Unbelievably they took our reservation two months in advance with NO deposit. When we arrived everything went smoothly and the staff is warm, friendly and service was excellent. This is not a fancy high end park full of high end rigs. The park is beautifully maintained and spotless. There were a good number of permanent to semi-permanent residents... and the sites are very tight. Our two tandem sites accommodated both Motorhomes and both Toads. We did not need to unhook... but did to go out to eat. The electrical tested perfect and voltage was excellent... no faults or errors. We would have rated the park even higher if there had been cable tv and the sites had afforded any privacy at all. We were traveling with another couple so the tandem sites was not a problem for us... and was explained to us prior to arrival. The location is convenient and the park was quiet for us We camped at Cowboy RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed just one night, so a bit limited in review. We had a pull through which was a double, but nobody stayed behind us for the night. Plenty of room and 50-amp, we were able to enjoy dinner out in a funky brewery and tuck in for the next day's drive. Now, the downside is the rest of the park which is a mobile home park and, although some of it looks neat and tidy, plenty of it does not. However, the RV part was fine and we weren't staying long enough to worry about the rest of it. It's in a good locale, close to the interstate. Idaho State has a large campus nearby, and you're not too far from the historic section, either. The park served our needs and the front desk staff were friendly. There was a nice kids area nearby, too, which our dog enjoyed while the kids were in school. We camped at Cowboy RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We went to Portneuf Brewing Co. for some good Idaho IPA and dinner. Not bad Mexican! My husband enjoyed his IPA and I had brewed Sarsaparilla (root beer). It was in an older building and about five minutes away from the RV Park.

This was an overnight stop and it was very nice. Close to the interstate but far enough away for little to no noise. Walmart was about 8-10 miles away but fuel was much closer. There were other grocery stores much closer. Would stay again for an overnight. As a side note, they no longer provide cable tv. We camped at Cowboy RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

First time on this site that I'm stunned by the positive reviews. The only good thing about this park is the staff. We reserved a pull-through. There is a MH on the other side so we could only pull through if they back out. We backed in, not a huge problem but they should not call this a pull-through. The pad is not level, fortunately we have auto-levelers. Sites are close together and have dead grass. The main complaint is that this campground has a very high percentage of long-term campers and many of them are frankly pretty ratty looking with junk piled around. We spent the previous two nights at RV parks that also had long-term renters but the sites were much tidier. Noise from the highway is moderate and the train whistles woke my husband. The RV Park connects to a mobile home park, which is also poorly maintained. We were disappointed and would not stay again. We camped at Cowboy RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We arrived in our 40' MH and tow car and they sent us to a pull through site. It was so unlevel we called and asked for a different site. They moved us to another site - same thing; we could not level. Our 3rd attempt was finally a back-in site and we had to put large blocks under the driver side of the coach to get level. Staff was very nice about it, but the sites in this park leave a lot to be desired. Interior roads for a large MH are difficult to maneuver. We would not stay here again. We camped at Cowboy RV Park in a Motorhome.

We were so appreciative of the folks at this RV park. We had reservations at another - there was a mix-up and suddenly we had no place to stay on Friday and Saturday nights. We found Cowboy RV park on the internet and called - of course they were full up. When we explained our dilemma, they said that we could stay in a spot they usually did not rent out as it was not very level. It worked out fine as we could level using our jacks. We were so thankful to have a nice place to stay. The folks at the desk said that another RV was moving out the next day and we could move to their spot which was one of the nicest in the park. The park itself was a mix of short and long term stays. It was clean and the staff was so friendly - even giving us a newspaper each day! Our second spot had a large tree for shade, nice picnic table and plenty of room to sit outside in our lawn chairs. The clubhouse was nice with a great little library and laundry that was clean and and reasonably priced at $1.25 a load. We camped at Cowboy RV Park in a Motorhome.

Right down the road and well within walking distance is a beautiful park complex that includes a recreation of the old fort, and pioneer town, disc golf, rock climbing, and great walking trails.

Given the reviews, did not expect such a nice overnight stop. Checkin good, utilities good (no cable but OTA HD tv works fine), good Internet, good Verizon cell service. Even got some shade at our campsite on a 100 degree day. Good overnight stop. Would stay here again. We camped at Cowboy RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tidy RV park. Very friendly staff at check in, clean grounds and washrooms. Many sites had some shade. Amazingly fast wifi, the desk staff actually suggested streaming movies. You can hear the freeway traffic at night, though it's not terribly loud. Some of the sites made for difficult sideways leveling and we had to move from the first one to another. Stayed for the night as passing through. Would stay here again. We camped at Cowboy RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Although we didn't use any of the facilities we found this park extremely clean. The weather was snowy, the site was concrete with full hook-ups. Due to the weather we basically just sat in the rv for the night. I would go back if ever in the area. We camped at Cowboy RV Park in a Motorhome.

How do you make a site longer than it is? Just say it's longer. That this park is neat and clean couldn't make up for the fact that the definition of a pull in site behind another occupant is undefined and can be described as able to accommodate a 40ft motorhome when it really isn't. We prefer an RV park to Walmart, but the choice here would be difficult, if we needed a place to stay again in Pocatello. We camped at Cowboy RV Park in a Motorhome.
