Nice and clean. Very quiet. Honor box. Showers and restrooms very clean. There is both 50 and 30amp service. We also had water. Dump action available. Nice park close by for walking. Within 5 minutes to most stored. Camped here in 40ft motorhome. Would stay here again. We camped at Bannock County Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

We stayed at the fairgrounds for we stayed at the fairgrounds for one week. We stayed one week & loved it. Each night we were able to go down to the arenas and watch the Cowboys practice. The sites are first come first serve. We will definitely return. We camped at Bannock County Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

It was very dusty. Be prepared to sneeze a lot. Get some nasal spray and lip protection. There is a lot to do in the area and Pocatello is full of wonderful people. Have fun!

What a wonderful surprise! First come, first serve campgrounds. Very clean. Honor system for paying. Cleanest showers we have ever stayed at and was so perfect. Every night we walked down to the arena and watched rodeos. Missing the campgrounds as we are headed out for three more months. We camped at Bannock County Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

Make sure there are no events going on at this fairgrounds. We pulled in on the last day of a rodeo so it was full until folks left. There appeared to be two different areas, one on the north side on a big grassy area with just electric sites and portajohns. Sites near the arena are grass and all back-in and have water and electric with bathrooms/showers nearby. The sites are close together. Roads are packed dirt. A dump station is easy to get to. Self-pay area with envelopes is available. You can even bring a horse and self-pay for a stall. Great view of the city and mountains. Area seemed safe. We camped at Bannock County Fairgrounds in a Fifth Wheel.

There have been a few changes since we were last here. The showers have been updated and now actually usable. The also constructed a huge sporting event center about a mile away from the fairgrounds.

All of the interior roads are on dirt and the sites are on grass. The sites are not level (in either position). All sites are back-ins with water and electric. The 30 amp electrical service was strong. A dump station with non-potable water was also available.

The bathhouse has 6 showers per gender and was clean.

Picnic tables, fire rings, 50 amp electrical service and Wi-Fi were not available. There was some road noise from the freeway. It can be very dusty if the winds kick in.

We would stay at this fairground if we come back to Pocatello. We have a 32 foot 5th wheel. We camped at Bannock County Fairgrounds in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice, grassy , back-in sites. Water and 50 or 30 amp. No sewer, but they do have a dump station. Self check-in, honor system, pay by personal check in the provided envelopes, and drop box. There is an "unofficial" camp host who was friendly enough and asked us if we were "settled in" OK.

There is a fair amount of fwy noise from the I-15, but not enough to keep us awake. Occasional train, but the horn is really all you can hear. Website says there are 100 spaces, and we only saw 5 or 6 other rigs here. No events here this weekend, so camp was very quiet. No shade trees here, but for the price, and ease of check-in, this place is a great stop for overnight. We camped at Bannock County Fairgrounds in a Fifth Wheel.

It is what it is. Grassy spots that are on a side hill so bring your leveling blocks. Beautiful overlooking the city. Easy to find and maneuver in. A little too much $$ for only water and electric but it had a dump site. Quiet. No picnic tables or amenities like wifi. I would stay here again. We camped at Bannock County Fairgrounds in a Travel Trailer.

Grassy sites with 30/50 amp power and water, and a dump station on the grounds. No one was in the office so we used the self pay station. We were the only ones in the entire 122 space RV park. Some noise during the day from a few activities on the fairgrounds, and some through traffic, but that quieted down in the evening. Sites are back in with a "39 foot limit", but you could easily park sideways if towing and you don't want to drop your toad. A good overnight spot. We camped at Bannock County Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

When I called for a reservation, I was told reservations weren't taken, that there should be spaces available. Turns out I was the only one parked in the area. It was also raining, but the area was very quiet until the morning. Construction equipment, school buses and commuters drove through. I would come here again, for an overnight only. We camped at Bannock County Fairgrounds in a Travel Trailer.

The parking is back-in on nicely mowed grass and the sites were not quite long enough for our RV so we parked parallel on an end site as there were only 2 other rigs in the campground. Clean and quiet with a good Verizon signal good water pressure and 50 amp electric. Good for an overnight and we would stay again.. We camped at Bannock County Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

We camped here a full week and there were only two other families during our stay, so plenty of space available. Did not see any management during our stay so we used the self-registration facilities. Very convenient location, no highway noise, easy in-n-out access, clear skies for our satellite. Individual water supplies were already cut-off for the winter, but there was a central water-faucet working close by the dump-station. Restrooms and showers were OK, however, a little more heat inside the building would be helpful. Overall, we had a good time and will certainly come back again. We camped at Bannock County Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

Nice campground, sights not overly big but adequate for a few days stay. Staff friendly and have been very good about allowing us to stay for extra time because of storms (we have stayed here on our way to and from Canada) even though space at a premium because of rodeo. Would recommend campground and will be staying again on our way home this year. We camped at Bannock County Fairgrounds in a Fifth Wheel.

Cost for 1 night $25.00, non-event day (fairgrounds not in use), and first come first served. Event days are $10 with reservations. 122 sites with electric & water, no table, no fire ring. Sites close together. Cell phone coverage (Verizon) excellent. Landscape is well-graveled drives, grass sites, no shade but a few trees at west end of CG. Sites all have some slope, all back-ins, and must separate TV or toad to side. Very quiet. Large bathroom has sinks, toilets & showers w/ good pressure, clean. Okay for one night. We camped at Bannock County Fairgrounds in a Travel Trailer.

Campground is like a parking lot with gravel roads bordered by 32 ft. grass strips on each side for RV parking. Hook-ups are at rear of each back-in site. Rigs over 32 feet long will protrude into roadway. Tow vehicles & toads have to be parked in driveway or on grass next to RV, which takes up space that would normally be the patio. We had 30 amp elec, but the water was not turned on at the campsites. Had to cart water from faucet at front of campground area. New rate for 2011 is $25. The $10 rate is for event participants only. There is no security. Check-in is self-service box at front of campground. No staff on site. We would not stay here again. We camped at Bannock County Fairgrounds in a Fifth Wheel.

Bannock County Fairgrounds RV Park in Pocatello has about 125 sites. All have water and electric (30 and 50 amps available). The electricity was very good. There is a dump station at the campgrounds. It could feel crowded if the park was filled (which probably only happens if there was an event going on in the fairgrounds). The sites (all back-ins) are on grass and not very level, but manageable. The bathroom and showers was a couple of notches above what we have seen in other fairgrounds. Call for directions, Mapquest and Streets and Trips will should you a round about way to get to this fairground. Verizon air card and cell phone worked well. Daily rate for non events is $20, event camping is $10. We stayed at the fairgrounds with a 32 footer. We would stay here again if were in the area. We camped at Bannock County Fairgrounds in a Fifth Wheel.
