We arrived Monday without reservations; got 3 nights (first in an overflow with water/electricity; full hookups othernites). Lotsa grass and trees; friendly/accommodating staff; quiet. Tow car parked across in park road (like 30' from rv); not a problem. Good location to hike/ Mt bike the area. We camped at Palisades RV Park in a Motorhome.

This park is right on the highway but doesn't feel like it. They take extremely good care of the place. Very friendly hosts (don't let their phone etiquette fool you). The river is a one minute walk from the park but it's just a boat ramp with little access to the river. That said, there is plenty of river access within a 2 minute drive. The downside of the park is the rv spaces. They are very close together and most have you facing front door to front door with the neighbors. If I come back I will request space 15. All in all great park and great location. We camped at Palisades RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

There is about a 20 mile loop you can take from the bottom of the dam, down one side of the river and back on the highway that is worth the drive. Half is dirt road that gets you thinking you took a wrong turn but eventually leads back to the highway. The dirt road is in great condition and at the north end just before you get back to the highway there is an amazing little waterfall that is a must see.

Small park (about 10 sites), all back-ins; tow vehicles need to be parked across the single campground road from one's site - not too far away, just less convenient than right by the RV. Very friendly & helpful owner/manager. Bathhouse includes 2 private bathrooms w/ showers and 1 private bathroom w/o shower (toilet & sink only), all very clean. The building seems brand-new. 2 washers & 2 dryers in there as well, and a book exchange library. Downsides of this park are road noise from US 26 (though not too bad at night) and back-to-back hookups, which make neighboring sites VERY close. Fine for an overnight/short stay, though there are a few seasonals here (some are weekend/vacation homes for folks from an hour away or so.) Campground is located 2 miles below Palisades Dam. We camped at Palisades RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Staying just one night, we were allowed to remain hitched up, but usually manager requires tow vehicle/toad to be parked across the campground road from the RV, so she can water the grass. Trail from campground to river. Fishing popular in this area. We were very impressed with how new & clean the bathhouse was. Best part of the campground (along with the nice manager).

The whole setting is lovely and just a quick walk to the Palisades River. We had great luck fishing. Satellite and our private internet worked great too. The electric pedestals are shared with two sites so some nights we shared our front door side of the trailer with the front door side of a motor home who had to drive in instead of back in. The park is a combination of a row of RV sites and rental cabins toward the street end. We found excellent space to run the dog. Note that you do not park your two vehicle right in front of the trailer. It is to be parked off the grass a little ways away. We camped at Palisades RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

The drive along Palisades Reservoir (a ways upstream) is breathtaking as is the drive into Jackson hole. One can make a loop by returning thru Teton pass and Victor, ID.

This is a small RV park and out in the country, but we were looking for a place to stop and found this little gem. It only has 30 amp sites and no pull throughs, but we really liked it. The host was super friendly and helpful. The back site is beautiful, you feel like you are all alone. We had a very level and shady spot. There is a fountain and gazebo with a grill and fire ring. Very nice. We would definitely stay again if we were in the area. We camped at Palisades RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a small RV park a few miles below Palisades Reservoir adjacent to the Snake River. It is quiet and you can walk to the river to sightsee or fish. Pads are gravel and surrounded by grass. A little pricey for the money, but it appeared many RV's were parked for the summer. I suspect a monthly rate is much lower (I stayed for three nights). Hostess was very friendly. Bring needed food and supplies because major shopping is miles away. We camped at Palisades RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This place is nothing fancy. The price is nothing fancy either. No fire ring. Sites are a bit close. No picnic table. Friendly staff. Will stop here again if in the area. We camped at Palisades RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Campground host nice. Directed us to a site that was pull through, but to pull through we had to drive through tent campers! Hostess said it was "Ok, they're nice people"! What had us concerned was how we were going to back up in there to pull our trailer out. Utilities set up that your door was right in front of your neighbors, and there were no picnic tables at some of the sites. Also sites very small toward back of park. Couldn't open our awning due to close proximity of trees. Showers OK, but trash had not been emptied the 4 days we were there. Would not stay there again. We camped at Palisades RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This small shady, quiet park is a gem. There is room enough between cabins and RV spots to accommodate a 30 to 40 people for a reunion and they cater to that as well as regular over-nighters or those who stay a few days. Showers and bathrooms are like the ones at home and very clean. The laundry is also clean and nice. The camp host and owners were really friendly and accommodating. Lots of grass and flowers are everywhere. Covered picnic areas, grills, water fountain and shade. We had no trouble with the trees and our RV The temperatures were in the 90's but we were comfortable. They only have 30 AMP power but with the shade and cool grass, we got along great with one air conditioner in 90+ temperatures. Limited cable TV but adequate. We absolutely would come again and encourage other to stay also. Close to tourist areas of the western side of the Tetons, access to Jackson Hole area and within driving distance of Yellowstone and other attractions. 45 miles from Idaho Falls so services are a bit limited. Limited groceries available at local convenience store across the highway. This campground is right on the Snake River with great river access and boat access for fishermen. We camped at Palisades RV Park in a Motorhome.

A campground to stay at. Had a family reunion there for a week. Great location to go to Jackson, Yellowstone Park, Masa Falls, Float Trips and Horse back riding. Side by Side spaces, lots of shade. You need to call to make sure of reservations. Excellent camp host and a excellent owner, they will go out of there way to make sure you have a good time. Make sure you have enough food because the nearest food is Alpine Wy. 21 miles away, but it is a pretty drive along Palisades Reservoir. We camped at Palisades RV Park in a Motorhome.

Palisades RV Park is a small park several miles downstream from Palisades Reservoir on the Snake River. It was well kept and clean. The showers and laundry rooms were very clean. The pads were gravel and close to level. There are numerous trees and nice areas of green grass. I would not recommend this park for folks in very large rigs. The majority of the sites are back in. The caretaker was very friendly and helpful. A walking path exists from the park to the river. It was very quiet at night with little or no traffic noise. The location shown on their web site is somewhat in error. It is located on the west side of the road at mile marker 385. Will stay here again. We camped at Palisades RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
