This is true camping, many sites have power and water, nice spacing between sight, lots of open area. Such a treat to be at real campground. There is no ATT at sight but if you go up the road to the lodge and set in there bar you can get little internet. We camped at Powell Campground in a Motorhome.
Tips for other Campers:
The whole drive along the 12 is very pretty, but this drive is not for the faint of heart. It narrow 2 lines with river on one side and heavy traffic on the other, no spot for a new driver.

This is a very nice Forest Service campground with electrical available at about 25 sites. The sites are wide with plenty of room for your slideouts. I would not recommend it for large motor homes or 5th wheels. A bonus is the Lochsa Lodge which is a short walk from the campground. We enjoyed a nice dinner there. They have Wi-Fi available in the bar area. No cell phone service. We camped at Powell Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

One word describes this place: perfect! Located in the heavily forested Bitterroot Mountains, yet easily accessible with paved interior roads and sites. We were lucky to have one of two pull-through sites, extra long with a large clearing for the table and fire ring. No cell or Aircard service, but some sites (ours included) allowed a clear shot to the satellite. Quiet, dark, and peaceful at night. Close to the Lochsa River and surrounded by high, tree-covered mountains, and within walking distance of the lodge and small store. A magical place; we'll stay here again. We camped at Powell Campground in a Motorhome.

One of the best NFS campgrounds we have found. One loop has 50 Amp service, the other unserviced. Paved roads and pads. There is a great lodge, Lochsa Lodge just before the entrance to the campground that has very good food at a very reasonable price. They also have gas and diesel moderately priced and free WiFi for customers. We camped at Powell Campground in a Motorhome.
Beautiful setting with sites nicely spaced. Water spigots spaced around campground but did not find spigot to fill RV water tank; electric at sites; there is no dump station; tough to rate the campground since it rained all evening so we didn't get to explore the area; would stay there again. We camped at Powell Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
Great forest service campground right on the Lochsa River off Hwy 12. There is only electric hook-ups for some of the sights but no water or sewer. It was a surprise this time as they had up-graded the electrical to include 50 amp service. This was our second visit here and we will go back. We camped at Powell Campground in a Motorhome.

This is a Forest Service campground in the Lolo pass area of Northern ID. Highway 12 is 45 miles west of Lola Montana. Very beautiful area and the plus for this camp is that they have plenty of spaces for larger rigs. Park have electrical to many sights which is unusual for a Forest camp. Restrooms clean with modern facilities, wonderful lodge next door for good meals. Campground host very accommodating, excellent place to stay in this area. We camped at Powell Campground in a Motorhome.
