Really liked this campground a lot. Camp host was very friendly and helpful. The only negative was the restrooms needed cleaning and especially the shower. The curtain between the showers needs replaced, it was moldy and cob webs need to be cleaned up. Other than that it was great!! We camped at Juniper Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

There is a great Produce Market (Scoreby's Market) in Idaho Falls. Lots of lovely falls to observe. Lovely city. Lots of shopping available if that is your thing. OTA channels PBS, ABC, CBS and a few less significant ones. We camped in a 36' motor home.

Not much to say. This is still a great campground in the Idaho Falls area. Full hookups, large sites, good cell service. Just a nice place, for $18 a night. Be cautious, as many sites a not level. B loop has the most level sites. We camped at Juniper Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a beautiful county park located near Ririe reservoir. Your Senior Pass gets you a $16 daily rate. Lots of green grass in loops A and B. Sites spaced far apart. Loop C is all pull thru sites and is first-come-first-served. Loops A and B sites can be reserved. Starting next year, site fee will increase to $25 a day and no ATVs will be allowed. We camped at Juniper Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Not much to add to what the others have said. At $16 with America the Beautiful discount it's a bargain for a full hookup. The only con is a strong smell of bovine residue wafting through through the camp. Truck campers will find B-16 perfect. We camped at Juniper Campground in a Truck Camper.

Overall Rating:

This is a beautiful campground about 12 miles from Idaho City. It's lush and the campsites are large. Roads in and out are in great shape and there's plenty of shopping in Idaho City. Cell service is great on Verizon, ATT and T-Mobile. Data speeds are over 10 d/l. The camp host is friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The bathrooms are very clean and the campground in general is spotless. The lake is pretty and great for boating or kayaking but there's no walkable beach area so it's not a swimming lake. Idaho Falls is a cute town with a really nice greenway walking area along the river. Lots of good restaurants and shops there. Site accessibility (excellent roads, easy to navigate, level site) - 5 Campground location (Close enough to civilization but far enough to be quiet) - 5 Nearby amenities (Everything 20 min away) - 4 Site Privacy (large sites, good privacy) - 5 Campground amenities (50 amp FHU) - 4 Dog friendly (Dogs allowed everywhere and plenty of places to roam) - 4 Activities (boating, biking, basketball) - 4 Cost ($18:night for FHU, no cable) - 5 Staff (Friendly and the campground is immaculate) - 5 Connectivity (Excellent Verizon, ATT and T-Mobile a couple of OTA channels) - 5 Total rating = 4.6. We camped at Juniper Campground in a Motorhome.

This is a beautiful campground with pull through and back in sites. Most sites are full hookup. Sites can be reserved but most sites are already reserved for each weekend by the locals but getting a site on Sunday through Thursday is not a problem. Electrical, water and sewer hookups were located near middle of sites but many of the sewer connections were above ground so sewer hose supports are necessary. No wifi or cable but got over a dozen TV stations on antenna. The sprinklers come on every evening staggered around the park and at our site they came on at 9:30 pm each night of our five night stay so may not want to leave chairs and other items out at night. My wife and I loved this campground and will definitely return again. We camped at Juniper Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Agree with the other reviewers, this is a real hidden gem. It's a county park located by the Juniper Dam Recreation Area and provides a very quiet and lusciously green retreat in an otherwise very dry landscape. The campground itself consists of 3 loops and has paved sites which are very nicely spaced-out and mixed together with grass & juniper bushes. There is very little shade (the juniper bushes provide spots of low-lying shade for the sitting area, but limited shade for the RV) & it can get very hot in summer, but many sites have full hookups (either 30 or 50 amp/water/sewer), plus prices are outstanding (only $18 for FHU!). Most sites have no view of the water except for sites 10,12,14 which have lovely views. Sitting areas are large and green (the sprinklers go on nightly) with picnic table and fire-pit, plus there is a lovely large green field area to walk doggie. The main ding is that some of the sites are far too unlevel for bigger rigs, especially some of the inner back-ins in A loop, and a few of the pull-throughs in B & C. However there are a good selection of sites that will fit any size and the campground is rarely full during the week (it does seem to get busier on the weekends). Overall we found this to be very quiet and the perfect spot to stop while we rested and stocked up in Idaho Falls. I wouldn't call this a destination location, but it's a great place and we'll definitely stay here again if we pass through the area. We camped at Juniper Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Be sure to visit the Museum in Idaho Falls. They change the exhibit but while we were there they had a great exhibit on Ancient Rome. Also even though it is a long drive I would recommend visiting Upper and Lower Mesa Falls getting there by the scenic route

This is a fairly clean park, though I found trash at my site. It's quiet, even on weekends. Sites are narrow, non-level, unshaded asphalt in very good condition. Each site has a picnic table and a fire ring with a grill. Voltage is good. Sewer connections are unthreaded. Roads are asphalt in very good condition. Verizon LTE works well.
Terrestrial broadcast TV: ABC CBS CW PBS.
Showers are private and accessible (roll-in). However, I found quite a few dead worms on the floor, the shower rooms are unheated, the water was never warm enough for me, there are no shower curtains, and it's impossible to adjust the shower head angle. We camped at Juniper Campground in a Motorhome.

Perfect park for overnight stay; quiet, spacious, green grass, paved level sites, trees, views of the lake, showers, full hookups, all for $16 night!! If you're in E Idaho on the way to/from Yellowstone, or heading east to Jackson/Teton Natl Park, this is a hidden gem. We camped at Juniper Campground in a Motorhome.

We are new to rving. This campground is hands down the best place we have stayed in. We have paid more money for primitive campgrounds in Utah. We will be going back to Juniper in the future. We camped at Juniper Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We had a hard time finding it as we were looking for a sign with the campground name. Turns out the sign was for the recreational dam. It is asphalt roads and spots. Full hook-ups

And great for overnite or long term stay. We camped at Juniper Campground in a Motorhome.

We camped here in a 40' motorhome on site C4. This is the newer section of the three sections of park. The interior roads and site pads are all asphalt and interior roads were easy to navigate. The site pad we were on (C4) was a large pull thru with plenty of room for motorhome and Jeep toad. Electric and water service were strong. We had a 2-3 bar Verizon cell phone signal and I was getting a 4G Millenicom WIFI signal. The only ding is that there are no shade trees in the campground [only Junipers] so it can get fairly hot during the daytime hours if you are trying to sit outside. The park is located about 15 miles from any reasonable grocery stores or places to eat. If you like boating or water sports, etc, the reservoir is available. The $16/night rate reflects our America the Beautiful Golden Age senior discount card pass rate. We would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Juniper Campground in a Motorhome.

A wonderful county park campground. We camped here in a 40' motorhome with toad. The sites a large and plenty of green space between sites. We were on site A20. Interior roads were wide paved asphalt and easy to maneuver around; pads were also asphalt. Many of the sites are 50 amp full hook up, but they do have some 30 amp, so check first. Bathrooms and showers were very clean. We got good Verizon cell service, 4G Verizon MIFI and satellite signal. They have a nine hole disc golf course in park. Located on the Ririe Reservoir they have ramps for launching your boats for boating and fishing. The park is about 15 miles from Idaho Falls, which has many good restaurants and shopping stores. We would definitely return again when in the area. Our rate reflects a $2 discount for seniors; normal rate for 50 amp full hook ups is $18/night (a deal!) We camped at Juniper Campground in a Motorhome.

Super Campground. Super Camp Host. Paved roads. Extra restrooms with showers. Some sites have view of the lake and dam. Weekend was pretty busy with locals but Sunday afternoon they all left and it got real quite and peaceful. 18 miles to Idaho Falls where there is a great walk/bike path along the Snake River and through city parks. Plenty of places to eat and things to do in IF. Rate reflects a $2.00 Senior Pass discount off the $18.00 full hookup rate. Will definitely stay here again.
