wagonhammer RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Spent 2 nights here in a back-in, electric-water site along the river; we asked for shade and got a site in a little grove of tall cottonwoods, so we had shade galore! Beautiful view from our site too, especially toward the back (river & mountains). Owner & campground workers very friendly and pleasant, and they encourage socializing! Our site was on grass and was very uneven, but we have leveling pads and managed just fine. Utilities at the front of the site if you're backing in, so extra hoses and extension cords may be necessary. Bathrooms are very clean and of an unusual design. Campground is quite a ways from shopping, which is 16 miles down the road in Salmon. Owner has lots of activities and points of interest in the area to recommend, if you're at a loss for what to do. We camped at Wagonhammer RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.
